Ray helped me close a great mortgage with Mortgage Services Professionals (JV between Pacific Union and Wells Fargo) very, VERY quickly (just over 3 weeks). Top scores in almost all areas. The one area for improvement is I didn't realize exactly how/when the hand-off would occur with someone internal at MSP, and the internal person wasn't working on precisely the same schedule at first. We had to push hard, and it is a good thing we had an extra day buffer built in to close and that we were able to fund and close the same day, because we needed those extra days. In retrospect, it was a crazy fast close. I didn't realize it at the time, and we were very nervous at the end (because we were going across country the next day after closing/moving) - but everyone pushed hard and got the job done. read more

My wife and I just completed our second refinance with Ray and I can easily say he is among the very finest and most effective of professionals you will ever encounter. About a year after our first re-fi with him, rates had fallen sharply and I realized that if they went down much further, it would be a good idea to refinance once again. My husband and I have done two loans with Ray. One for buying our current house 5 years ago, and another when we re-financed that same home this past year. When we bought our house, escrow closed in 12 days. That, of course, was a combination of great people behind the scenes, but my realtor at that time mentioned to me that Ray was a large reason escrow went so fast. During the last 5 years of owning the house, the loan was sold twice. When we tried to re-finance over the last year+, we tried to do it with our current lender and previous lender. Both times, we had complications. It was also very frustrating because I always felt I was chasing them down and waiting for responses that sometimes never came. Both times the re-finance fell through. And although I attribute part of that to our own financial issues, I didn't think it needed to be as frustrating of a process as it was both times.
