Kevin and Dan are our heroes! We had been ripped off earlier in the day by another plumbing company, who first did an inadequate job of rooting the line for a very high price, then tried to pressure us into signing a contract to replace our lateral line for $30,000 +/- They made it seem like an emergency that needed a quick decision to avoid disaster, and they wanted to start digging up the front yard tomorrow. We called Miksis Services for a second opinion. Thankfully, Kevin & Dan were able to come out with the Big Machine, after hours, and remove the roots that the other company had left behind Now everything works fine again. They also told us that, if it ever becomes necessary, they could repair the damaged section rather than replace the entire line. Totally recommend to snake a line / clear a drain. I had water backing up into garage from washing machine as well as dishwasher (they share a wall). I called 4 different places prior to calling rapid rooter, 2 national and 2 local. The woman who answered the phone was nice and unlike the other companies, understanding I had a budget and was able to provide me with a $150 quote for the first hour. Other local companies refused to provide a base quote saying they worked off a "price guide". When I explained to other companies my budget and asked if the base would fall under that, they refused to answer. The tech arrived within 3 hours (on time), was friendly and easy to talk to. As he was clearing the line, I discovered water under the kitchen sink. He was able to fix both issues within the hour and my bill was a flat $150. First, i want to say I appreciate rapid rooter being able to come out same day to fix my issue and the job was done to my satisfaction. I also appreciate the office staff taking the time to listen to my complaint when I called. Everyone I spoke with at the company, aside from this one technician, was very nice. This review is based on the technician they sent to my home. My appointment window was from 230-430pm. At about 144pm I had a voicemail from the technician asking if he could come early, he was ahead of schedule. I attempted to call him back to let him know 1) i wasn't home yet, i was picking my child up from school. 2) what exactly the issue was and to warn him about me using drano in my sink. I got home at 2pm. My mother in law, who came over to babysit, went ahead and let them in when she got there. When i arrived, the work was done. The technician asked me if I had bleach or drano on the sink. I told him drano. He then went on to be a passive aggressive jerk and said "You have to inform us when there are chemicals in the sink. I hit your garbage disposal and it splashed up in to my eyes and mouth. YOU HAVE TO INFORM US. You're lucky it wasn't someone else because they wouldn't be as nice as i am. Plus it causes cancer and ITS BAD FOR YOUR CHILDREN." Ok, I was fine with him being a dick but the second he mentioned my kids I was absolutely offended. I felt like he was saying I was a bad parent. It's not like I'm letting my kids drink drano. I didn't let them anywhere near the sink. They weren't allowed in the kitchen while this issue was happening. So save your judgement, dude. Also, why aren't you wearing your PPE?! It's not my fault you're an idiot and not protecting yourself. I would have informed him about the drano had I been home. I DID NOT AUTHORIZE YOU TO WORK IN MY HOME EARLY. I DID NOT TALK TO YOU AND SAY YOU COULD COME TO MY HOME BEFORE MY APPOINTMENT TIME. YOU TOOK IT UPON YOURSELF TO SHOW UP AT MY HOUSE EARLY AND START WORKING WITHOUT MY CONSENT. I made the appointment, I am the owner of the house, I knew what was going on...my mother in law didn't know anything other than I had a plumbing issue so she couldn't warn this guy about the drano. I had these guys out to snake a drain and they said they were having a hard time getting through my pipe because of a off set. They told me they could dig it up and replace it for just a couple hundred dollars which was a great price because I called around and they beat the prices of other company's by over 1/2. They saved me money and were very professional! And to the one who wrote a bad review a 30 day guarantee is that not a 41 day guarantee. These guys are not paid by the hour and do not have a company gas card so I don't blame them for not going back!!! read more

Worst office manager I have ever had to deal with. Their male office manger is rude, disrespectful and arrogant. He should not be in a customer service industry at all. He says he will returns call and doesn't. When he does pick up the phone he is discourteous and unhelpful. We tried dealing with him several times. The plumber sent out to us, Jim, was a great guy. Polite, professional, clean and efficient. Loved him. If we could call him directly that would be great. However their office manger earns this company zero stars. read more

For AT LEAST 25 years we've used Bob and Keven at Rapid Rooter to scrape out the stubborn cenanothus roots that almost annually grow into our drain line near the court and cause stoppage to all toilets and baths. And every year the guys show up exactly when they say they will and handle the job quickly and effectively. And this year when the stoppage occurred at 5:30 PM on a Friday just before expecting Saturday house guests, we were so pleased to find Steve on call; even though it was supper time, he came over and dealt with this messy job. I've lived in my home for 29 years and have only needed my sewage lines cleared twice previously during this time. Recently, my lines clogged, and wanting to support local businesses, I called this company. The team that arrived had difficulty getting the snake into the individual line needing to be cleared... they cleared all the other lines (which I guess could be considered a perk, except that it took time I was paying for) before getting into the clogged line. Then the snake snapped, so they spliced it back together... on my time & dime. Finally they went into the clog through an overflow and "cleared" it, but it added more time, and additional charges, onto the bill. Fast forward to 41 days later, or 11 days after the 30 day guarantee has expired, and the drain is again clogged! Called the company to see what they could offer me to make right in this situation. Here's their offer: send the same team out at $60/hr. Why would I want to pay to have them come back, if they couldn't get it right the first time they were here??? If you ever find yourself with clogged drains... RUN away from this company and give your business to someone, anyone, else!!! read more
