If you are considering hiring Michael Melloh Company, do not make the mistake I did. They took my…read moremoney, performed sub-par and rushed work, ruined my ceiling finish, and completely abandoned the job when called out on it. They operate with zero professional ethics, zero accountability, and zero basic human courtesy. At first Michael was very responsive. He promised to come the same day I called, then failed to show up, blaming a truck issue and scaffolding keys. The next morning, they promised to arrive at 9:00 AM. They failed to show again, making excuses about scaffolding rentals. They finally arrived at 12pm--3 hours late on a job that was already delayed by a full day. Three crew members arrived, but only one individual actually worked on the ceiling. The other two stood around doing nothing for hours. One worker even left the job site for personal reasons for several hours while the single remaining worker rushed through the repair. Drywall repair requires proper drying time between taping, mudding, sanding, texturing, and painting. Instead of returning the following day to allow the materials to dry properly, they rushed the entire process in a few hours late at night. They worked until 11:00 PM in dim room lighting. I had already expressed my concern saying that the lighting was poor and it was hard to see any defaults during this time. The next morning in daylight, the terrible quality was obvious: 1. The ceiling was not sanded. 2. The texture was completely wrong and unevenly applied. 3. Tarps were installed improperly, leaving a mess. They explicitly promised to come back and correct any issues once seen in daylight. When I contacted them with photos of the defects, they delayed and canceled on me three separate times with more excuses. Eventually, they simply stopped responding altogether. They are reading my messages and deliberately ignoring them rather than correcting their work. What makes this behavior truly disgraceful is that my husband had just suffered a catastrophic 25-foot fall through the ceiling and was in critical care at the hospital. Michael and his team were fully aware of this crisis and knew I was constantly traveling back and forth to the hospital while trying to manage this repair. Rather than showing basic consideration or executing the job properly, they took advantage of a family in a crisis, did unacceptable work, and walked away with our money. This is not just about a bad experience. This is about paying for work that was not properly completed and then being ignored when asking the company to stand behind its work. At least have the decency and respond to my text messages Michael! This company lacks professionalism, skill, and integrity. Do not trust them with your home or your money. I would think twice and make sure you are comfortable with the possibility of being left with unfinished or unacceptable work and no response afterward. Based on my experience, I would NOT recommend Michael Melloh Company. I would not hire them again.

The guy came the same day, looked at it and said my condenser coil was rusted through and would need to be replaced. That was going to be $2000 - "but I might as well replace the whole unit" - which would be $5000-$6000. Okay, fine - but I need to get a few competing bits (and have someone else give me a second opinion). So I came here - Yelp - to look for a couple companies to call. I looked for 5 star reviews and John's was one of them. He had great reviews and just from talking to him on the phone I could tell he knew what he was doing and he could drop by later the same day. He looked it over and said the only problem was the drain pan was filled with sludge blocking the drain - $350 to clean the pan and the coils. WHAT?!! Sure - let's do that! We made an appointment for the next day. He came by on time, cleaned the unit with minimal fuss or mess and that was that - $350 the unit is no longer leaking. It is no exaggeration to say John saved me between $1600 for unnecessary parts or $4600 for a new AC unit. On top of that, he also noticed my water heater under the A/C handler had been wired wrong and fixed that too. I highly recommend John Pro Services - he's knowledgable, professional, honest, cleaned up after the job and didn't try to upsell me on something I didn't need. I will definitely use him again in the future.

They completely matched the orange peel texture on the existing drywall and there's no evidence that the walls/baseboards had been repaired/replaced!  The cost seemed fair and reasonable (I didn't get multiple quotes because after meeting Vincent and Anthony, I knew they'd handle the job with care).
