This is a very professional tree services company. I've used Ray's Tree Service in the past for commercial and residential tree maintenance and removal. The crews always shows up ready to perform their work, I have added Ray's into my personal contacts so I can find them quickly for any of my landscaping needs. I hired Ray's Tree Service to trim my palm tree on 2/14. They assured me that someone would come out within the next couple of days. Days later, they requested payment, which I sent, trusting that the job had been completed. I had previously explained that the property was up for sale and emphasized the urgency of getting the work done as soon as possible. Weeks passed, and when I finally visited the property, I realized they had never done the job despite charging me. This was outright theft, as they took my money while falsely leading me to believe the work had been completed. When I called to inquire about the situation, they apologized and claimed they would send someone out, but that was another lie. After that, I made multiple attempts to contact them, but they ignored my calls and never refunded my money. I would not recommend their service to anyone! I've used them two times now in Sylvan Lakes Reserve. There are 4-5 guys. Each has his job. They are fair priced, hard working and clean up after they complete the job. They have the right equipment. My yard looks so much better. I recommend them highly. read more

They did a good job in cutting down the tree but horrible when it came to clean up and stump removal. The stump is actually still there even after him coming back to finish the stump. So I decided along with my family to try and get rid of it little by little. Next time I will know better when hiring a company. read more

We received at least five other estimates and decided to go with Ray's Tree Service based on their fair estimate. We were not disappointed with the completed project. Ray's Tree Service sent a representative out to my property to give me a quote on trimming and pruning three trees in my front yard. The young man who came out to do the estimate was friendly and thorough in completing his estimate and gave me a written copy. The problem I had with this business was not the man who came to do the estimate. He did a fine job. The problem was getting the work scheduled. When I called their office and spoke with a woman, she told me she would check their schedule and get back to me with options. I had to contact her again, because she never called me back. When I connected with her the second time, she said she was waiting to hear from another customer near me and wanted to schedule both jobs the same day but had to wait until she heard back from this "other customer." I had to call back again after 4-6 days and she told me she tried to call but no answer. She never called. She rattled off my phone number but the last digit was incorrect, even though I gave the company my number in writing when I requested an estimate. She told me she would have to call me back after she checked her schedule. She never called back. I called again and this time their answering machine intercepted my call and I left a message that if I didn't hear back by 2pm that day I would look for another tree service. Guess what? I didn't hear back from her. So, if you're looking for a reputable tree service, I'd recommend you bypass Ray's Tree Service and go with one of the more established services in our area. read more

I called Rays Tree Service to remove a dead tree for my backyard they came out quickly and gave me a fair quote. In fact it was the lowest quote I had received so far. I employed them to do the work the following week. Sadly a tropical storm came through on that Monday and they were unable to do the work. They did not call me however until late in the day to let me know. They told me they would come out the next day to do the work and they did. While they were here they told me that I needed to have another tree removed. Wally gave me a really good quote, lower than I expected but was happy because I'm on quite the budget. He told me that he would come out and do the work later that week. He never showed. I texted him and called several times and he kept giving excuses about his truck being out of commission and what not. Finally after a few weeks I told him that I was going to go get quotes from other companies. I never heard from them again. I believe that they underbid my job and didn't want to have to do the work. Now that I've done some research I realize that they don't hold insurance and are not a professional tree trimming company. Well I was satisfied with the work that they did in my backyard I am not impressed with their lack of professionalism. I can understand that they bed too low for the job but would've rather them given me a more realistic price or let me know so that I didn't waste my time waiting for them. Or worse the tree fell on my house or my neighbors and cost me a lot more read more
