The loan had the make, model, and series of the boat so all the information was available to them so they can check what they need to check before approving the loan. On 12 Aug i received a call fromYesenia Madrigal stating my loan was approved. 13 Aug an email was sent to me requesting my proof of income and a bill of sale from the dealership. I provided both and she received them. Meanwhile we drove 110 miles to the dealership twice making plans for the pickup of the boat. We haven't heard anything from the bank for 4 days so I sent and email asking what was the status of the loan. the response I got was: "After pulling the NADA(value) for the boat we are at a value of $20,020 without trailer since no trailer information was provided on the Bill of Sale.. on Boats we are only able to lend 100% so we can't go above the $20K value". 1st, it took them 3 days to finally contact me with this information, Only after I asked the status. 2nd, who buys a boat without a trailer? 3rd,, they are going off the base price of the boat. It has been a big mistake since we did that. Somehow, TFCU is still sending us letters to ask for our car insurance information even after TWO months.
