I've passed this location many times when driving down SH-21 and finally stopped. They have all sorts of little signs along the road with sayings about the business. I finally decided to stop in and see the store. Obviously their specialty is pecans, and pecan based products. The lady behind the counter was very polite and helpful. I grabbed a few bags of their various pecan options and some farm style pickles and was not disappointed. I would absolutely recommend stopping in and seeing these folks. They have the prefect roadside pit stop for those long trips. Inside is very much so what you'd expect from a pecan farm in the middle of nowhere. I saw this place on the side of the road in between large scenic ranches off of Highway 21 in Crockett and was so curious I had to bring my wife to see it. This is a hidden gem of a place! There are two railroad cars on a section of track adjacent to the building. You need to ask the lady inside about that story. As you walk to the entrance you see these two huge, beautiful old pecan trees. A bench swing hangs from the closest one. They offer complimentary coffee and tea. They have a wonderful selection of delicious pecans of every type and size. Pecans in every form you can imagine! They also sell some of the best short bread cookies (some call them wafers) I have ever had. They literally melt in your mouth. They have plenty of samples so you can taste what you are buying. They also have a large selection of canned (jar) foods such as olives stuffed with bleu cheese (yummy), pickled quail eggs, chow chow, and more. The people are friendly and the inside is everything you might expect of a candy store. It's a great place to take the family, but bring some money because these decadent delights don't come cheap. read more

Too proud of their pecans. I just received two orders of their 7-Way Sampler first I have to say the product is great. You know theirs a but coming and unfortunately I felt a bit deceived or bait and switch experience. The magazine photos show and promote pecans overflowing the canister but when I opened my sampler the pecans didn't come up half way up the canister. Unfortunately I was disappointed with my experience with Rattlesnake Ranch Pecans. I think customers surely can find a better price than $27.99 elsewhere. read more

The 7 way sampler is what I ordered. All of the selections are very tasty. The problem is, I was misled by the picture of nuts nearly overflowing from the tin.(it reminds me of the KFC commercial with chicken piled high in the bucket...misleading) My intent was to sample a tin, and order several as Christmas gifts. For $27.95 I didn't feel it was worth the price for the amount actually in the tin. This is only my opinion, and to be fair the taste is 5 stars.
