I moved and transferred over to this branch over 7 years ago. During this time period there has been some change in employees, but all have been very helpful to me. I have had my account wrongfully charged, which caused late fees to appear. The branch representative was very understanding and was able to get my funds back and remove the overdraft fees. I have had loans processed, CD's mature and even received reminders while in the branch of investments I might have been interested in. I cant even tell you how many times this bank is always having issues. The wait time in the drive thru from when i sent the canister to the time i received the deposit slip back was over 30 minutes. The 3 atms are always off line. 80% of the time, the atms wont allow cash deposits. Im thinking about closing my 3 personal accounts and my business a count because this is just ridiculous. This is the only rbfcu thats close to me. Dont open an account here. I'll be looking at other banks to go to. read more

I was extremely disappointed in the Potranco branch in San Antonio and in Randolph Brooks FCU in general. I'm blocked from mobile deposits because of a problem on my adult step-son's account and it couldn't be resolved over the phone, so I had to go in person to get help and make a deposit. Last Saturday around 11 am I went in and saw a line of people waiting for a teller, and someone sitting at the front desk with no line. I told Daniel about my problem and he refused to help me, telling me I need to get in line with everybody else, that he has other costumers he needs to help. by this time there was one other customer behind me, but at least 15 in line for a teller. I explained that this is not a normal customer service matter, that I've already tried to resolve this over the phone, that I shouldn't even have to be here because this shouldn't be an issue, but he was adamant. He would rather have me tie up a teller for however long it takes when there's already 15 people in line, instead of helping me himself with only 1 customer waiting for him. So then I had to stand in line for about 25 minutes, and then I was helped by a very nice teller who really tried to help me. I think her name was Diana. She called and spoke to people and said things were fixed and it should correct itself automatically very soon, but it didn't . There were only 3 tellers available and I took nearly 30 minutes of her time while people waited just to make deposits, because Daniel did not want to help me. I found their customer contact email address and messaged them about what happened, and I got a reply the same day that someone from the branch would contact me to discuss my issue. It was Wednesday evening when I thought about it again and realized that no one ever called. When I messaged the customer contact people this, they said someone would contact me as soon as possible. That "messages were replied to in the order that they were received." Yeah, same attitude as at the branch! I messaged again that it was ridiculous that no one could contact me in three days, and I was closing my accounts. They replied again, this time saying that they checked with the branch manager, and he said that he tried to call me twice and left two voicemails. I could contact him at the number given. I checked my history and there were no calls and no voicemails. Why should I call him! I'm the customer! I'm closing my accounts with Randolph Brooks and you probably should, too! They used to be a great company, and it really saddens me to see how poorly the Potranco branch is run. I never thought I'd be in this position. Horrible customer service , got charge 2 times courtesy change fee 24.00 ,i try talking to someone and a manager didn't do anything to resolving my problem, don't use this bank they just want your money .. no help at all .. read more

I have been a member at RBFCU for approximately 12 years give or take, never had or caused any problems and on the rare occasion I have an interaction with the employees there, they have always been accommodating and pleasant to deal with. During the time I have been a member there, I have financed two vehicles through them, never made a payment late or missed one. I was always given their best interest rate. In September of 2021, it was time to replace my 2008 Highlander and I got my loan at RBFCU. The problem is, while they were advertising their best rate as 1.95%, that isn't the rate they offered to me, an established member with an impeccable record and an excellent credit rating. The loan I received is a very good rate, maybe .15% or .20% higher than their best rate, but when I requested an explanation through their regular channels, I was ignored. The second request was addressed with what appeared to be generalized copy and paste verbiage that could have applied to just about anyone. Its not a big enough deal to convince me to move my business elsewhere, but I think that given the length of time I have been a member there and my excellent track record, I absolutely deserve a genuine response to my inquiry regarding the rate. I believe I have earned at least earned that much. read more

First and foremost from I should have seen this place for what it truly is. When I first opened an account and a line of credit they started with the bigoted declines. I challenged them in writing because I know credit and law. I finally got the line amount I was asking for. Fast forward 4 years later to today and it's back to same shameful disrespectful and erroneous AA for a turn down. I will begin the legal process to have them outed. RBFCU leaves a lot to be desired in a bank. A few things that stand out to me are the following. 1) Never enough tellers. Expect a wait. 2) Never knowing what your account number is. Account numbers aren't a part of your check card anymore, nor can you find your complete account number when accessing your account using their app. Be prepared to pull out your driver's license every time you want to make a deposit. 3) No deposits via ATM. Nope. Can't do it. Not a check, and certainly not cash. According to RBFCU, it became a liability having to empty the machine several times a day. Seriously?! While every other mid-level to major bank has mastered this seemingly simply task of ATM deposits, RBFCU requires either going into the lobby or drive thru. On a positive note, their tele-banking seems to work nicely, and their car loan rates/refinance rates are very competitive. Oh, and the armed guard on duty does provide a sense of security. read more

Friendly. Fast. Federal. What's not to like? This location is far for me, or I would use it more often. It's small, set in a great location and the facility appears brand new! TIP: Park and go in - it's worth the old school feeling. :) read more
