For the last month I've been trying to get on-line with the sole intention of reviewing Bruce and making sure he gets the reputation he deserves: Excellent. I have twenty years of painting experience myself but now have a different job and can't necessarily take care of my own painting needs- especially on short notice. Having a rental property, I can't always control when I will have access and the need to paint. I've have other painters and dealt with many a repair person and I cannot recommend Bruce highly enough. Break down: Excellent customer service: He made an appointment to give me an estimate. He showed up on time. He emailed me within 24 hours and was very careful to be appropriately specific about exactly what and how I wanted the job done. Reliability: He showed up everyday, on time, ready to work and got right to it. He completed the job in the time frame we agreed upon, for the price we agreed upon. Quality: As a painter, I hate a sloppy prep job and can spot a bad cut in a mile away: Bruce does top-notch work. He does great prep and great finish. He is SCRUPulously neat. Bruce is an A+ painter. His meticulous nature shows in his work. We hired RBW to strip wall paper and paint our living room. We tried to strip the wall paper ourselves and it was a nightmare. Bruce came in and stripped it down to bare walls, fix some cracks and holes in the plaster and paint. Me and my wife watched his work and we're blown away with his attention to detail. He went over every inch of the walls until they were flawless. My living room looks amazing. We couldn't be happier with the quality and affordability if Bruce's work. Bruce seems like a really nice guy, but we've rescheduled three times due to him missing appointments that we've scheduled. By the third time I started to ask myself does this guy really run a painting business? I understand mishaps and scheduling errors -- they happen. But missing three appointments back to back and just not flat out showing up for the most recent appointment scheduled is just irresponsible and not indicative of a business owner. I am sorry that I didn't get to experience the superb characteristics that many folks have indicated here. I'm seeking business elsewhere. read more

We had a dormer wall that the previous owner had painted like the ceiling (popcorn ceiling). I had been making only a little bit of headway scraping the popcorn "stuff" off and sanding it down. It was taking me forever. We had used Bruce before and he did a great job so I asked him to come and give me an estimate of sanding and priming that area along with one for the whole room. The estimate was very reasonable so I asked him to sand and prime the problem area along with priming 2 coats on the whole room. He worked into the night the first night and finished the job the second night. My husband and I were highly satisfied. We would definitely use him again. He is very dependable. read more
