I recently purchased a house in West Philly that had been rehabbed. The window in the back on the first level, in the little add-on room, started leaking water through the wall and splashing on the inside of the window. I couldn't tell if it was from a fault rook or fault siding installation, since both are fairy new. I called Artur because they work with both roofing and siding, and because I really liked the video on their website. I also noted that they were the only roofer that I noted on Angieslist that performed jobs for less than $500. Sometimes I know a job is a small one, and I'd like to pay accordingly. Artur came out the morning we had scheduled, even calling me to say that he was hitting some traffic and would be 15 minutes late. I really appreciate communication! He got up on his ladder and started to examine things. He told me what he was seeing. He deliberated re-doing some work, and then explained to me that with such a small roof, the job could still become several hundred dollars if he did that. He suggested that he simply make a strong seal between the new roof and the new siding, which wouldn't cost as much and could easily take care of the problem. Gotta love a guy who is looking out for me in the short term and developing a relationship for the long term.

Wow. There are a LOT of false claims made on QOR's comment on my last review. He makes it seem like…read morehe was only replacing a couple of panels and then "upgraded" to replacing the entire roof on that side of the barn. Our contract was for THE ENTIRE ROOF on that side of the barn! The old panels were very long and hard to get. The ones he used were shorter and were easy to acquire. The leak on the other side of the roof was supposed to be fixed. It is still leaking. Period. Our contract was also to fix that leak. That roof is made of METAL. NOT plywood. I KNOW where it's leaking and told him right from the start. It is still leaking and the contract has a one year guarantee, but instead of just coming back to fix the issue, he told me it would be better to replace the entire roof on that side. Well, of course it would! But, that's not in my budget, which is why I asked them to simply fix the one leak. The other issue I stated was the lack of clean up. The contract says that "All roofing debris will be cleaned up daily and removed from the property by contractor". The work was done on October 19th and nothing was cleaned up until October 22nd. The roofing material was picked up, but the nails were everywhere! And I am STILL picking up nails and metal shards in May!! He made it sound as if he had cleaned up and used a magnet to check for nails. That is completely false. Yes, I was happy with the one side of the roof. It looks nice and isn't leaking. The problem is that we were in a drought and I had no idea that the other roof was still leaking on the other side. I should not have paid in full until we had a good downpour.

It seems Rick has abandoned us, because I contacted him and after many attempts he texted back and said he wanted to work with us. But we haven't heard from him since. The rest of the work was fine, but it looks like we're going to have to replace this floor and it's going to be very expensive! And it's been months since I talked to Rick. I can't recommend his company because of the flooring job.

5 stars! Working with TOM and Gene was totally stress free. From signing the contract for our 2…read moreAnderson custom bay windows to the installation day was easy. Gene came to the house, he was very knowledgeable and professional. TOM and Gene know their windows. Anderson are the best quality around. The prices are very competitive. We also had POWER come out to the house and their pricing was higher for windows that were not even custom to what we wanted. We would have had to settle for less and pay more. TOM helped us design our windows and we got exactly what we wanted without having to settle. The customer service I received was outstanding. They kept me updated on the progress of my order. Installation day was a breeze! TOM the contractor/installer was a professional. They showed up on time and the first thing they did was put clean tarps down to keep my stuff clean. TOM let us know what he was doing every step of the way, (no "wondering" why or what when they did the work). No other contractor that I have had in my home has done that. I always had to ask. Tom's team was very polite and friendly. They knew what they were doing. They worked well as a team. Toms workmanship on the wood interior window frame, molding and sills was exceptional. The outside capping and window trim was perfect. They cleaned up, you would never have known they were there. Except of course my new beautiful Anderson Custom bay windows!! The windows are the best quality you can get! And it shows. The SMART SUN glass is baked into the windows so there are no spots or dirt on the outside after rain. I was a skeptic, but it is true. It has rained and I have 60 trees on my property, we get a ton of dirt and spots when it rains on our windows. But NOT these windows, they are crystal clear. I will definitely refer them to my friends and family. 5 Stars for sure!

I am so impressed with his experience in a wide variety of contract work as you can see in the pictures. I went thru 3 other contractors before him, but he was the only one to explain to me why my screen door keeps falling off the patio door. He was able to guide me into finding the best and cost effective way to go about the remodel. He saved me a lot of time researching options and the remodel was able to get done in a short amount of time. I would definitely recommend!

I had to chase him for over a week to get some of my money returned. He had the audacity to tell me he forgot how much money I gave him. And this latest job was to replace our prefab chimney with an updated pipe for our furnace. Each job has been completed beyond our expectations. James and his team aren't just good and professional, they're easy to talk to and we seriously trust their work and price. Another huge thing I noticed with James was when we first spoke with him and he was talking about other jobs in the area. We could tell he takes pride in his work and this area. It matters to him to make these houses better, and he and his team have the skills to do it. I don't know what else a person could ask for. His prices are honest. His work is honest. And the work matters to him. Every project we have - and we have a lot in line - we check with JRT Contracting first because we fully trust them with everything related to our house. If he's available, he has the job by default. If he's not and it can wait, we schedule around his schedule because we'd rather hold off for someone that good and trustworthy than take our chances on someone else.
