Roger created a make shift gear shift for my vehicle that has worked for years, otherwise the car would be dead. And he's such a nice guy! Actually don't bring your car to Roger. He's so busy he looks warn out, and I need him to keep me on the road!!! Reasonably priced, superb service. Do not hesitate. Tell him I said hi! Gina

I called to see if they could fit me in to replace my blinkers and a brake light and they were…read moreextremely short-tempered and rude on the phone. They said they guess they might be able to look at it and criticized me for bringing it all the way to Bay City for only blinker and brake lights because I live in Tuscola County, even though I stated that I needed to come into Bay City for an appointment and my son's class this evening. Geez I'm sorry I didn't realize you cared where you got your business from. I wouldn't recommend them at all. They might be allegedly good with cars but if I can't call or speak to them without getting talked down to like I'm a child I'll take my business elsewhere. Thanks but no thanks.

These guys rock. Bought a used Tahoe but didn't research it well enough. What the dealership…read moreclaimed was 'aftermarket exhaust' was actually just exhaust that was loud because it was so rusted. It literally fell off 15 miles from the dealership . The mechanics pointed out that the brakes were also on the brink of failure. They did a top notch job (with beautiful welds!) on the exhaust and brakes all around in what has to be record time...and we were a walk-in! We were 3 hrs from home in an unfamiliar area with a broken down vehicle and Muffler Man saved our butts! Definitely would recommend to a friend! Thanks guys!

Called yesterday about getting a fuel filter replaced. They said they don't make appointments -…read morefirst come, first served. I arrived there just as they opened - 8:03 am. I told the guy I had called and what I needed. His response was rude and told me I needed to drop off my vehicle the night before if I wanted it fixed today. Well, that may have been fine, had he told me that YESTERDAY when I called. There are far too many other mechanics in the area for these people to be so rude. Guess I'll find someone else. Thing is, had they done a good job, I have another vehicle that needs extensive work done, and I'd have gladly brought both vehicles to them. Won't now. As a female, auto shops are a scary place where we tend to be taken advantage of. I will shop around and find a place with much better customer service - where they, at least, lie to me respectfully. I give them one star because they were open on time.

I made an appointment 7 days prior for a tire changeover from winter to summer tires (I wish I could've done it sooner). A couple of days before my appointment, I called and asked if they could add-on an electrical problem with a headlight and change the headlight and they said yes. I brought my car in a 1/2 hour early. They kept it for over 6 hours before Dennis telephoned me to say they didn't get to work on it because of working on cars from yesterday... really? He apologized and said they could start on it first thing Monday morning. I picked up my car and tires and told Dennis I was very disappointed in being treated this way and I asked if all their customers were treated this way - especially since I made the appointment 7 days prior. Dennis said well, they did have "other" cars to work on... how smug of him. Were the "other" cars on the schedule prior to mine... how ridiculous. This was so disrespectful to me that now, I will not disrespect myself by returning to Hampton Auto Repair to give them my business. It was just a few months ago that I spent over $1,000 there and was a regular customer, but no more. By the way, if I performed My job in this manner there would be consequences.
