Personable, friendly gave a great bid but unfortunately was not up to the task…read more He seemed to have a real issue with measuring. The closet he built us does not have a right angle in it and one side is a full inch and a quarter longer than the other, making it very difficult to find a door. The sliding door he installed is not centered so there's this weird filler on only one side. He didn't give us the correct measurements to purchase the door in the right size to begin with, which I think caused the off-center installation. Either he decided he couldn't do the work or got bored with the job, either way, he left us, for weeks, in the middle and went to do another job (very well reviewed, with pictures on Yelp). He made excuses every day (he was sick, his dogs got loose, Home Depot didn't have what he needed...) about why he couldn't come, never mentioning he was working on a different job. We only found out when we were looking through Yelp and saw their review. He finally showed back up with workers that he hadn't had before and asked that I pay half of their day's wages ($400 which was not an agreement in the original bid). The next time I saw him, he showed up around noon, got nothing done for a whole half day then left again. That was the day we decided we had to change. We needed the work done by March and he had proved we could not rely on him. (By the way we are still struggling, as elderly people unable to do the work ourselves, to get the work completed and it's now the following January). We had paid him in full for several jobs that he either did not do at all or did not complete. We requested a refund. He gave most of it back, in small amounts, with a couple of months prodding online, but never came through with the final $100 he owed us. I was angry, but now I'm just sad because he seemed like a nice guy, but as the job wore on it was obvious it was just too big for him and he had an excuse every day why he couldn't be here on time, why he couldn't be here at all and why he always needed more money. He would go to Home Depot every day and buy supplies that we paid for and one day he decided to buy himself a new power tool, that we paid for. I guess nice people have issues too. Sadly, I would not recommend him.

Stephen Jonas came out and inspected and evaluated the problem, told me what would be necessary to correct it, and provided a very reasonable quote. His crew showed up on time when they said they would, and got started on the repair. Total professionals, hard working individuals who showed concern for the property while leveling the structure. They made sure that the windows did not break, and that the doors closed properly when they raised the side of the room that needed leveling. The materials they used were top notch. Stephen even said to call him in 6 months even if there were no problems just to make sure everything was still good. No charge for that service. The room was rock solid and level throughout when they had finished.

That day came and the crew showed up on time and ready to work the plan was to complete the job in 5 days they finished in 4. I was at no time left wondering what was going on Sam updated me several times a day what was going on. I would not hesitate to hire Jonas again Well it has been a little over a year since I had 8 beams and 36 piers installed to level my house. Called and left a message on the 3rd of July and this morning at 8:30 Steve Jonas called me and wanted to come out and adjust my house he and his crew showed up 30 minuets later and finished at 11:30 the house is perfect so again I say if you need your house levels Jonas Brothers are The Who you need to call

I contacted him by phone and text at least 3 times and each time he said he would come by.. never to appear. What upsets me the most is I paid him immediately upon completion of the job since he and his workers were trying to quit early for the weekend. I took him to a new job at my neighbors which he completed the next week while knowing he had work to do on my house, but did not have the time or courtesy to come back to my house then or ever. You must be sure that you are satisfied with all the work before paying him. You probably will not see him again if the work needing done is small.

The guy who came to my house for the estimate had to call & get verbal directions to my house, because the GPS in his phone "quit working". Not very professional, in my opinion... The jobs I needed were for painting my stair banister & some saloon doors (both inside). I also needed some steps painted on my back porch (outside, but at the time I forgot to include that part of the request). For the inside jobs, he was going to charge me $200. At least he also didn't ask for any money up front. But he kinda had this "don't call us we'll call you" attitude. Of course he never called me back. I eventually paid a more local person $300 for all 3 jobs, including repainting the entire back porch to match the newly-painted steps. (Which he said was only a $50 difference from just the steps.) This guy took my banister & saloon doors to paint at his workshop, but brought them back, reinstalled them, painted the porch steps, & repainted the rest of the porch all in one morning (barely 2-3 hours by himself). He (Stephan Almond 903-752-4259) did a much better & more professional job than Tom & Sons, both with the estimate & with the actual job. I would use his services again rather than Tom & Sons.

He is just as Larry S commented; friendly, timely very hard working and actually gets back to you and wont schedule you until he knows he can get it done! We are very happy with our new patio cover as Mike got it done in one day and cleaned it all up. Other service people can learn from Mike's way of doing things. He actually went the extra mile and sent me the included picture when he was finished and communicated very, very well before and after the project and didn't set unrealistic expectations. While the tech was out here, he was talking about needing to do all this that and the other and I asked him not to because I was not going to pay for things that did not need to be done. He ended up hucking up the guage for check freon and doing so caused a leak. I had to call them the following year to have them recharge it. Again while he was here he wants to do all this that and the other again. Here we are a year later land it low on freon again, freezing up in the heat of the summer and they can't even come out for 2 more day
