This place is full of poor (drunk?)actors. They are NOT licensed professionals. The lady I called…read moreidentified herself as "Donna McName." She accepted my application and scheduled an interview for December in August. They day of interview I was informed that Missss. McName went on vacation, and that their office only services people located in their county of L.I. I don't know how much lower a person can actually stoop! Who would play a joke on someone who's unemployed! It explains why she's working at a DOL office. All she had to was place my application in a queue. Luckily another agency was able to help secure a training grant. I didn't receive any kind of feed back from the DOL after reporting the incident either. It just goes to show how corrupt the DOL can be with regard to processing complaints. When you see people out on welfare just remember that folks like Ms. McName are in the picture.

He also wanted the names of private companies I have audited at my current position which violates confidentiality for my current employer. I found that unprofessional on his part. The interview went OK but I believe the firm never had any desire to hire me even before the interview. Later in the day after my morning interview I get a call from Tom telling me that they passed on resume. I feel like they don't care about finding the right canidate just getting as many canidates as possible for interviews. I will possibly use them down the road again but maybe with another coordinator.

I was recruited from LinkedIn for a position they had. I expressed that I was not actively looking…read morebut spoke with the recruiter about what would be my ideal job and about the position. I decided to interview with the company after learning more about the position. It sounded like the environment I wanted to be in. After the interview, I expressed to the recruiter that while the job sounded great and the salary was right I needed to know the company's position on working remotely. I repeatedly told the recruiter that being able to work remotely was as important as the salary. He assured me that the company was open to me working remotely. I also inquired about the hours of the position (I was told 8-4 or 9-5) and I asked about Holidays because the PTO wasn't great. He told me they had many holidays because they had bank holidays as well as the standard working holidays. Based on all his answers, I accepted the company's offer and when I arrived the first day I found that he was wrong about everything. The hours were 9-6 (not 8-4 or 9-5). They did not give bank holidays and had fewer holidays than my prior job. Most importantly, they did not allow working remotely at all and said the recruiter never once told them I requested that. Lesson learned the hard way for me. Beware that the recruiter does not have your interest as his top priority. In this case, I feel his priority was getting paid.
