the front desk people were okay.. News flash when you schudule an appointment for someone you…read moreexplained to them it's another eye examination not a procedure, News flash when a Eye doctor already did the eye examination, PULL up the chart and read it, All this extra hokey pokey stuff, took up dr blom valuable time that he could have been at the surgical center taking care of someone who was probably getting anxious and anxiously waiting to get surgery over, that why my ABBA eye doctor already had done the examination and KNEW I needed the eye surgery, SO thus had you read his examination report and charts, and sent it to the other doctor who is scheduled to do the surgery, we could have gotten on with the PROCEDURE. Plus eye doctor ABBA is quite capable of doing a eye examination THAT why he sent the measurements..but no rather than read notes and get me scheduled for the EYE surgery that MY doctor already told you I needed, you all decided that you all needed to schedule me for another eye examination an cause me further discomfort THAT stops NOW. These are my eyes and from know on you will do as instructed by my abba doctor. I give your CMA a NEGATIVE -10 MY doctor is a great doctor how dare you disrespect him or question his abilities..YOU are NOT a doctor GOT it, I told you my doctor already did the examination and this was a waste of time. And what did you tell me" do I want those measurements or the right measurements.." how dare you. If she is talking smack about my doctors abilities, makes me wonder how she talks about other Dr's abilities behind their backs, and on the 5th and 17th in case you decide to try and do a procedure that is already DONE, IT WILL NOT GET DONE AGAIN.. HINT HINT..THATS WHY THEY HAVE CHARTS AND NOTES.. HINT HINT. If you can't show respect for a doctor, then I don't want her anywhere near me..ARE WE CLEAR ON THAT YOUNG LADY . Further more I am veteran, how dare you look down your nose and make snide remarks in the lobby, I may be blind BUT I am not deaf, stop doing unnecessary examination, THAT WERE ALREADY DONE. GOT IT. Dr bloom gets a 31/2 he knew his stuff, and explained my options, and told me my right eye is a 3 and my left eye is a 3. That was very informative, but hello my ABBA eye doctor already explained that to me, Having me do another eye examination after it turn out the same as the previous one. Was waste of resources and dr. Bloom time. When people are waiting for their surgery. Come on everyone. Stop make stuff more difficult than it needs to be.. read and utilize the Dr's reports and charts. AND DO what your all instructed to do.. So far not pleased. 2 more appointments to go. Only up from here I hope. Further more I will have a person who will be going into with me on th 5th and 17th to make sure there ARE NO MORE UNNECESSARY PROCEDURES OR EXAMINATIONS GOT IT

If there was a possible NEGATIVE 5 STARS it would land here…read more I smiled and gave the only person in the office my name and said, "I have a 9:15 appointment," I said, at 9:10 am. "Actually it's 9:20. Have a seat." She continued to take her breakfast out of a plastic bag and I made a comment about the office decor. "I don't know anything about it." She didn't look up from whatever she was eating. She was not happy, that was evident. On the second of January, I was expecting a little more enthusiasm. Maybe my expectations were too high? At 9:25 she directed me to one small room where the normal eye exam machines were set up. She asked about medications almost under her breath. I spoke the names of each. "What brings you in." It was a statement, not a question. "I need new glasses?" I replied and shrugged. The doctor works remotely and was pleasant enough on the zoom-like connection. My experience in the office with the technician only got worse when I gave her my insurance cards-one of which is Medicaid. She looked at it and literally sighed. "Okay." Being someone who has a hard time standing up for myself I asked, "Did I do something wrong?" Another sigh. Nothing spoken. She seemed to barely tolerate my being there. In her space??? I was directed to wait for another staff person. They had a brief conversation. Looking at frames and attempting to ask questions I was rushed, and the first row of frames the second woman showed me, she huffed, "These are cheap." I said, "No thank you. I would like my prescription. I will go elsewhere for glasses." She quickly retrieved my paperwork and shoved it at me across a small desk. I don't appreciate being treated like a second-class citizen because of insurance coverage, at least I believe that is what the issues seemed to be.

If there was an option of providing Negative star I'd happily take that option. Firstly the service…read moreis bad, despite making an appointment I had to wait for atleast 45 minutes and secondly they are very UNETHICAL. I repeat very UNETHICAL. I had requested for a regular eye examination and paid for a regular visit, however, during my eye test the doctor (or whoever performed the test) asked me about how my vision was and during that time I happened to mention that I sometimes had blurry vision when I woke up in the morning (which wasn't anything important). Based on this information, Rocky Mountain Eye center took the privilege to recode the nature of my visit from a regular examination to a medical examination (which my insurance didn't cover) without my knowledge. They didn't provide any extra care/ service besides the freaking eye test that comes as a part of regular eye exam. However, a month later I received a hefty bill from them. Reasoning with their billing department was futile and their representatives were nothing but Rude. Now, they have asked me to pay my outstanding bill in Full to prevent proceedings from Collection agency. My kind suggestions for anyone looking forward for an eye treatment/ glasses, please stay away from this place.

Rocky Mountain Eye Center is the worst medical facility I have every been having to deal with. The…read morestaff and doctors are not patient oriented they are more money oriented. My wife had to go to this facility for Cataract surgery first thing my wife requested both eyes to be done together like I had with the VA. They told her that for safety reasons they could not do both at the same time. My question is if this procedure is so unsafe then why do they expose an unsafe operation twice raising the risk 2 fold. If both eyes are done together lowers the risk. I believe the only reason the will not do both at the same time this is all about money so they can charge for two procedures doubling the cost. This takes away another Veteran possible not being able to get need procedures because two surgery days also they also do not care that patient have to lose two days of work when one is all that is requireds.
