We moved to this practice after switching insurance companies. Initially we were just looking for a in-network provider but after switching were happily surprised to get much more out of it. As said in other posts already, they have a wonderful 1st time gift choices - zoom or electric toothbrush. My children used to constantly ask if they could be done brushing and even with a timer would grow bored. At this office they got a Sonicare brush that makes music as they brush and so that's once less daily headache for me. The front/back office staff was friendly, patient and helpful. I also love that they make it easy by offering electronic registration that you can do at home or in-office on an i-pad. The adult patient waiting area is relaxing and they also have a nice separate "kids den" with lots of books and toys to settle them while they wait. It was also nice to see that they use ultra-sonic tools for cleaning your teeth. My previous dentist did the same and I remember the days of having a sore mouth from offices that only used manual instruments for cleaning. As far as rapport with the kids, everyone was wonderful. One of my kids is anxious in nature but the staff gladly explained everything they would be doing and answered all her questions until my daughter felt ready to start. With relocation, comes many challenges & one among the many is finding dentsists & primary care physicians. When kids are involved it's a tad bit more challenging in that you need the place to be kid friendly. During our search, we came across highlands Dentistry & I thought- Wow its so close to school, this might work. So we gave it a shot & we as parents have no regrets whatsoever. The first time we went there, the kids were absolutely amazed and they had a blast. We have three kids & they look forward to their dental checks. The dentists being parents themselves to young kids have put in serious thought into making sure that the kids who come in as patients have a fun, safe & an enjoyable experience. They have an amazing office & the service is incredible. From the time you enter in till you exit out, you can experience the difference.The cleanliness of the place is another added plus. We have been going there for the past couple years & we wouldn't have them change a thing. Absolutely an amazing group of professionals who truly dedicate their time & knowledge to ensure safe practice & delivery. I am new to the area and needed to find a dentist. I received a flyer in the mail and decided to try Highlands Dentistry. Part of the reason I chose to give HD a try was the appointment hours they offered. My first visit was on a Saturday afternoon. The office is conveniently located in the Issaquah Highlands and I had no trouble finding parking. The front desk staff were very friendly and made me feel immediately welcome. The office is clean, modern and with state of the art equipment. I was called back to begin the appointment exactly at the scheduled time. Katie was very thorough in taking my history and did so in a professional manner. She is fun, articulate and did an outstanding job of cleaning of my difficult teeth with little to no fuss, muss or pain. Dr. Ray also did a thorough exam, had questions for me and made me feel very comfortable in spite of the fact that a trip to the dentist is not all that comfortable for anyone. I scheduled my 6 month follow-up cleaning and am scheduled for a 7:00 am appointment on a Thursday! A good fit for this Seattle weekday commuter! Thanks Highland Dentistry! My kids love this office. They ask me all the time when their next appointment will be! I really don't like going to the dentist, and even I can handle going here for my visits! The office is very clean and well decorated. I love that it doesn't feel like a pediatric office. But the fun, swanky design is appealing to the kids. I have always had great experiences with the staff, from front end, to techs, to dentists & hygienist. I really like the current technology they incorporate. The receptionists hand you an ipad to type in your info. I receive texts, emails and voice-mails as I choose - I use these to remember appointments. Radiographs are shown digitally, as well as the dentist & techs used a small camera to show me my son's cavity live on the computer. My kids are content watching shows of their choice while they are getting their cleaning. My kids love Dr. Shadi. She brings huge smiles to their faces. I appreciate the care she clearly has for each child. Again, I am not a fan of going to the dentist and yet this is always a very positive experience. read more

I just had an awesome dental cleaning here! A couple things that blew me away was how state-of-the-art everything was - from a tablet computer for new patient registration, to sonic-brush teeth cleaning (not like the consumer version product, but the tarter cleaning wasn't a bunch of metal scratching!), the xrays were both the normal sticks you put in your teeth but also this really neat machine you put your head into and it circles all the way around so they can look at your jaw/etc! fluoride treatment was sort of "painted on" instead of the gross tasting swish fluoride treatments. I think Dr Ray also caught a problem with my teeth grinding that other dentists hadn't caught too. Also, I'm not sure if its just because they are a fairly new business, but the actual DOCTOR cleaned my teeth and not just a hygienist. I also got a $25 starbucks gift card (which almost seems like a waste...I'm just going to get my teeth dirty/stained again now!) As well as a battery powered oral b brush, both I weren't expecting!. We were happy to see a dentistry practice had moved into the Highlands. We had just moved back to from living abroad for two years, and our kids were old enough at that point that we needed to find a dentist for the whole family. At first, it was proximity to our house that brought us to Highlands Dentistry. We found they are very professional, and do a great job. Our daughter is 6 now, and has been going there since she was 4 - they are terrific with kids too. She has none of the stereotypical fears about going to a dentist's appointment, which is fantastic as a parent - one less hassle! For my own treatment, I like that Dr. Ray takes the time to educate me about a given topic or a particular treatment. He is flexible and consultative, and has even helped explain aspects of lingering questions I've had with prior dentists I've gone to. His associates are very friendly, and any insurance-related administrative issues are kept to a minimum by his staff - something I really value because it saves me time - something I never seem to have enough of. read more

My three kids have seen Dr. Araghi twice now since we moved here back in March. At their first visit back in the spring, I was blown away by the service they provide for the kids. There's a great playroom for the kiddos to wait in (never seen anything like it in another dentist or doctor office), tokens the kids get when their done with their visit to claim prizes (heck, the front office staff even gave all 4 of my kids tokens when we showed up on the wrong day for our appointment and had to come back!) and they're entered in a drawing for gifts every time they have no cavities! But aside from the goodies and the beautiful office, Dr. Araghi and the hygenists are just great with the kids. They make the kids feel very comfortable and at ease. And Dr. Araghi takes time herself to go over in detail what she finds during the appointment. I've never had a dentist do this before with my kids. This is not a close office to my house at all (we are at the very north end of Sammamish and the office is deep in Issaquah) but it's well worth the drive :) read more

Two years ago, my daughter had couple of cavities that her previous dentist wasn't comfortable filling because she wouldn't even let them clean her teeth (tried for two years, every six months). In checking with my insurance, they gave me a referral to two pediatric dentists in the Issaquah area. We went to the first dentist but ended up having such a bad experience that we switched to Highlands Dentistry which turned out to be the best decision every. Dr. Araghi was extremely gentle with our daughter who was 4 year old at the time. It took many tries to get my daughter comfortable enough to let Dr. Araghi to fill her teeth, but Dr. Araghi was extremely patient every time and told her that she was so brave. She is now 6 and loves to go to the dentist because she thinks she is the bravest kid ever. I ended up ending my 10 year relationship with my previous dentist and move the entire family over to Highlands Dentistry. I also referred them to a co-worker and she had only positive feedback about Highlands. read more

I am very surprised with Ryan's comments about Dr Araghi .I took my 5 year old to 2 other pediatric dentist in Issaquah as she had some cavities.they both recommended putting her out to get the work done as she was very terrified and not cooperative for treatment.as I live nearby this place ,decided to get the third opinion( my husband didn't want to put her to sleep considering the safety facts) .staff are supper nice and friendly and the doctor is an angel! she told me she will try to do the work in the office with the help of some medication and laughting gas and she doen't think my daughter would need to be knocked out .we went there 3 times and she got all the work done in the office. she has the BEST bed side manner ever! supper patient with my child ,she explained everything to her step by step before each appointment.my daughter was very calm and relaxe during the work and can't wait to go back again for her cleaning! we love Highlands Dentistry! read more

Dr. Ray and his staff are professionals. My husband and I are working in health care industries and were impressed with the ethical and advice of Dr. Ray. His comments were accurate and treatment options appropriate. We never felt like he was pushing unnecessary procedures or attention beyond what is necessary. Everyone was friendly and very happy there to treat patients. Especially Julie, dental hygienist, a fabulous job on Cleaning teeth and take X-rays. The receptionist was also immediately able to tell us whether some services were covered by our insurance. I had some questions about Invisalign, and they were able to have her come see me right away for a free consultation. She (sorry, I do not remember her name) was a careful, qualified, and did not push for any unnecessary treatments either. Their Office is elegantly designed and clean. My three children and I just went to Highlands Dentistry for the first time. After their cleanings, one of my kids promptly stated, "I like that office WAY better than the others we've been to". The kids were at ease and they said everything was explained to them carefully and wasn't confusing. And they adore their new Sonic toothbrushes. My care was also exceptional. It was a very layed back atmosphere and all of my questions were answered thoroughly. They also helped with insurance questions, and I never felt pressured to have any more work done than was necessary (unlike another experience where I felt pressured to have some unnecessary work done to fill a minor gap and replace an older but stable filling). I had a little trouble understanding all the online paperwork at first, but they were quick to help with that over the phone. We'll definitely be back. read more

I started going to Highlands Dentistry after a coworker recommended them. I did a little on-line research and talked to the office receptionist and felt like it was worth a try. I moved from an office where my son, who suffers from anxiety, had very negative experiences, and have found it a blessing. Wonderful office, great services, and the Dentists are very good at what they do. I trust their opinions 100%. I really enjoy going to this office. The dental hygienist and the children dentist, the first people he encountered, are absolutely great, and just knew how to relate to him. I personally needed a crown and am very pleased with the dentist who did it, the gentlest and most careful dentist I have come across so far. I recently relocated to the area, and had high standards coming from my old dental office where I personally knew the dentist's family. I am happy to say my visit to Highlands Dentistry was one of the best dental visits I have experienced. The people at Highlands Dentistry definitely raise the bar when it comes to patient satisfaction. The online preregistration was very convenient, and also meant I had no paperwork delays on the day of my appointment, everything was on time and there wasn't the typical crowd of people waiting in the lobby. The office is beautiful and modern, the staff were all pleasant. My hygienist was gentle on my mouth and seemed very knowledgeable. Living in the highlands, it was a convenient location to attend for a dentist. Overall the staff experience was pleasant . My main concern was that I am use to having at least an hour spent on cleaning and I was out within 20 minutes - I mean if you are that thorough and quick, then awesome but that wasn't the case. I went to a different dentist in Issaquah for a Ortho Consultation - he spotted a cavity and a fracture couple days after my cleaning. So it had existed when I was getting my cleaning done - completely unacceptable. He was shocked to know that I had a cleaning done and was not aware of it. To me I will not be visiting here at all and would be advising friends against it as well. Save yourself the trouble and find real dentist that genuinely care. read more

I've been going to Highlands Dentistry for more than 4 years. I never write reviews but I am very impressed as I always am when I go to Highlands Dentistry. Staff is very friendly. Dr. Bersharati is cordial and always in a good humor which is helpful when I am in a dentists office. But the best part is my dental hygienist. She is gentle, thorough, and I feel as if she knows my teeth personally. What hygienist does that? Silvia probably has a name for every one of my teeth since they are sort of spaced in the "English Tradition". I couldn't be more pleased and I always look forward to my next appointment. I've been to two other dentists in the past 10 years before I found Highlands Dentistry. My search is over, I'm never leaving Highlands Dentistry. read more

I came to Dr Ray from another dentist who sold his business to someone I never met. Without telling me, I came for my normal cleaning and surprise! I had someone new who was beyond inadequate. So the receptionist, knowing I was very unhappy gave me Dr Ray's name and with trembling hands, I made an appointment. Well, to my surprise, he was a sheer delight and a great dentist and without saying anything, he said something like "I thought you just had your teeth cleaned"! Anyway, I had 2 or 3 cavities that he fixed that day all for way way less than the other dentist was going to charge me for fixing one tooth! He also gave me free nitrous and that is truly the way to my heart. I love this guy and I would never go anywhere else. read more

Highlands Dental was fantastic. I went myself, and I also took my two children (one for the first time) and there's not a bad word to say about them. Appointments were easy to make, you can fill out all forms ahead of time online and send directly to Highlands (super convenient!) and on the day of, they were perfectly on time. My hygienist, Kate, was awesome. The two hygienists that helped my children were fantastic with them. I met with one dentist, and my kids with the other. Both were unhurried, happy to answer questions, explained things to me but also to the kids in a way they understood and were interested in. The experience was so positive that they're asking to go back! I can't recommend Highlands enough! read more

We had to find a new dentist for our children due to insurance changes. After reviewing our options and reading reviews, we made our first appointment with Dr. Araghi. Highlands Dentistry accommodated all 3 children around the same appointment time which was so convenient. Their staff were so friendly and welcoming and overall the office had such a pleasant atmosphere. Dr Araghi was excellent and she was so good explaining everything to our children, especially our youngest. This made it a fun experience for them instead of being scary. Dr. Araghi is my son's first dentist - I was so concerned about finding a dentist who would be understanding of my son's sensory processing issues that I was more nervous than HE was, the first time we came. Dr. Araghi is seriously the kindest, most patient, sweetest dentist I have ever encountered. She has this magical singsongy voice that instantly puts my squeamish son at ease. When textures and tastes are a problem for my little guy, she gets it and patiently and non-judgingly finds ways to make him comfortable while getting the job done really well.
