We selected them in part because they proposed a creative solution for adding a second bathroom. We signed our contract in May 2024, and the project was completed in April 2025. Following the design and permitting phase, we were informed that the construction portion would take approximately 2-3 weeks. In reality, construction took about 6 weeks, plus an additional 2-3 days for necessary touch-ups and revisions. While we appreciate that WJB ultimately completed the remodel and delivered a finished space, the overall experience was more frustrating than expected. This was largely due to inconsistent communication and gaps in quality control. We had anticipated more in-person guidance with material selection based on our initial discussions, but much of the process was handled via email and text, often requiring re-selection due to availability or fit issues. Communication around scheduling also required frequent follow-up on our end. After some back-and-forth, we were given an anticipated start date about 10 days in advance and told it would be confirmed the Saturday prior. When we did not receive confirmation, we followed up the following Monday and were then given a slightly adjusted start date. Shifts in the project timeline also impacted the payment schedule. (An online payment system or portal would likely improve this process.) Additionally, during the project, a $10,000 check was misplaced, requiring us to stop payment and reissue the check. The construction phase itself experienced multiple delays and ultimately took about twice as long as originally projected. While we understand that some delays are unavoidable/uncontrollable, others may have been mitigated with more proactive supervision and quality control. We do appreciate that WJB addressed some concerns by completing touch-ups promptly after project completion and has offered to make additional corrections if needed.

They text to say they were running late after confirming the appointment 20 minutes earlier. The husband and wife both had attitude from the the minute they entered my house. When asked to put booties on (because the job was on the 2nd floor and we don't wear shoes in the house), they appeared to be surprised with my request. (I provided the booties) The husband said if they needed to wear booties, then they probably were not the contractor for me! He is right, they aren't the contractor for me. First, I hate for my time to be wasted, next this is a clear indication they have no respect for my home. Please think twice before calling this company for any home improvements. I will be sharing this with Angi's list as well!

CL Concrete left me standing literally OUTSIDE. Maybe they are under new management since the last 2025 review. Maybe there is an explanation. I requested a quote for a job with a minimum of $3500 and I anticipated something closer to about 6-8K. I put in a request for a quote and waited 2 weeks for the date. The driver/representative of the company told me he would arrive about 45min early. I had taken time off work and did not bother planning another company to come out. He arrived and asked where to park as he had a trailer. I told him in driveway or across the street in parking lot if he needed more space. He simply text me back that he CANCELLED taking the job! Then refused to answer the phone any further. My day is shot. I'm sure he found a more lucrative opportunity and just cancelled me instead. I don't take close in cancellation lightly in these times where the working person has so much time off and our time is valuable. I am going to go to Angie's list and look up a good team to come do the work. I am in a new build area and all of my neighbors use the same people - good business is good business and this was an example of poor customer service. I live in San Jose, CA, so I wasn't sure how the process for building a prefab garage a few hundred…read moremiles away from Dry Creek Mini Barns would go. I had gotten quotes from some local builders for a ground up garage that were so expensive. Then, I started to look into a prefab garage and found Dry Creek and they were willing to make the trek from the Central Valley up to San Jose to build for me. Their pricing was a fraction of what a ground-up building would have cost. Short explanation: The garage came out great, despite an insanely long design and permitting process. I love the garage and it looks incredible. The builders were fantastic. Longer explanation: The sales and design process was pretty smooth. I was able to get a quote quickly from Will and a preliminary design done. I ran into some hiccups getting my permit through the city of SJ. The main issue here was that any changes that I needed Dry Creek to make required a long turnaround time, since I had to explain the changes and then Dry Creek had to re-draw and snail mail the new drawings to me. The city of San Jose was slow to respond to my changes that I turned in, so any changes that I need to submit took about three weeks. This happened several times, so every change was an additional three weeks. Another hiccup was that I had asked Dry Creek to pour the foundation for me, as a line item in my sales agreement. When the time came to begin this, Dry Creek was unable to find a local contractor to pour the foundation. It was put on me to find a local concrete contractor to do this. I got three quotes for a foundation, two of which were astronomically higher than what Dry Creek had quoted me. Luckily, my third quote was a decent price and I was able to get my foundation poured. Once the foundation was sorted out, then Dry Creek sent their traveling crew to build the garage. These guys were AWESOME. They arrived in a truck with my disassembled garage on the grailer and they assembled it quickly! They framed out the garage in 3 days. I had to get an inspection after that. After the inspection was complete, the crew came back and completed the rest of the work in 3 more days. Zach at the office was great with communicating with me and providing updates throughout the whole build process. My garage just got signed off through the city of San Jose, so I am so happy to have my completed garage!

I was under the impression the build would take one day and instead it took 10 days to completion. Needless to say the build experience is where I deducted stars but the shed itself, once completed was a relief and joy to have. Overall would I recommend this company, probably not which is a shame their product is mostly quality but the build experience was not.
