Eventually, I asked him if he could recommend a psychiatrist for me because I wanted to see a specialist. Doctor Stokes then proceeded to explain to me what a psychologist is vs a psychiatrist (something I already knew) and then sent me on my way with a recommendation for neither. Shortly after, I had an incident that almost hospitalized me and had to be enrolled in an Intensive Outpatient Program with Summa Mental Health. When they pulled my records, the only notation that Doctor Stokes had written about my depression was at the very bottom and said, "My have mild depression."
