I got in Sunday 11/24 and I said hello do you have time for SNS dip powder with tips they said yes wait 10 minutes.. waited about 25 minutes which was fine I was a walk in no appt was made. When I asked to pick out a color they gave me the gel colors and I had said this is gel and they said oh hunny acrylic with tip and gel is better. I said nicely oh no it's ok I like SNS I've been getting it for 7 years can I see the dip powder colors she gives me them I pick one out so fast bc now she's starting my nails I picked a nice burgundy. She starts my nails and is still going on about how acrylic tips with gel is better and I said again nicely it's ok I just want the SNS with tips and she's like mad about it or whatever. Then I asked it's 45$ right and she goes oh no it's 60$... I said I called yesterday and was told 45$ and she said oh no that's just regular dip powder no tips I said oh ok so it's 50$ ( looking up at the price list) where it says DIP POWDER TIP SET $50, she goes on to say that's not what I'm getting it's 60$ and I was like well there's not other spot that says SNS/ Dip powder on your price list so you can't just say a price and I go with it it's false advertising. She goes ok ok 50$ just this one time. I said ok thank you. we are talking a little bit and now she's dipping my nails in the color and I can see the color is staining my hand so I said Can you wipe off and she said later later. Now I'm done with my nails and there is stains all over my hands my cuticles fingers everywhere I said can I wash before the top coat she said no no after. So I wash after and it don't come off I said can you take off and she was like ok shes not soaking my hands and fingers in cuticle oil and acetone and goes OK. Go wash with soap and water so I did and it still was not coming off. She told me to go home and wash my hands and I'll be off by tonight so I did that I paid her. I tipped her and I went home and for 2 to 3 hours I scrubbed my hands with hand soap and hot, hot water it did not come off. So my sister brought me there and told them they need to fix it or we want a refund and she kept saying no no . (Mind you I did not get a hot hand towel or lotion or my cuticles cut while I sat there for two hours getting my nails done) so she starts taking off the red on my fingers but it's stuck all in my cuticles because they were cut before putting the color dip on. There's glue and powder stuck under my nails and she has a tool and she's pulling off the glue and she cuts me now I'm bleeding and she did it 4 other times. So I said ok that's it you are just cutting me at this point, shes like I can't do nothing else because you are hurt, I said that's not my problem your worker did this and now it won't come off and you made me bleed 4 times I want a refund she said I can just give 10$ I said no I want at least half and she says no no no just 10$ I take the 10$ and said you will be getting blasted all over social media so here I am DONT GO THETE AT ALL TERRIBLE PEOPLE. such a shame too because I know someone who goes there and her nails have never looked this way! Blown is one of the few places open for blowouts on a Sunday which is why I have gone to them a few…read moretimes but I've maybe only ever once been truly wowed by my hair here. Every other time it has just been okay, but last Sunday takes the cake. I had an event to go to and I had probably the worst blowout I've ever had (in general). The stylist herself was nice although a little rough with the brushes and washing. I had asked for just a basic blowout with some flips. In the salon it looked okay from the front (I wasn't shown the back). By the time I got home it was a frizzy mess, even my husband asked WTF happened. I looked in the mirror at the back and it was awful - some pieces had large curls, some were flipped, some just laid flat and there entire blowout was so frizzy. I called in a panic because my event was coming up and when I explained my situation to the (I believe) owner, she said in the most annoyed tone of voice "so you want to come back?" Um yeah? I paid ~$37 for the blowout and gave my stylist a $10 tip. She seemed so annoyed over the phone. I then realized I truly had no time to 1) drive all the way back there (kinda far from me) and find parking (difficult) 2) deal with the attitude of the manager. I then went down the block to Walgreens and bought a curling iron to try and fix it (didn't know what else to do), which was about $27. So over $60+ spent to have a bad blowout and feel rushed and stressed before my event. In this economy where people are struggling and these things are seen as a luxury, not a need, you would think management and staff would be understanding and try to be provide the best customer service and styling. I only gave it an additional star because again, my stylist was nice. I'll truly never come here again, especially with all these newer places opening up.
