I cannot get over how incredible this experience was. My husband gifted me the Owl Experience and it was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Jennifer is so kind, knowledgeable and wonderful. You can tell how much she cares and loves for the birds and how much that respect/trust is reciprocal. I absolutely love all the positive reinforcement training she does with the birds to raise such confident and sweet birds. Although we were there for only two hours, we had a falcon and owl fly onto our gloved arms multiple times!! Jennifer shared so much information about how the birds are raised, their habitat, their diet, etc and patiently answered our numerous questions. I recommend this experience 100/100. read more

Jennifer is absolutely wonderful and the private falcon plus owl experience is one that my wife and I will never forget. Jennifer really makes this whole experience. She truly enjoys what she does and it shows. Your time with her is un-rushed; she is patient and kind, and knowledgeable. Jennifer not only enjoys sharing her experiences with you, but also enjoys sharing in your experiences as well. It felt like a leisurely afternoon with a friend. And let's not forget about the birds! Lilley, the queen of the property, Mathyis, the flirt, Serengeti, the rambunctious teenager, and the best for last, Aurora, the largest owl I have ever seen. They are all characters in their own right. I booked this experience for my wife and I and it was better than I could've expected. For the first 1.5 hours we learned about raptors, she showed us the grounds, introduced us to some of the birds and gave background on them as well as their disposition. Since it was just the two of us we had a formally informal conversation where she talked about the history of the birds while answering our questions. She fed the owl and Sirker falcon with us but of course the real highlight was the experience of flying w/ Lily, the Lanner falcon. My wife and I took turns w/ her and loved every minute of it--my wife was beaming the whole time. Jennifer was amazing and her passion for what she does was evident. I'd love to come back and do it again even bringing my older son. Getting a reservation is tough as slots open up months in advance and book quickly. Definitely recommend. read more

Booked an Owl Experience as an anniversary/birthday gift for my partner. Have been itching to take him to Raptor Hill for a couple of years now, extremely grateful that dates finally worked out (even with COVID)! Jennifer was incredibly informative and engaging and it was clear the experience was tailored to us. We spent the evening bombarding her with questions and she easily and cordially answered all of them and we were left no only awed by her knowledge and personal experiences but also by the owls themselves, Aurora and Obie (their personalities are so unique!!!) Raptor Hill was, simply put, completely worth the 4 hour round trip drive (which was partly in moderately cleared snowy roads). While I've got little to compare the experience to I can easily say that Jennifer is a joy to learn from and her birds are absolutely stellar. Honestly? Her Eurasian Eagle-Owl is my new favorite person in the entire world and my best friend for life and I want nothing more than to hang out with her all the time because she's an absolutely perfect sky-cat. Yes, Aurora the owl is a person. And yes, she's my favorite. While we regrettably were unable to fly the falcons (weather was unusual, unpredictable, and both beautiful and unkind) my friend and I were thrilled with our experience. We loved learning about birds, we enjoyed talking with Jennifer, and we really loved handling the falcons even inside. Wet wings from snow can lead to frostbite and neither of us were remotely upset at the last minute change to not fly the birds. Safety first! Jennifer was on top of communication when it looked like the weather might shift. She was ready to reschedule us if needed but the forecast said things would be clear for our lesson. Weather reports were quite wrong the day we visited. They literally said there was no snow when it was snowing for an hour already. I think Jennifer was relieved that we were an understanding pair. She was clearly upset that we weren't able to get the full experience but we love falcons and would never demand or want anyone to put them in harm's way. We were actually quite happy to see Jennifer's priority was the safety of her birds. I bet the full experience is truly something spectacular. She let us know that should we return, we can remind her that our visit was unable to include flying the falcons and she'd make an accommodation for us. Would I return to Raptor Hill? Yes. Definitely. Absolutely. read more

An absolutely magical experience with Jennifer at Raptor Hill Falconry! We had the private Owl Experience and got to meet two stunning and charming owls. Jennifer took so much time to teach us all about the birds, to let us hold and touch the birds safely, and to show us all the amazing behaviors they have. The classroom is clean, bright, awesomely decorated and a great place to learn. The outdoor space is perfect for the birds and allows a great opportunity to see the owls in their natural spaces.
