We had automatic payment set up from an Onpoint checking account to an Onpoint auto loan. For…read morewhatever reason, the automatic payments did not go through for 3 months in a row. Frankly, we didn't notice because the account is dedicated to paying the loan, and we don't look at it all the time. Instead of contacting us immediately to let us know the payments didn't go through, they let us go on for 3 months then affected my credit report by 60 points. The customer service representatives refused to help me or reverse the report even though we always made payments previously and made the late payments as soon as we found out the originals did not go through. Which was only after looking at my credit report. They never notified us. They insist notices were sent in the mail, but we never received them. This is horrible customer service. Had we been alerted via a simple phone call, email, or message in the online banking portal, this would have been resolved immediately. Now my credit has significantly dropped, and the negative report will be on my credit for the next 7 years. Onpoint Community Credit Union needs to start contacting customers immediately when a loan payment is missed via phone call, email, and messages on the online banking portal. This used to be a great credit union; now it is worse than a big bank. We are paying the loan off early and closing our accounts with them as soon as possible. Put your money elsewhere.

She questions, "can we accept this kind" and then it's, "look it's taped". So what?! That doesn't make it invalid! Is a taped check or cash also invalid? No, as long at its watermarked and contains all the pertinent serial and account numbers. My 8 year old niece knows that. Who trained her? She eventually all sheepishly goes to get her manager. She comes over and confirms they won't accept it. It's clearly legit, water marked, with the remittance slips and a store receipt. Complete incompetency. Rather than go back in forth I just leave annoyed, and drive 30 mins to the downtown location. There I am greeted by Kaylee , she is super nice, and is able to cash it without any issues. She even had another employee shadowing her as this was done. So not only is the 82nd store incompetent - this is the 2nd time in less than a year I have had a poor service there. Once, I think maybe it's the teller having a bad day. But twice? Hmmm. I'll drive the 30 mins and go elsewhere.

When I pointed out that there were two bankers sitting without clients, the teller became visibly uncomfortable and explained that one had just returned and the other "doesn't work at this location"--even though he was sitting there laughing at his phone while customers waited. I specifically drove through traffic and heavy rain to this location because it had more bankers available. Expectations for employees are incredibly high, yet leadership holds itself to an entirely different standard. There is little accountability, poor communication, and a complete disconnect between management and the employees expected to keep everything running. Training is virtually nonexistent. There is no structured onboarding, no training program, no syllabus, and no consistent process for learning the job. New employees are expected to figure things out as they go because even experienced staff often receive conflicting answers. It's clear that many processes have never been properly documented or updated. The technology and internal resources are severely outdated. Instead of investing in better systems or improving efficiency, leadership seems content to continue doing things the way they've always been done, even when those methods create unnecessary frustration for both employees and members. What disappointed me most was how little employees and members seemed to matter. Rather than encouraging strong work ethic, innovation, or continuous improvement, the culture rewards complacency. It often felt easier for leadership to ignore problems than solve them. Employees are treated like numbers rather than people, and appreciation or support is hard to find. If this organization truly wants to improve, it needs a complete overhaul: new leadership, modern technology, updated training materials, and a management team that actually knows how to lead, communicate, and invest in its employees. My advice to anyone considering working here: think carefully before accepting a position. I…read morecan't think of a single interaction with this place that has gone smoothly during the past 4-5 years, at least not while dealing with our beneficiary IRA account. They have no clue how to deal with it, they're always having to check in with a manager, always a minimum of 30-60 minutes in the place before being told the transaction can't happen and we'll have to return when "so-n-so" is here. Now we're getting the same business over a 1099-R form we need to get our taxes done and it's mid-February. It should have been in our mailbox two weeks ago but instead we're having to wait an additional week for some other "so-n-so" to show up and figure it out. We're really looking forward to never having to deal with this place again a year from now, if and when we get the last 1099 from them to complete our taxes. I'm betting it's going to be the same or worse by then.
