I was looking for a gynecologist through the zocdoc platform nearby. I chose Dr. Yuliya because…read moresome good reviews and mostly because she had plenty of slots available. I proceed to book my appointment for the same day few hours prior. MY appointment was scheduled for 2:00pm and I arrived at 2:17pm. I understand that I was running late and also that I had to sorted out a minor insurance discrepancy which took another extra 10/15 min the most. Once they confirmed all the information, I waited another addition 45 min at the office and never was seeing by the doctor. Patients are overbooked ( while I was in the office five patients arrived almost at the same time) open slots back to back in the portal and in others platforms but there is only one provider. Plus she squeeze another patients who doesn't required a full consultation (like a birth control prescription or medical results) between the ones who has appointments scheduled. Totally Unacceptable, she is looking for numbers ($). I wasted one hour and half for nothing! Don't go there if you don't have plenty of time to wait or if you want to use your lunch break for a quick doctor visit.

I was referred to Dr. Yuliya Boruch by a close friend after years of struggling to find a…read moretrustworthy and reliable OB-GYN. At first, I was thrilled--Dr. Yuliya was incredibly sweet, and her staff was warm and welcoming. Unfortunately, my experience quickly deteriorated, and I came to realize this practice is yet another example of a healthcare provider overcharging patients while under-delivering on care. First, the unprofessionalism: last year, this practice launched a Kickstarter campaign for a tampon product. Instead of keeping this separate from her medical practice, Dr. Yuliya used her entire patient database to send out daily emails soliciting donations. While I understand entrepreneurial pursuits, it's entirely inappropriate to use patient contact information for personal gain. Then came the real issues with care. I went in for my routine annual exam and received an automated message through the patient portal a few days later (on 11/14) notifying me that my Pap smear results showed high-risk HPV and ASCUS cells. This was alarming and required urgent follow-up. However, no one from the office called or provided any guidance. I sent a message through the portal on 11/15 asking about next steps--no response. I followed up with multiple calls and emails over the next several days and heard nothing until 11/26 (nearly two weeks later and right before Thanksgiving), when Dr. Yuliya sent me a rushed message through the portal: "Yes, you need a colposcopy, call the office." That was it. No explanation, no compassion, and no effort to walk me through what was happening. As if that wasn't bad enough, I then received a bill for $478.36. Confused, I reviewed the invoice and discovered I was being charged for an array of unnecessary services supposedly tied to diagnosing a UTI I had mentioned during the same visit. These charges included: * Evaluation and Management: $89.63 * Ultrasound limited scan: $137.46 * Ultrasound of pelvis: $115.52 * Ultrasound of pelvis through vagina: $130.92 * Urine test: $3.44 * Urinalysis, manual test: $1.39 While I expected a small charge for a urine test, why on earth were multiple ultrasounds conducted for a simple UTI? After reaching out to the office several times for an explanation, I received vague responses that left me feeling like this was a money-grab to make up for the failed tampon Kickstarter campaign. The bottom line: Dr. Yuliya doesn't seem to prioritize patient care. She failed to provide timely follow-up on serious test results, communicated in incomplete sentences that lacked any professionalism or empathy, and billed me for "extra services" without justification. Do yourself a favor and do not come here. Seek care elsewhere from a provider who truly values their patients and operates with integrity.

Right from the start she helped to ease any anxieties we had (which were a lot). She was extremely nurturing from the very beginning through the end. She never tried to persuade me into anything. She always listened and gave me wonderful information. In fact, she still asks about our son to this day and we love catching up over lunches when we are back in the city. She helped my husband, through much sweat and sore muscles, massage my back through 5 hours of super intense, level ten contractions. She never left my side or took a break. I ended up having a c-section and she even made that so special! She was quiet, positive and reassuring at ever step. She snapped gorgeous photos and filmed beautiful video throughout (I didn't even know she was doing this). She was there through the entire labor surgery and recovery room (which was about 20 hours), and which was where she taught me, in under a minute, how to breastfeed. She immediately got the baby latched on perfectly, helped me to understand just how to position him, and I never had a problem breastfeeding, nor did our son! In her home visit after the birth, she gave us a beautifully written letter, detailing ever aspect of that day. Our doctor (who was also in credibly amazing) was so impressed with her that he asked for her contact information as well, because through her, he realized her the immense value of having a doula by our sides the whole time.

To be very honest...I didn't even know what a doula is or if I needed one. But being a FTM, I had so many questions and worries about giving birth. I started to do research, and was recommended to check out Annette. And I am so glad I did! From the first conversation, I knew I was in the right hands. I am anxious and an over-thinker, but thankfully Annette's expertise and calming nature helped ease all of that. Most importantly, she helped me become informed in all of my options - so I was able to make the best choices for me and my baby throughout the whole experience - especially when dealing with doctors (which can be rather intimidating). Finally, she was also beyond helpful and reassuring to my support person, my mother...as the two of them together helped me welcome my son into this world. Annette takes on many roles while helping - a coach, a best friend, a cheerleader, an educator and many more. My family is forever thankful to her, and highly recommend having her in your corner to anyone on the beautiful, yet sometimes rather wild, pregnancy journey.

I did not do any research about the type of pregnancy and birth experience I wanted and that led to an overall negative experience. They were always easy to reach listening to all concerns, answering all my questions, and providing me with numerous educational resources. They were also very supportive of my goal to have a VBAC, and helped me successfully have one! I owe my positive pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience to Village Maternity. Yael came over twice during the pregnancy to talk to us and answer any questions we had. She assisted us not only with preparing for the birth, but also with newborn care basics. During my wife's labor she was a calm spirit, who helped my wife feel comfortable and helped support me in knowing how I could help best. She was the best decision we made. In fact one of the first things my wife and I said the day after our daughter was born was that we didn't pay Yael enough. She is worth every penny! If you are looking for a NATURAL midwife, she is NOT for you. She might be a nice person, but she…read moredidn't share my philosophy wanting a natural birth. She induces at 41 weeks, will give you an IV, will do constant fetal monitoring, will not allow you to eat /drink during labor, will make you give birth in HER position that works for her. She has more of an MD philosophy than a midwife one. Her staff was not very warm. When I switched out of her office, she was penny pinching, charging me $30 for my records because she says she is legally allowed to charge me 75 cents a copy. To compare, I've asked other offices, and they said they would not charge me for my records if I left. Not the person I want to delivery my baby.

She could be a great choice for some women. But if you are looking for a midwife because you are hoping for an unmedicated birth, or because you want a caregiver who will really partner with you in your pregnancy--as opposed to tell you the one right way to make every decision--than Elizabeth Stein is the wrong choice. Having a good experience with her means never ever questioning any of her reccomendations--doing so makes her very defensive and angry. You may think "oh what would I questions about?" Well, there are a lot of choices along the way that are not black and white--your labor has stalled; would you rather have pitocin or have your membranes ruptured or just give it time? Some doctors and midwives will work with you to come to a decision that you both feel good about. Stein will not. Personally my experience with her was truly terrible for reasons too many to name, but the most important reason may be that at several junctures she was simply not nice to me. In the hospital every random shift nurse I dealt with in the hospital was about ten times more patient and kind than she was - my roommate even remarked about it. Pregnancy, labor, postpartum are all times where you want someone to be nice to you.

I understand that emergencies arise, but this seemed like every day was an emergency. On the day of my scheduled c-section, Dr. Moritz turned to my mother and husband and told them that I'm a "nasty woman", not what you want to hear from a man who is about to cut open your stomach and deliver your baby. This was my second c-section but my first with Dr. Moritz. I had a much more difficult recovery than my first which was an emergency c-section. I just also learned that it left me with an isthmocele and I may need to have my uterus removed. As a warning to all other women, save yourself and find another doctor.

Here, I received absolutely zero information . I did get to ask questions, but my questions are mostly focused on foods/supplements, and doctor Moritz didn't really provide any extra information other than answering my questions. When I left and tried to make next appointment, I was given a 11:15am, because there's no earlier openings. I asked whether the wait would be this long. The front desk told me "it'd be depend on how many patients he put to the 10am". I mean didn't you just tell me there's nothing before 11:15? But the doctor has discretion to put his long time or favorite patients above everyone else?! To me that's very disrespectful of everyone else's time. In summary, is he a good doctor? Yes. Would I ever come back and wait for over an hour again? No.
