I got the worst service than I have ever gotten at Randolph Brooks today. I entered this facility with my 85 year-old mother who is in a wheelchair to open her up a bank account. Upon entering, there was a girl sitting at a desk and I said "I'd like to open an account please." She promptly said "I cannot do that for you right now because I am at lunch ". (she obviously had already eaten her lunch because she was sitting at her desk doing other things., the correct thing for her to do is be an exceptional employee and figure out how to open an account for my elderly mother) I said "do you have anyone covering for you?" and she said "yes, but she is at lunch too." (Obviously this girl does not understand what covering for you means). I repeated myself using different verbiage. "Does anyone open the accounts while you are at lunch? " She said slowly as if trying to get me to understand "yes but she is at lunch". Oh my gosh. I said "OK what time do you get back from lunch?" and she said "I cannot help you today. You will have to call and make an appointment. " I'm literally standing there with an 85-year-old woman in a wheelchair wanting to open an account and I am told NO My family has been with Randolph Brooks for three generations. This is the first time anything like this has ever happened. Everyone in my family has an account with Randolph Brooks. I have walked into the Randolph Brooks in round rock more times than I can count with various issues or problems or needs, and they have always helped me in such a kind understanding and competent manner. I am Randolph Brooks client for life, but I will never go into this Georgetown office again. I'd rather drive 20 minutes to round rock and get the help that I deserve as a valued client. This employee should be fired. read more

I have had several loans through RBFCU . Have had 2 car loans, an RV loan and three vacation loans. Paid every one of them off, never missed a payment, so when I asked for my usual 2000 dollar Christmas loan, I was surprised to be turned down! They use to feel like a small town bank, where they knew your name, but that seems to have gone away! Looking for another bank! read more

I have been with RBFCU since 2012. In the past two years things seem to have gone downhill. I have had several issues with AUTOPAY (AT&T and APPLE). Instead of being helpful, they blame the merchants. I had a deposit issue earlier in the year. RBFCU appears to now have poorly trained employees who aren't particularly customer focused. Today I had an issue with an ignorant and very defensive customer service representative. The firm has lost its customer focus as compared with the past. I was a supporter of RBFCU in the past but no longer. I can only guess that there are other problems impacting everything with the firm's business culture change. read more

Terrible experience. I'm a former RBFCU member and I use the word "former" very strongly here. I left because of their absurd overdraft fees constantly stacking on my account. If you see back to back charges and tack on an overdraft for each one, you're never going to have an opportunity for the account owner to get it positive. I certainly couldn't and I tried. Can't materialize money before payday though and every additional fee made it so much harder to bounce back. Aside from that, their counter staff at this location, and in particular a male manager, were incredibly rude and unprofessional. In spite of my reservations about this not so fine institution, my partner wanted to try and cash their check there. The idea was to sign it over to my mom, who had an active account open there (had as she has since closed her account and moved to another bank) and she'd be able to deposit it to her account. This should have been a simple process - someone pays another individual with their check (a legal check from a government institute) and it gets deposited as the account owner's who can then do whatever they want with it. This is what happened instead. Teller gives us confused looks, then suspicious looks, and leaves to fetch her boss. Fine, this looks weird I guess, if you've worked at a bank for five minutes and never seen a third party payee before. The manager comes out, takes a look at our documents, and says no. I believe my partner confused the poor man by telling him they'd had a name change and an old, long closed account with RBFCU under their dead name. This was not relevant to the situation as the check was being signed over, legally, to my mother who had an account there. My partner is trans and honestly, I got a very off putting vibe from the manager. Rather than dealing with our request, or asking questions for more information, he looked my partner dead in the eye and said "we can't help you, because we don't know you". Their dead name was not on the check - their legal one was and they have every document to prove it. His response was blunt and disturbing. This had never been my experience at RBFCU, in their branches, talking to their team. This man made us all uncomfortable and I would advise people to stay away. read more

If you need to pay large bills online, this is not the bank for you. They will require you to make multiple payments for one bill, or require you to call your credit card company and give them all your banking information. Annoying and not acceptable. read more

Very dissatisfied with this credit union. We went in several months ago to deposit two checks. It took a half hour, to deposit only, and then those funds were not available for two weeks. Today, I went in to exchange a 20 dollar bill for two tens... an all cash transaction. No other customers were in the lobby when I entered. One cashier was at the stations, handing a large amount of cash. It was fifteen minutes before anyone helped me, after I requested assistance twice. Then, to get the change, I needed to provide my card, my driver's license and then they had to make a deposit, then withdrawal from my saving account. WTH? It took me 25 minutes to get two tens for a twenty dollar bill, it should have been an all cash transaction and out the door. I must be a pretty shifty looking 70 year old! We plan to close out our account nest week, only waiting because tomorrow is Saturday. read more

This credit union is a joke. I was locked out of my debit card on Saturday 2/19. I called customer service and they rest my PIN. I was locked out again for no reason, they are having trouble with their system possibly due to power outages from the ice storm. Customer service is not available today. That means I cannot get cash or buy groceries for my family. I paid off my credit cards and rely 100% on my debit card. I've never had a problem like this and never changed my PIN. Also, I refinanced my mortgage with these people and it took almost 4 months to get that done. These folks are small time bankers, going back to the big boys. Great rates, shitty service. Great banking experience every time. Georgetown needed an RBFCU (not another mattress store) and this one is in a great easy to acccess location at the Wolf Ranch shopping center. The staff are very polite, friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and capable. This location offers all services, banking, loans, refi's, investments, and sit down one on one help. This location does not have any safe deposit boxes however. I had missed the 'in-person' personal bankink experience and am very happy now that this RBFCU is here. Overall a wonderful place to bank with. read more

Worst bank ever. Went in to open a business account and didn't realize my DBA used for my real estate business had expired. I also have a business which I established 4 years ago and I informed the CSR of that business and she tried to do a name search and acted as if she could not find it. One I showed her on my phone that it was in fact on the Travis county's website she disconnected the video call. I called in to the business support department and spoke with a Ashley and explain what had happened. Ashley did go on to Travis county's website and found the DBA. I was told by Ashley I had 2 options I could walk in to a branch and open the account or send the documents by email. I let her know that I would walk into the branch. I then asked her if she could help me locate a branch near me and she did. Ashley told me once I get to the bank, let them know that Ashley from support has the DBA and to give her a call. I went in the branch checked in and went back to speak with another rep. I let her know that Ashley from support has my DBA documents and if she could contact her. The CSR contacted Ashley and she sent a message back that she did not have time and that she was going into a meeting with her manager. The CSR did a name search and acted as if she could not find the business. I let her know that this was just a sign that this was not a good bank for me. We can all say we appreciate banks for following the protocol for opening up a business account but the level of unprofessionalism is horrible. I'm now wondering was the 2nd CSR that I spoke with assigned assist me because we were both African Americans and they didn't won't it to seem racist when In fact it was and I was treating like I was some type of criminal. Maybe leaving my bank was not a good idea after all. I Was only leaving them because of the high monthly fee for my accounts, but after this I will stay and pay that fee. I've never experienced this from a bank in my life. I've seen horrible reviews everywhere now that this has taken place. I'm going to make sure I let all of my colleagues know not to bank with them and my experience will be shared on every platform I can share it own. read more
