I booked a reservation here as this was a popular place for paella, and they book real fast. If…read moreyou come here without a reservation, you probably won't get served. Even at 1:30 PM when they open, all tables were reserved. I ordered the Valencian paella, which had chicken, rabbit, and vegetables, and it only cost 10 euro per person. They accommodate to solo guests, so if you're dining alone, don't fret. They will serve you a single person's portion and honor the price. The server brought out bread service, which included a tomato jam and olives. They also brought out a sample-sized complimentary taster of some pureed dish of some sort. It only took about 15 minutes or so before my paella arrived, and it was heaven! It's as good as they say, and compared to other restaurants, this was the best value for paella I had ever seen. The quality was high, and there was plenty of meat in the rice to make this all worth it. The bill added a 1.50 euro surcharge or tax. Highly recommended if you want the best paella in town!

Salud.

We searched for a restaurant on TripAdvisor and found that this restaurant is rated No. 4, so we…read moredecided to try it. The restaurant is slightly off the beaten path, but well worth the trip. We arrived at a nicely decorated restaurant to be greeted by one of the owners. He seated us and explained the menu for the day. The restaurant provides a several course preselected meal, although I'm sure they'll work with you if you want something different than what is offered. We had three appetizers - a ham salad, calamari and fish carpaccio, two entrees - langostinos and fish fillets, and dessert - Turron ice cream and brownie with a bottle of wine, coffee and after dinner drinks. The meals are all inclusive for $35 Euro per person - quite a deal, as far as we are concerned. We loved the different sauces used to prepare the different plates and used the bread to continue enjoying them after the food was gone. I think our favorite meal item was the langostinos which were cooked in a blood orange and cognac sauce. The Turron ice cream also was fantastic - we would have happily had several more plates full. The chef came out to describe some of the plates and the service was not only extremely friendly but also impeccable throughout the meal. This is definitely a neighborhood gem worth trying. The only thing we would recommend changing is providing some sort of side dishes with the meal (ie, vegetables and rice or potatoes), but maybe that's the American sides of us talking. If you are in Valencia looking for Spanish food that is slightly modernized, this place definitely is worth a try.
