Called all the big companies and nobody was working that night. Finally, a city worker said he had a friend at Tartan who might be able to help. Made the call, and within minutes a friendly tow truck driver arrived on scene. Towed the car to my garage for a fair price. Good job Tartan! You're the fist place I'll call if I need a tow again.

Towed vehicle WITH GIRLFRIENDS SERVICE DOG IN THE BACK. Ticket had a false time on it, got hung up…read moreon 3 times while calling to ask if my car was there and explain situation with dog. Manager called me a "fucker" among other names while laughing and saying he does not care about my dog, then. threaten violence on me before hanging up the third time. Showed up and asked about protocol for checking for animals/kids in back, guy immediately flipped blame to "police for writing the ticket" (they didn't write the ticket, nor did the cops tow my vehicle) when I asked again if they look for babies in cars before towing he laughed and said "it happened before". Whole interaction inside towing is on video. Charged $120 plus $100 fraudulent ticket for being parked 2 minutes before we were allowed to on that street and with a City of Winnipeg in front of us obstructing the sign that said we couldn't park. Gotta love that they also DEFRAUDED the City (aka we the people) of $1M for false "winter courtesy tows" and only had to pay back half plus is still contracted for the city. These guys are dirty, nasty, low life crooks who overcharge, steal and have 0 regard for living beings all in the name of "upholding law and order". Screw these guys and anybody who works for such an evil company.

I contacted Birchwood Roadside Assistance when needing my vehicle towed to Birchwood Kia West for…read moreservicing, and they notified me that Bison Towing would be the provider for this service. It took all afternoon, from my initial SMS from Birchwood Roadside Assistance saying that the truck would be there at 1:05 pm, until my phone call to Birchwood Kia West at 6:15 pm to ask if my vehicle had actually been dropped off yet. They also sent another text saying that I would be notified once the driver was assigned, or if the pick up time changed. This didn't happen. A third text message was received at 12:25 or so saying that the driver was on the way. I waited in my vehicle until 1:30 pm and then called Bison Towing. Dispatcher at Bison gave incorrect info re pick up time, interrupted me while I was speaking, and made excuses for driver. Driver arrived at 3:25 pm and finally drove away with my vehicle at 3:50 pm after confirming with me that the vehicle was to be brought to Birchwood Kia West (he showed me on his phone, and I also repeated to him that it was the correct drop off location). I noticed another SMS from Birchwood Roadside Assistance at 3:28 pm saying that my vehicle was loaded up and on it's way to the drop off location. Another lie, at 3:28 the driver had only just arrived, and I took a picture at 3:50 pm as the tow truck was pulling away from my location. I notified Birchwood Kia for the second time re the delay caused by Bison Towing, and that I had now missed my scheduled service appointment. At 5:25 I received a phone call from the tow truck driver ASKING ME WHERE TO BRING MY VEHICLE! I told him yet again, and he made some excuse about driving to another part of the city and that the dealership there told him they didn't know anything or have an appointment booked for my vehicle. I called the dispatcher again and asked for the name and phone number for the manager, which she either would not or could not give me. She said the driver was given the wrong address. I asked again for the manager's info and she said I should call back tomorrow and she would transfer the call to him then. I insisted that I wanted the contact info so she said she would "check and see if he is still in the office", then came back on the phone and said the manager would call me in a few minutes. He did, and after interrupting me and making another excuse for the driver (he said the tow truck had broken down) I became very angry and told him I just wanted to know where my vehicle was, and when it would be brought to the dealership, if at all! At this point it was 5:45, just 20 mins after the call from the driver asking where he was supposed to bring my vehicle, AND the service department at Birchwood Kia West had already closed at 5:00 pm. He asked "may I talk now?" and told me that my vehicle was at Birchwood Kia West. I terminated the call at this point, and did call the dealership a while later to confirm that my vehicle actually did make it there. This is the ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever received in my entire life! Avoid Bison Towing at all costs! An interesting side note.... when you click on the FB link on Bison's website, it takes you to a FB page called Bison Towing LLC in Midland, Texas. As well, Birchwood Roadside Assistance is administered through Nation Motor Club Inc in Boca Raton, Florida. SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESS/ BUY CANADIAN! I am so sorry that I didn't call CAA instead.
