Have been coming to this antique store for at least 10 years - it's gone through different ownership but overall has been a consistent store. Prices are reasonable, can always negotiate. Parking can be tricky so try to park on the side of the building to avoid the fast traffic heading onto the freeway. read more

Cute little antique store. Came here this morning on my off day to do some browsing. They have a wide variety of things. Ended up finding a Christmas gift for my landlord. Decent pricing. There's a cute in door cat that you might see. A few of the shops have trendy items like collectible and Hello Kitty/Sanrio items. Parking can be tight and a pain to pull out, but a nice little place to shop at. read more

Place is big with plenty to look at which is so fun but unfortunately past few times we've been here we've gotten there right at 10am (the time posted they are open) and they don't open. We've had to wait anywhere from 15-30 minutes. The prices have gone up and are outrageous now. Same stuff as the other antique stores on 6th street and here it's 3x the price elsewhere. It was one of our favorite places to go and look but unfortunately it has changed for the worst. If you feel like still wasting your time coming here be sure to go an hour after their posted time or you'll just be sitting in their parking lot and bring a big jacket because in the winter it's freezing inside. read more

This is my favorite antique store in Beaumont. It's way bigger than it looks from the outside and they have a bigger inventory than other antique shops in town. This comes along with the title of having the creepiest inventory as well. There are so many items that give you an uneasy feeling. The owner is very rude and suggests everyone is stealing or breaking something. She loathes children in her store and will definitely follow you around if you have small children. it sucks i use to come here very often and loved to look at her great antiques but one day she treated me and my little son like turds. i won't get it into it but she definitely made me feel like a small child myself. Her employees are awesome though all of them are very kind and would recognize me and my son and ask how he's doing every time i stopped by! definitely recommend visting when it's just her employees lol. She has really cool antiques though and great selection, I would just ease up on the customers and i think it's a great place. just don't look like you're gonna steal or have rowdy children lol. Love it here - such a great place to take a little time and walk around. With discounts at almost every booth, I've left with some really cool home decor, a few wall hangings, plates and old mugs and bowls to plant succulents in as gifts. Found some dollhouse furniture for my daughter for very good prices ($3-$5) and my son is always eyeing the collection of pocket knives, swords and other unique weaponry. Prices are good, fun place to see what's new, and the vendor booths do a really good job of keeping updated and decorated for the seasons. Love it here. read more

This was horrible. Debra the owner is such a rude and disrespectful person. She was yelling at a woman who had a booth in her store in front of customers. Debra claimed that "This is a business", well in my eyes it's not a good business if you are running your mouth and being rude to people working with you. We visited this place once before and enjoyed it. Today we went back for a second visit. There were no other customers in the place, just the dealers that have merchandise there. I collect vintage Barbie dolls. I found a rare one that I really wanted for $185. When my husband asked the woman working there today if she could open the locked showcase where the doll was, she informed him that he would have to wait because someone else was "first". The thing is, the someone else was NOT a customer. It was one of the sellers. We stood there waiting for about 15 minutes while the woman was in the back with the dealer. In that time period I got really angry and though I still really wanted the doll I no longer wanted Red Barn to get any of our hard earned money. I'd rather try to find it online. You could tell from how dirty the place is that they don't care about it. Most of the spaces aren't shoppable because there's so much merchandise on the floor, etc. Will never go back. read more

This place is very large and cluttered. It has a wide selection of anything from ancient tribal pottery to new colgate toothbrushes. The barn has its own parking, when you take the key out of the ignition and open the door of your car your cowboy boots hit the dirt and subtle amount of dust rises. The sound of the crunch under an old pair of boots sends chills down your spine. You pass by a couple little church buildings or something, where you can almost hear the faint off tone repertoire of your great-great auntie bertha saying peace-be-with-you to her contemporaries. You trudge through the dirt and a tumble weed might even roll over your toes. You turn the big red corner of the barn and see some paint chipping off the window sills. You are greeted by two large glass doors painted with old chalk advertising the newest fad in town. The doors do NOT match the look of the barn at ALL. They aren't very GOOD. A shrill blonde lady will welcome you as you glance left and right, looking for an escape already...On the left you see demonic possessed slot machines from evil gamblers long-dead. They remind you of your uncle bert. long deceased. on the right you see a long line of shelves stacked to the top with dusty oriental knick knacks. knick-knack paddy wack. give a dog a bone... You peruse down the aisles hoping for some sort of comfort only to notice a horrific doll staring into your soul. You go to check the price tag in hopes of buying it for your arch-nemesis bertie only to find that its 65 hundred dollar$ and an amount of cents. You turn around and see the blonde lady behind you "looking" at an old magazine featuring billy joel. You continue to walk down towards the far end of the left side and each step you take a floorboard creeks, but it isn't your own foot causing the creaking.... The blonde lady stalks you down the aisles continuously "reading" the billy joel magazine. She tosses you a strange glance. And asks you what you're doing "this far into the store". Before a word escapes your mouth she is gone. You make it to the back of the store and your heart begins to palpitate. You look out a dusty cracked window and notice strange "yard decorations." A statue of Buddha, a fountain of Gandhi, and a necromancer named Socrates. You decide against going out the back door, although you long for the crunch under your boots and the wind in your mane, alas the ground is paved and the wind is nigh. You continue down a little further and your hand brushes something that feels like baby horse hair. You grab it without thinking and stare into a shrunken head's dead cold eyes. You gasp in alarm and drop the head and take at least 14 steps backwards. You fall into a trance and wander aimlessly and trip over a box of "ultimate dick and jane" books. They remind you of your uncle bert. You read them for hours, suddenly it's closing time and the blonde lady returns to your side. She asks what you're still doing inside her shop. You offer to leave. (Turn to page 21 to see what happens). Page 23: You look up and see mirrors on the ceiling, mirrors on the floor. There's no escape. You can never leave. Socrates the necromancer is reflected under you. You gaze around wildly looking for a sign of sanity. You only wish the blonde lady would return, only she can relieve you from the eternal pain. You slowly lose consciousness clinging onto any memories of auntie bertha. You wake up in the old church and realize you are in a coffin at your own wake. Your auntie bertha gives your eulogy and sings amazing grace in that horrendous off-key high pitched tone that you hated as a child. You died in a car crash in Cleveland, OH. A hand reaches down and you take it, Socrates the necromancer guides you back to the barn. You turn the big red corner of the barn and see some paint chipping off the window sills. You are greeted by two large glass doors painted with old chalk advertising the newest fad in town. The doors do NOT match the look of the barn at ALL. They aren't very GOOD. A sweet brunette woman welcomes you and she says "I like your blonde hair". You respond in a shrill voice "what are you still doing in my shop". You realize you are the blonde lady. The "sweet" brunette woman gives you a sly smile that quickly turns evil as she walks out the back door with Socrates. read more

Am sooo glad this is open again! Went in over Memorial Day weekend, and found a Smokey the Bear teddy bear from the early sixties. My friend also found some Fenton glass. There are many different things to go through - LPs, western themed booths, Pyrex, Indian jewelry, several Tiffany-styled lamp shades, toys, many, many beautiful glass vases, and several ice boxes. Prices are very good, and a lot of items are on sale! Plus they also have fresh cherries and loquats for sale as well. I bought some cherries, and need to go back for more, they were so good! They also have air conditioners placed throughout the building to help keep you cool during the hot days. I recommend this for anyone wanting to get out of their house and do some good, old fashioned shopping for treasures. read more

I was in the area for business last weekend, and my friend and I decided to check-out the local antique stores. Boy were we surprised! They were fantastic, and Rapstine's Redbarn Antiques was our favorite. It had a great selection, fair prices, and the individual managing it was outstanding! If you are in the area and interested in a large selection of antiques at great prices be sure to stop by Rapstine's. And for what its worth, we also went to the shops in Yucaipa and were not impressed. Smaller selection than in Beaumont, and at much HIGHER prices. My advice is to skip them. Went to the shop and found the staff to be very nice. The boss I found to be totally incompetent. I made a lay away purchase and told them I would be back the following week. When I went to pick up the slot machine I asked if the quarters were out. (Slot machine) It turned out the quarters were still in the machine. Seven call later i called back (driving home and stopped by the grocery store) She demanded I come bake so she could get her quarters. Threatened o fire her employee if I didn't come back. She also told me I as dishonest. I will never shop there again. read more

Went here with preteen daughters. They are extremely respectful and well-behaved. Blond female manager completely rude and unwelcoming to them. She followed them around and harassed them to "stay with your parents." We were 5 feet apart. We ended up leaving because she was so rude. The individual booth owners we ran into while we were there were extremely nice. They must lose a ton of customers because of the rude manager. We will never go back. read more

My family rented tables and chairs from the Red Barns many times in the past without incident. Our most recent experience, however, was terrible. The morning of our event was stressful and the agreed time for drop off came and went. When I called the store for help, the person who picked up the phone informed me that it was my fault that the store representative did not write down the drop off time in their book, and thus, they could not deliver the tables and chairs for an hour. The clerk then hung up on me. I called again, and she quickly brushed me off. I was surprised when the owner called me a few moments later to inform me that she was on her way, and would arrive shortly. Thankfully, she arrived with time to spare. She agreed that her representative should not have said what she did. I am thankful that the owner adjusted her day to make it right. However, it's clear to me that this business is in need of improving its booking process and training their team to better meet the needs of their customers. Buyer beware: they take an imprint of your credit card to serve as security deposit. They said that they would return it to me when they had picked up their equipment: but they have not. I've been watching my credit card statement closely to ensure no erroneous charges have been made, or worse yet, that the imprint got into the wrong hands. Although the nearest party rental location is a few cities over, our family will no longer be using the Red Barn's services. read more

I have purchased things every year for the past 9 years at this antique store. Today I went to pick up a ham and shop for gifts. I tried to pay and was told all my credit cards were declined. ?? I told them I have no balances this is not possible. The clerk said cash only. So on December 23rd at lunch time I had to go to the bank on Highland Springs for cash and also to inquire about the bank card decline. My husband called the other credit card companies and all three told us there was no credit problems it was an error by the merchant. So I went back to pick up my ham with cash. The owner was having a verbal war with another client who was being charged substantially more than she was quoted for her ham and turkey . 15 minutes later I tried to check out. I told owner there was nothing wrong with my credit cards and this adventure has taken me over 1.5 hours just to pick up a ham. She asked me what I wanted. I said I wanted nothing from her just that her clerk be trained properly so this does not happen to someone else. She threw money at me and told me get to out of her store and told me never to come back. I did not do anything wrong. But no problem. Never going back. Watch your $'s. Took the kids here cause they have tons of cheap 2nd hand knick knacks & toys that the kids love and everything was 1/2 off!! I don't know why they sell so many cheap toys if they don't allow kids to come in there and pick out one they want! 3yr old wanted a Princess backpack for $3. 2yr old picked a hello kitty beanie baby for $2. & that's as far as we got before the Lady in Charge kicked us out... within minutes. Her reasoning behind her hate and disgust for my family & I? She said, "I have enough on my plate right now and I'm not going to babysit. Get out! LEAVE!" Keep reading, she gets nuttier... I've never seen anything like it. My brother, sister in law & I walked in with a 2yr old(in my arms) and a 3 yr old(sis in law carrying her), two 10yr olds, two 8yr olds and a 16yr old. Lady in Charges comments were hatefully spewed at the 8, 10 & 16yr olds bc they had turned the corner right ahead of us and she was waiting right there, blocked them and started yelling in their faces. "No!! Go back, back, back!" My brother asked her "hey, what's the problem? Did they break something?" & she counted the children "1,2,3,4! I don't have to watch them! I don't!" He said, "That's right, did they break something?" She said "No, but I don't have to have them in here. So, go!" No one was yelling at her and yet she kept YELLING at the children & shooing them back towards the exit. "Get out, out, out!" Red in the face, breathing hard & livid as hell, way beyond what the situation called for & she just wouldn't quit. This is when I decided she was mad at life long before we arrived. The children were excited to go in cause they get to pick one thing. As always, before entering a place of business, we talked to them, no running, no touching, no whining! None of the children had done that! Unless it was in the few seconds of them turning the corner ahead of us where she ambushed them and started screaming in their faces, scaring the s*** out of them & she would not stop! Even as my brother told her "Hey, calm down!" This is not how we talk to each other in real life so I'm pretty sure the kids have never been addressed like that in their life, 2 were crying, my 16 yr old straight A student was embarrassed af, knowing he didn't do anything wrong. This lady was needing to confront issues within herself that no one else could fix. There were other customers in there, one was @ the exit in a wheelchair, my son was holding the door open for her & that had stopped the all children from exiting. Lady in Charge was following directly behind our group, still yelling on & on to my brother about how she is "busy" and "stressed" and "doesn't have time to deal w/this many kids coming in here at one time & she doesn't have to" and he just kept telling her "We are leaving ma'am, you said they didn't break anything, you can stop screaming at me! Just stop!" When we had to stop before the Exit, waiting for the other customer to leave(prob frightened but smiling and enjoying seeing all the kids), Lady in Charge didn't see her & just thought we weren't leaving fast enough. This enraged her even more & she was directly behind my brother almost against his back yelling, "Don't stop! GO! Leave, leave, LEAVE!!" That's when I turned around and told her "What is WRONG with you? You are a miserable human being with a miserable life! Who acts like this in front of CHILDREN?!" I have never seen anyone react like that when we walk into a business with all the kids. Yes, it is overwhelming upon 1st sight but when people interact with them, they always love them. They are well mannered and smart & calm. I am disgusted by this Lady's reaction to my family. This is NOT a place to bring children whatsoever! Even though it's a cute place on the outside, kids would enjoy it. Cheap stuff on the inside, kids enjoy it. I am curious to know if anyone has gone in with like, 1 or 2 children and she has been hateful to them, too.
