While this HyVee is currently under construction (they are almost done... finally!), and the…read moreparking/entrance is a little wonky, this place is still pretty convenient. I'm glad to see they have added a bulk food section... however, they do not have the ability to tare glass containers so if you are trying to minimize waste and use reusables, you either have to bring bags that are lightweight or just have to use what they have there. I really wish they would figure out a way to accommodate this, as it's often hard to put spices/powdered goods into cloth bags. We do generally prefer Fareway for our beef and chicken... for whatever reason we've had some chewy chicken from HyVee. But HyVee has a much better selection when it comes to organic and "health" food than Fareway does. A random/funny note: One of our cashiers (college-aged) once had to ask us what a head of garlic was. She said she doesn't really eat vegetables so she doesn't know what they all are when they don't have stickers... ;) Oh, they always have the sweetest ladies cooking/giving out samples of food. It's always so good and they are very fun to chat with about cooking/food.

The place: It is conveniently located, surroundings are clean, and the store is clean. Staff: The staff is very attentive and kind. They were quick to acknowledge when customers walked in. Ice cream: It was great! The taste and consistency were right on the money. I had chocolate brownie (or brownie dough). The flavor was what you can expect from a very good quality chocolate (characteristic cocoa essence, not very sweet). It was creamy and not "icy" at all. Details: They put the waffle cup on a plastic ice cream cup. This helps avoid any mess, or the waffle breaking and you dropping the ice cream. This is very thoughtful and I appreciate it very much as part of a great service.

I loved the sights the smells, the ambience, the love of the employees and the feel of the air on my pores and wrinkly exposed skin. My feet twitched with joy as I crept through the aisles like a lion. Pacing, looking for my prey, I needed a bottle of Aloe Vera and a bottle of Powerade to quench my thirst and cure my burns. My baby daddy became quite aggressive whilst we waited in line and I got embarrassed in front of the hot cashier. Perfect place to take the family and if I didn't know better I'd say this place was the cure to cancer. Whatever you do you HAVE to book a vacation to this Walmart hotspot PLEASE. Amazing place!

I found everything I came in for which shocked me. I originally thought I would have to order online. Huge selection of protein powder which included the Garden of Life brand which in my humble opinion is the best protein powder on the market. I was able to pickup Hawaiian spiralina and barley grass powder both hard to find locally. They also had some of the best prices on large bags of nutritional yeast. As for the produce, I thought it was a little pricey but good selection of organically grown items. In found a lot of great healthy snack options in the middle aisles such as kale chips, sea weed sheets and nuts. Their natural personal care products selection had a good variety to choose from as did the supplements section. This store reminded me of Sprouts Farmers Market only with a much smaller produce department. Customer service was awesome. They do have some boxes but best to bring your own bags.
