Everything you need for jumping off point to Dinosaur National Monument, next door to Adrift rafting for a trip down the Green river, or a drive into Vernal to find all the dinosaur mascots. They have hammock sites (where you could just set up hammocks to sleep in outside), teepees, RV sites, tent sites. Pretty much anything you could want. We went during the week and there was plenty of camping sites available. Though if it was full you would be right on top of your neighbors. Thankfully for us there was hardly anyone there. The camping area is not too far from the boat ramp. So it was easy to take our paddleboards and kayaks down and then drive back up and hit the water. The views here are so lovely. Really so unique. The reds and whites in the mountains and seeing all the rock layers. Make playing in the water pretty awesome. During the day there seemed to be a lot of users. Not as much as some of teh local lakes to me in Colorado but still busy. If you are wanting to rent a watercraft you would want to get there sooner rather than later. Not sure how their rental policy is working now as we brought our own kayaks and paddleboards this time. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It was calm and peaceful and relaxing. Would definitely come back.

The bathrooms and "kitchen" were filthy, and the facilities (especially children's play areas) are in desperate need up a facelift. The pool water was cloudy, and we met a couple who were checking out early to go to another camp area. My daughter made friends with a stray dog that was roaming around and feeding off the full trash cans. It felt like we were staying at an abandoned carnival.

Look for a 3 toed depression and look at multiple angles to catch the tracks in the sun and shadow. The Trail is easy to moderate with some up and down over sandstone so boots are the best option for footwear. The purple lupine were blooming in late May and made a striking contrast against the bright sand.
