What I got were delays, denials and blame placing. My mistakes are that I trusted him initially , continued to hope for satisfactory results even after the lies became obvious, and paying by Zelle before completion. The results: frustration, uncertainty, increased costs, sloppy work, and a project that I must now pay another contractor to finish. Frankly, I feel foolish... the Grifter really played me.

I was a bit apprehensive that they may…read morehave gone out of business since all the other reviews are from 2018, but they've survived the lockdown and are still doing the excellent work that others commend. Everything about the work I needed done was first-class. I got an immediate response to my initial query, we set a time and date for the work to be done, and then I was sent an email confirming those details with a Google map identifying the location of my house. An opportunity, in other words, to correct anything wrong. The repairman arrived exactly on time, reviewed the work to be done, and had it completed in less than an hour. We had two jobs for him and both were done expertly with no mess to clean up later. I'm guessing they charge by the number of people sent and by the hour. Immediately after the repairman left, I got an email invoice with a fair and reasonable price for one man, working one hour. I've had trouble these past two years finding an available and competent handyman. No more! Toolbox is IT from now on!

After experiencing years of disappointing "home repair" people, I've finally found someone amazing…read morein Joseph Lavorico of Lavorico Construction, a licensed General Contractor. The support posts on my wooden patio structure were dry rotted, as was the support post and railings on my front porch which desperately needed to be replaced (not an easy task). He responded to my message right away, came out for an estimate and booked me for the next week. Came on time, started working and he was meticulous in making sure structures were secure, posts were level, proper base brackets installed, etc. His worker, Polo, was equally knowledgeable, and an excellent carpenter, who worked very long hours non-stop. Great communication throughout the process, painted and cleaned up everything...no mess left behind. I will definitely call on him again and highly recommend Lavorico Construction (707) 363-6597 if you need any work done!

Dave did the final measuring and the installation and he was fantastic to work with. I also can't say enough about the office staff. I had many, many questions as I tried to decide exactly what kind of windows I wanted. She was always extremely prompt in responding to my questions and unfailingly courteous. My new Milgard windows are beautiful and I couldn't be more pleased. I would absolutely recommend this company and will use them again when I need more windows replaced.

I had previously used D&D Glassworks with good results, but this French-door project was…read moredisappointing--especially for an expensive project costing more than $7,000. The doors were repeatedly delayed, the wrong handles were installed, and the insect screens were missing with no firm installation date provided. The screens were included in the project price, and I had already paid a substantial deposit toward the order. Initially, D&D offered to let me withhold only $100 despite being unable to provide an installation date for the screens. After I objected, they agreed to leave $500 unpaid until the screens could be supplied and installed. They are now asking me to pay that remaining $500 even though, at the time of this review, they still do not have the screens and the screens have not been installed. A trim piece was also left for us to have cut. I was not told before the installation that the new exterior trim and the white caulking around the trim joints would still need to be painted, leaving me with additional work and expense to finish the project properly. D&D later offered to replace the handles and arrange to have the trim piece cut, but I declined because I had lost confidence in their communication and follow-through. I decided to complete the remaining work myself. Update: My main concern remains the outstanding $500. Your email stated that I could leave $500 unpaid for the screen and its installation until you were able to complete that work. The screens are still unavailable, have not been installed, and no firm installation date has been provided. Despite this, I was being asked to pay the $500 balance. Regarding the handles, I had to contact you on July 30 because I had received no update and assumed they had not arrived as expected. Only after my email was I told that the replacement handles had arrived that afternoon, and a return appointment was then offered. Given the repeated delays and lack of timely communication, I chose not to have your company return. My review reflects my experience with this particular project, and I stand by it.
