We just finished completely remodeling our master bathroom with Hilton Head Kitchen and Tile…read more Previously we used them to remodel our kitchen. And soon we will remodel our laundry room and guest bathroom with them. I guess this says all you need to know about what we think about HH Kitchen and Tile. They are true professionals. Each person that comes to our house is at the top of their game. Perfectionists one and all. We are not saavy when it comes to remodeling. So we especially appreciate Randy and Debbie helping us form and decide what we want to do. The suggestions they offer are right on and give us what we need to feel comfortable to proceed. You never hear "we can't do that". It's always "yes we can do that". They are always on time. They are considerate of our space. They always clean up after themselves. Our remodel included a lot of carpentry, plumbing and electrical work. Our previous shower was now turned into a beautiful closet with many drawers and shelves. Our unused tub turned into a walk in shower. The existing window in the shower now has the ability to either fog or clear with a click of a switch. We want to thank in addition to Randy and Debbie Travis, Paul, Donny, Javier and Jose for their excellent work and for putting up with us. Needless to say, we highly recommend them!

EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS--AND EVERY TIME…read more Let me start out by saying that my expectations are low here on Hilton Head. That's not to diminish the aforementioned statement in any way, but I've lived in 8 states and have never been in a place so "infested" by semi-con artist contractors as here. If anything, at a minimum, they gouge customers as if we are all multi-millionaires. I digress. Rob is as obsessed with perfection as any contractor I've ever worked with. He recently completed his third project for me--this time, a more serious remodel that included adding a 1/2 bathroom and renovating an office to include built-in bookshelves. "Handyman" is a good word for him, as he is skilled in a multitude of fields to include: electrical, general construction, plumbing, carpentry, flooring installation, and the lost art of drywall taping. As part of this project included all of the above. It is RARE for a contractor to be "bothered" by some slight imperfection rather than the homeowner, but that has been the case all along. He is honest (so much so, I've left the house to him alone on many occasions), fairly accurate in his estimates, and detailed oriented. Because of his diverse background (that to include real estate), he has an "eye" for what "flows" during a remodel and what does not. Unless his schedule conflicts greatly with my next or any future project, I will use him for all of the above specialties exclusively. Don't waste your time hunting down a rare find on Hilton Head. While I am sure there are a few, it will take excessive time to find them out.

We visited the showroom and Natalia helped us pick out a flooring that coordinated well with our existing laminate flooring. Floors To GO is the Only Flooring Company You Should Trust in Bluffton, SC!…read more After calling and visiting over 10 different flooring companies in Bluffton and the surrounding area, I was frustrated and disappointed with the service (or lack thereof) everywhere else. Most places were only interested in giving a quick price and rushing the process, with no interest in what I actually needed or what would work best for my home. It felt like they just wanted to take my money and move on. All of that changed the moment I walked into Floors To GO on Fording Island Road. From the minute I stepped in the door, the staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely focused on helping me. I felt comfortable immediately. The team took the time to listen, answer my questions, and actually cared about getting me the right product and the best value--not just pushing a sale. Their showroom selection is off the charts--by far the widest and most impressive range of flooring options I've seen anywhere in the Lowcountry. Whether you're looking for luxury vinyl, hardwood, carpet, or something unique, they have it all, and they'll actually walk you through the pros and cons based on your needs. They promptly scheduled a home visit, came out to measure, and made sure every detail was right. I'm moving forward with Floors To GO and honestly wouldn't consider anyone else. This is how a flooring company should treat its customers. If you want amazing service, honest advice, and a stress-free experience, go straight to Floors To GO. Five stars all the way!

Our primary bath remodel experience with Beach House Construction was a nightmare. After signing…read morethe contract I told Paul Ballard that I believed a permit was needed and he got very agitated. Turns out the company is not licensed to do plumbing or electric, so he pulled a permit under the name of Hackett Construction that we never met and did none of the work. We had to point out many issues, including the shower valve and ventilation fans that were installed incorrectly. The quality of the work, particularly the painting, is poor. Their rational when I complained was "we always add freight". I paid it and moved on. Now a few months later the binding is falling off. I called and was told that I would have to take the 12X14FT piece to the company who did the binding FOR THEM! "They are good about honoring their work" they said... I told them that I bought the rug from them bound and I expected them to deal with it. How am I going to get a rug that size to the binder? Their offer was to pick it up but that they would have to charge me $120 to do so. I always tell others when I have a good experience with a company. The $49.00 had me deciding not to do business with them again. This experience has me motivated to tell everyone I can about Variety's idea of standing behind their products and taking care of their customers. There are plenty of other companies out there. Walk, do not run to another one.
