Also had to have a new lock installed as the one my original locksmith provided was of very poor quality as well as my previous door installer did a horrible job of installing the door so he fixed that. I would have had him install the door but didn't know at the time he could have done that. Right now he is working on my new house finishing the garage and installing electrical fixtures. Very reliable over many years and punctual.

The reason I contacted Bowersock originally was because of great reviews...He responded to me…read morequickly and I hired him..Ours was a total kitchen remodel..Even some structural changes..He brought with him a man to give an estimate for new cabinets..He turned out to be a great guy who did amazing work...As the work began and progressed, Kevin was easy to work with and he did fine work..He would even go the extra mile, here and there...He sub-contracted our porcelain tile floor, and paid them from the total of our contract with him...It looked very nice, when completed...The job finished and we had a lovely kitchen..We were very pleased..The job finished in early July, 2016.. So why the low rating?..We are still entangled with Kevin Bowersock..About 2 months after the job finished, the grout in our new floor began to crack and even break out...I informed Kevin, and then contacted the company, Local Hands, who had done the tile..They were very slow to get back to me, but finally did and in November 2016 a man from Local Hands came by and looked at the floor...He absolutely agreed that it needed to be fixed...They finally arrived to re-grout in January 2017...Within 6 weeks the tile began to crack again...I emailed Kevin to let him know of the issue and tried to contact Local Hands..They have never again responded to me... Of course, I had to go back to Kevin with this issue..The tile needed to be fixed and it was ultimately his responsibility...I sent emails back and forth with Kevin between March and August of 2017, with no resolution.. Many emails later, in December 2017, Kevin got back to me and we agreed to address the issue the first of 2018...Many emails later I heard from Kevin in March...No resolution... In April of this year, we had a flooring company come to remove and replace the tile, properly...That, nearly 2 years after the tile was originally done..The cost was $3,252.31...We paid for our tile floor twice...Kevin ignores most emails...He finally called me in July, he acknowledged that the cost was his responsibility and offered a payment monthly, until it was paid..We got the first payment almost immediately and nothing since...And again, he ignores my emails... Kevin does very good work, unless something goes wrong..Then, I wish you good luck..I suppose we will end up in court..

I hired this contractor to build a backyard deck, and while he started off seeming…read moreknowledgeable--especially with helping navigate the permit process--everything went downhill once the actual work began. The materials he used were of very poor quality, and the craftsmanship reflected that. Cuts weren't straight, boards were uneven, and the overall appearance was rough and unprofessional. Several screws were missing, leaving parts of the wood unsecured and raising safety concerns. On top of that, he clearly tried to take a lot of shortcuts during the build, which only made the deck look worse and contributed to it not being done right the first time. He was also very rarely on time, which added to the frustration and made it difficult to plan around the work being done. Communication throughout the entire process was garbage--calls and texts often went unanswered, and when I did get a response, it was usually vague or dismissive. I repeatedly brought up my concerns, but instead of taking ownership and fixing things proactively, he would offer vague reassurances and excuses. It felt like pulling teeth to get him to complete anything. What should have been a relatively straightforward project ended up taking six weeks, and even now I can't say the work is something I'm proud to have in my yard. I'm disappointed not only with the end product but with the lack of professionalism throughout the process. I would not recommend this contractor to others based on my experience. If you're investing in a project like a deck, you deserve better quality, communication, and reliability than this.

After giving a family member a shot at the work (didn't end well), we asked for referrals and found Shawn. To say her work is impeccable is a understatement. Sharp lines, smooth surfaces, impeccable finishes...and at the end of every day, she and her crew cleaned up everything and put our house in order so we could live in it. We had every room painted (4,400 square feet) as well as part of the basement floor. This required stripping wallpaper, repairing wall, fixing old termite damage, and remediating old mold found under the wallpaper. She and her team repaired the tilework in all three bathrooms and installed lighting. And she made a reality of the stainless steel subway tile backsplash I'd envisioned in out large kitchen. When we, later, learned that the house was going to be in an architectural home tour, she had her team come in a do a deep cleaning in preparation for 900 people to come through. The place was spotless. I so appreciated her work, I had her and her team paint several rooms at my father's home. He loved her and her work.

I contacted Val who immediately got back to me, did research on the property from the listing photos, and diagnosed the problem instantly. The next day, I got an estimate much less than another company's, and Val was continuously in contact with me at all times. We scheduled to do the gutter replacement about a week after the first conversation, and his crew arrived on time and got the work done without fuss. But here's the best part: not only did he look at the roof for me because I told him I was concerned about my inspection report's inadequacy, he surveyed almost everything on the exterior of my house. He identified roof issues, vent issues, pointed out rot, noted where things were installed cheaply, etc. He didn't pressure us into any work, he simply laid out the things my inspector should have caught, sent me pictures, and gave me advice for how and when to address some of the issues. He was honest in explaining much of this is on our dime. He was also frank in saying the inspector should give us the extent of the money laid out in the contract because he did such a poor job. He also was clear in that so long as I don't have stains on my ceiling, it wasn't an emergency, so I didn't feel pressured, I felt educated. I'm going to fix this house. I was stuck in a horrible position with the property management company I was working with and being out of state only made it worse. I searched for a contractor to help me get the properties fixed and rented out so I could finally make some income. I found a Val here on yelp and we began to communicate. Since the very beginning Val has been responsive, kind, understanding, knowledgeable, professional and attentive. He provided me with estimates for work that need to be done and we went forward. The properties were rehabbed thanks to Val and not only did it and there. Val went out of his way to meet with potential tenants to show them the properties during the day while he was working on other projects for other customers. He must've showed those properties to a couple dozen people and eventually he helped me decided on tenants. Val even helped me find a good lease agreement. Does it end there? Nope. Val continue to help me and get the lease agreement signed by the tenets. He mailed me lease agreements, first months rent and deposits through money orders in the mail. That's it's right? Again no. Doesn't end there. Soon after the property is rented out small issues came up with tenets mostly regarding the plumbing. Val was quick to show up to the properties and take care of the issues. Of course none of this was free, but was it worth what I paid. Absolutely. Now is this the end? No. After this experience with Val I have decided on one thing. I will continue to invest in properties in Indianapolis and I will only work with Val. He is a one stop shop and I know that working with him I will be OK. Val thank you my friend for all the work you have done for me. You are a great contractor but I consider you an even better friend now.
