Today im 4 months in on a 6 month course. We have done so much safety and precautions in order to make sure all students are safe. We have wired so many labs. I feel we have done so many labs that i feel comfortable take charge and leading my team in some labs. This school does more than just teach you about electrical but to have to get a job. How to create a resume. And how to be more confident. I was in my shell when i first joined but today I feel comfortable speaking in front of the class to show how if wire something in. Im looking forward to the last two months and to the field im going into. If your looking for a school to become an electrician i would 1000% recommend going in for an interview. So many helpful people that want you to succeed here. Randy my teacher has done everything to keep us entertained and excited for all of our book work. This truly will change your life. I cant wait to give yall an update after im done. Big thanks to Carl for giving me a couple motivational talks to get me more excited about this upcoming last two months

I just graduated from the paralegal studies program. I had a great experience aside from the…read moreadmissions office telling me the program would only be 24 months. The length was over 2 1/2 years. I started January 2020 and finished August 2022. I would have appreciated the transparency upfront during the admissions process. Some students were there longer than me. I'd recommend clarifying this during the admissions process if you plan on attending this school. The instructors were overall great. Some would go out of their way to schedule one on one tutoring sessions if a student needed it. I really felt that I had support if I needed it. The legal instructors were very knowledgeable in the field and taught skills and tasks that are used in the legal field. I had the pleasure of attending while Linda Gardenhire was Department Chair and then Eric Fernandez when she retired. They were both amazing and supportive throughout my whole program. They were very personable and I felt like they genuinely really cared about the success of their students. I happened to have Eric as an instructor for Contract Law and Advanced Legal Research and Writing. These classes were definitely a challenge for me, I made sure to meet with Eric early on and communicate this to him. He did a great job clarifying and helping me through the challenging assignments. He really pushed me out of my comfort zone and challenged me to be better. The class material mirrors what paralegals do in the field and will help prepare anyone looking to succeed in the legal field.

I am currently a student here at SUI in the DMS program, graduating in March…read more It has truly been a blessing to learn about my dream career here at SUI. The program is accredited, which is great. Dr. Suhad is an amazing professor. She is down to earth and just brilliant. I couldn't imagine learning about sonography from anyone else. Melissa, my clinical coordinator, is very encouraging and I appreciate all of her help during my clinicals. I want to be 100% transparent about my time here at SUI so I will also speak about some things that can be improved on. I believe that better communication and full transparency will take this program to the next level. I think that the amazing staff, like Dr. Suhad and Melissa, are taking on a lot of responsibility and if their burden was shared with possibly more staff, the program would be so much more amazing. There are a few other kinks not worth mentioning but I know that SUI is already done some steps to make the next cohort's experience better than what mine was so I know they are very well capable of greatness. Nonetheless, my time here at SUI was/is truly remarkable. I would recommend it if you are seriously as passionate about sonography as I am.

As a working single mother, I invested $5,000 in this program hoping to build a better future for…read moremy family. Unfortunately, my experience left me feeling unsupported and unfairly treated. I struggled with Physics and repeatedly sought help from my instructor, Tamara. After expressing that I felt behind, I was told that other students needed assistance and that she would try to get to me when she could. Rather than receiving the guidance I needed, I often felt dismissed. Toward the end of the program, I became seriously ill. During finals week, when attendance was not mandatory and students had been allowed to leave early, I stayed behind specifically to ask questions because I was committed to learning. On one occasion, I attended a meeting while traveling to a doctor's appointment and later received medical documentation supporting my condition. Despite this, I was written up for attending the meeting from my car and later for not wearing scrubs during an after-class meeting, even though I could not find a policy in the student handbook requiring uniforms for meetings outside scheduled class time. I was also required to write a one-page letter regarding the incident. What was particularly concerning was the apparent inconsistency in how disciplinary actions were applied. I observed other students arriving late to class without receiving the same level of disciplinary action, including formal write-ups or being required to write a one-page letter. This left me feeling that I was being held to a different standard. I also felt that my work was not evaluated fairly. Despite following assignment instructions, using the required ultrasound images, and incorporating the requested examples, I received only the minimum passing grade. Throughout the program, students are frequently reminded that instructors and program staff have significant influence over clinical placements and future opportunities within the profession. Because of this, I felt uncomfortable raising concerns or filing complaints while enrolled, out of fear that doing so could negatively impact my clinical experience or future success in the program. As a result, I remained silent about many of the issues I experienced. Throughout the program, I worked hard to balance full-time employment, motherhood, health challenges, and my education. Instead of receiving support, I felt that personal opinions may have influenced how I was treated. I later failed my final to which I blame not getting the support that I needed with half a point and I knew she had personal issues with me because she did not contact me with any support when I know she reached out to another student that had dropped out and gave her support so she had personal issues with me when little does she know that I was a struggling mother of two working full-time and trying to get through this program not fully understanding it and wanting help and never getting it . My experience left me disappointed and feeling that student success depended more on instructor preference than on effort and dedication. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this program. Definitely be careful. I have never been treated so horribly by a teacher in my life and I have been to a community college as well as a 4 year college, and when voicing my concerns the only reply I received was thank you for your concerns. Beware. So I hope Tamara feels proud of herself for ruining someone's future for personal unknown reasons. mind you I had done every assignment I could, every extra credit that was assigned, attended every study group I could to try and pass this class. beware if they decide they do not like you. They will make sure that they take your money and that you do not pass and proceed.

After a break for a semester, I decided to look into programs I might have interest in and I discovered NCE Optician Technician! It's been going on for sometime but it was new to me! I decide to show up to the meeting and Keenan showed enthusiasm and he knew his position really well. I won't lie he got me into this program with a little nudge and I'm glad I got in! My first day in the Optician class seemed very intimidating but also refreshing. Everyone seemed eager to learn. Mr. C was an amazing teacher, gets straight to the point, teaches you what you need to know and if you have any questions that he might not know, he will find the answer pretty quickly. Mr. C has a very fun personality and honestly, I will miss this program. The counseling was great, the financial staffs gets straight to the point on your financials, and they help you with your externship! I'm starting my externship on Tuesday and I'm super excited! I hope whoever is reading this, whoever has bad eyesight and want to learn more about eyes, consider Optician Technician! It's a fun learning experience and I believe if a drop out can do it, you can!

The inside has such a cool relaxed music studio vibe, I think I spent most of the time walking around and checking everything out from the different rooms to all of the awesome artwork on the walls. I even love their giant wall where all the kids sign and doodle on it! When we arrived, one of the owners welcomed us and gave us a tour. I love that they have glass doors so you can see other students practicing everything from drums, to bass, to singing! As much as you'd think all of the noise could be a bit much, I actually found it relaxing and liked hearing all the different instruments. My daughter's singing coach (Cale) was very patient and kind and she left even more excited to join than when we arrived. When we left, the receptionist gave us a flyer with the pricing and class options for my daughter's age - I thought it was a bit steep at first, but it includes 8 classes a month - 2 a week - 1 one on one session for 30 minutes and 1 group lesson for an hour and a half. Everyone there was so nice and you can tell the coaches/teachers love their job and what they can offer to these kids! The coaches offer everything from bass, guitar, drum, singing, and even keyboard/piano. They also offer summer camps, workshops and they even have the kids put on concerts! We will definitely be joining soon and I can't wait to see where School of Rock takes my daughter's confidence! Check them out!
