Got my cut here 5 times and they did really good 4/5 times but the fifth time was so bad I won't ever go back. First off I made an appointment and when I showed up on time no one was in the shop, so I called and they told me to wait 5 minutes. When I tried to show the barber a reference photo, he ignored it. When I tried to describe what I wanted, the barber cut me off and asked questions that I had just answered. During the cut, he jerked my head around and told me to sit still. When it was done, I was absolutely devastated. What I got was not what I asked for at all, and I look like shit. I had to go somewhere else to get it fixed and pay double what I should have to for a cut. Getting a haircut here is a gamble. If you do it, just hope they don't ruin your hair growth. read more

One of the best haircuts I received in a very long time. I went during vacation to see if I should transfer to the NAU. The barber named Chav gave me a perfect low taper under cut, a small trim off the top and didn't over do anything and did exactly what I asked him to do. Met up with Nicky at another barber shop in town and I heard he went back to Ray's Barber Shop so I got a hold of him. I was in the military for 20 years and had the same short haircut even longer. Talking to other barbers, they did not seem to listen. I would tell them I want to get away from the flat top and they would seem to listen, but they weren't really. When I told Nicky I wanted something different, he listened and asked questions. He gave me some ideas and asked if I was ok with his thoughts and I said go for it. Never in my years of getting my haircut have I had a barber listen to what I wanted and took their time on cutting my hair. Most barbers want to get you out in like 15 minutes so they can move on to the next customer. If you want a barber that will listen to you, give Nicky the Barber a chance. read more

Lucas gives a great cut! My husband followed him from Kuttz and says he's excited to, "Finally have a go-to barber in town." Would def recommend getting a cut from him if you're struggling to find someone who'll listen to what you want, give suggestions, take his time, and do a worthwhile job. Nick is literally the best! He does a killer job with men's cuts. He is taking over this place and will be running one of the most legit barber shops I've ever seen. They take walk ins and I was lucky enough to wait only a short time on a Friday. Salvador took good care of me and was very meticulous.

Worst barber experience ever. I was shuffled out the door before I could ask when lunch would be completed so I could return for a haircut, as no time was listed on their note indicating when they'd be reopened. A real barber shop. It was reccomend by a friend who had gone there for years. I had to find a new barber, since my previous one closed his shop suddenly. There one time and the space cleaned out the next. Ray's has three barbers and they do a haircuts I'm happy with. Prices are reasonable and I'll continue being a customer. read more

Was looking for a wet shave and mustache trim and got so much more, Nick welcomed me in with a smile and great conversations, before I even mentioned what I wanted Nick was offering me a clean up on my hair with the shave since it was my first time, Most places I have been too made me feel rushed, Nick spent an hour making sure I left satisfied. These guys don't care about their customers. There is only one barber worth anything in this place; Older John. The others don't seem to care about the customers and treat them like cattle; preferring instead to take two-hour alcohol infused lunches that are unannounced and will ask you to leave and come back later despite letting you walk into the shop and take a seat. I am a very generous tipper to Older John but the other barbers in the joint do not deserve your business because it is not important to them. If Older John isn't there (the first chair), just walk right out and go somewhere else because they don't care about your business, or how long you have been going there, or what your haircut needs are. I came here to get my haircut because I am performing every weekend this month and I need to look my best on stage and video. Older John was not there and instead of acting like a team that cares about the other barbers' reputations, they went and made John look like a fool for consorting with these co-called 'barbers.' Instead of getting my support and free advertising from me, they are now going to get bad publicity that they do not want but probably deserve. I'd say I'm sorry, but like the lip-service apology I received, it would not be true. They don't deserve your business here. read more

Horrible Customer Service!!!!! Had Jonathon cut my hair right before Christmas and he did a pretty good job. I was referred to him and was happy with the results. The cut was $16 so I gave him $30 with it being the holidays and all. I stopped in yesterday 1/19/19 at 3:03pm and as I walk in the door he says "aww, you just missed it by a couple minutes" as he looks over at the clock." So I respond, "you're done at 3:00?" And he says "yep!" I asked him his hours on my initial visit and he said Monday-Saturday 10-5. Really disappointing that he couldn't or wouldn't cut my hair. With that type of shitty customer service I definitely won't be back, especially since I tipped him $14 on a $16 cut. read more

I use to love these local guys, but they haven't been cutting as well. They should look for young talent to stay classic but relevant.

Unless you're about to enlist in the armed services, I wouldn't go here. The only cut they can do is a crew cut. I've tried 3 times and I won't be back. read more
