These guys made applying for our China visas quick and easy. We just printed out the form from…read moretheir website, followed their instructions, tips and tricks, and filled out our application like the sample application showed, took our pictures, printed out ALL of our hotel/flight plans (accidentally did this on card stock...oops), turned it in, paid the money, and that's it. 12 days later we had our 2 visas. I appreciated them looking over the application to make sure we did everything right. Both women I interacted with were very friendly and helpful through email and in person. Two things to note if you're looking to go to China... 1. If you live in Utah, you have to either go through a service like The Travel Broker, or you have to go to the Chinese Emabassy in Washington D.C. yourself. If you have a friend or family member in or near D.C., you could send them everything and have them do it for you as well. A weekend trip to D.C. probably won't cut it as it takes a few days to process it apparently. 2. If you can make it work, look into the 144 and 72 hour transit visas. These are free and you do them on the plane and when you land. If you did a trip to Beijing, Hong Kong, and then Shanghai, you could do it without paying $250+ a visa under these rules. Bonus tip that I wish I had known earlier...if your passport expires within a year, get it renewed before getting the visa. You get a 10 year visa if you do this...if you don't, you'll get a less than 1 year visa. Fortunately/unfortunately, my wife is planning on changing her name within the next 10 years, so we were going to have to get her a new visa anyways...though if I had known this beforehand I would have scheduled our trip to make use of the 144/72 hour visas mentioned above and avoided the visa cost in the first place. Oh well. I will say one thing...their website is bizarre. Just ignore it. My parents recommended this place to me, I went to their website and...well just go to their website yourself and remember it's not the same quality their actual service is.

I did a walk in and was done within 20 minutes, including taking new passport photos. I paid for the 6-8 day renewal service and it was ready for me to pick up a day early! I would recommend their services to anyone in need of a last minute renewal, very happy with my experience here!

My husband and I had a really awful experience booking with this company. We booked with the travel…read moreagent Angie Percival for a trip to Cancún, Mexico. We booked with a large group and several of the group members felt that they were treated rudely by her. She was incredibly hard to get ahold of through both email and phone call. We contacted her several times through email and by phone about her using an incorrect email address for us that she never did correct. When our flights were canceled due to weather we were not helped by the office. We were informed that they could not help us with anything due to the trip being within 24hrs. We where directed to a phone service that we were on hold with for 4.5 hrs. After an hour of hold I called the agency office back to ask about cancellation policies and refunds for days missed and they informed me that they couldn't help with any changes and that I would have to wait on the phone like everyone else and they didn't have a magic button to push us through in line. The online service took so long our original airline was already booked full and we had to pay extra to fly with a different airline. We were also told that we would have to pay a penalty fee for missing a day at the resort due to weather, even though weather was out of our control. Overall we were very upset and would advise against anyone else using this agent or agency!

Switzerland exceeded our idealized image of this amazing, beautiful country! That said, Alpenwild…read moreand its locally sourced guides exceeded our expectations! This should be #1 at the top of your bucket list! Alpenwild actually specializes in hiking and climbing tours, and we expect that all of those tours are equally amazing. We took the Scenic Alps by Rail tour and the rest of this review is focused on that one. This is a fast-paced 9 days using the extensive and marvelous Swiss train system to crisscross the country from north to south and east to west, hitting all the major destinations away from the urban cities of Zurich and Geneva. You'll be travelling in a small group of 7 couples, who will quickly become good friends. The price includes everything except lunch, souvenirs, and a departing tip for your guides. Ours were a husband-wife team of Swiss citizens from Lucerne. Their English was perfect, as was their love and knowledge of Switzerland. All nights are in first class hotels, not on a train, and all travel is on a first class rail pass. With one minor exception, you bags are portered between hotels for you. Fitting all you need in the single suitcase allowed per person, you'll want to wear small backpack for some overflow and a few souvenirs. While not all that demanding, there is also a lot of walking in towns, to/from/between trains, and on level, prepared surfaces at 3 high altitude, sometimes snow covered, sites. Constrained by the trains' schedules, some of this walking is at quite a brisk pace. So, be honest with yourself about being up to Alpenwild's advice on one's level of health and fitness needed before booking this trip. When booking your flights, take into consideration jetlag and that you will not tour Lucerne itself. We had an overnight redeye to Zurich with a 9 hour time difference. Arriving in the afternoon the next day, we crashed at the Radisson on the airport. After sleeping in the next day, we took the train to Lucerne and checked in at Alpenwild's chosen hotel a day early. We did a self-guided tour of the city in the afternoon, went to bed early, and awoke late on the day the tour started, finally fully rested with our body clocks reset. Starting after noon, the 1st day is only a gondola ride to a mountain above the city followed by dinner in the old part of the city. The next morning is an early boat cruise of the entire length of Lake Lucerne to reach a train to Lugano. Lucerne itself is well worth touring, so we're glad we followed the personal itinerary described above and not just to recover from jetlag. You MUST see Switzerland and we can't imagine a better way than with Alpenwild.
