Great food, great ambiance inside/outside, and friendly staff! I've gone here once since I live right next to it and it's such a chill place to kick back and enjoy southern cooking. They got a broad menu for drinks and your traditional burgers and stuff, which is what I ended up getting, but it was a really good burger! My friend got the pizza and he said it was pretty good, though the portion isn't as big as we thought it would be, but we did enjoy the twist on their menu, it's not your traditional food by any means. My favorite is their strawberry cheesecake dessert. Something about it here that just tasted way better than other locations I've tried for cheesecakes. We got to enjoy the outside on warm evening out in the patio section. This is a great place hang out with a good variety of beers on tap. I took some home from the clearance rack and, to my surprised, loved them. I had the sweet potato fries and they were okay. They have more beer than you can drink in one visit. They have a outside area you can bring your pup and they will even bring out water bowls for them! The staff is hit or miss on beer knowledge. This small beer bar was pretty crowded on a Friday night and I got the last parking spot in the lot. So it's better as a bar than a restaurant. Our server was doing her best but the kitchen was not cooperating. We ordered two appetizers and one sandwich to share and after what seemed like a very long time I asked about the appetizers. They usually come out pretty quickly. I was told they would be a few more minutes. And you can guess what happened next. Our entree came out first. We were hungry so we dug in and it wasn't until about 10 minutes later that the appetizers were ready. I dislike it when that happens. But, for bar food it was pretty good. We had the sliders which came with fries and the chicken Caesar wrap which had shaved Parmesan on it. The Brussels sprouts were dry and just nothing to write home about. I would avoid them next time. As you might expect, the beer selection was great. About 30 on draft to choose from. And several wines. But this is not a bar with mixed drinks. No sodas or cocktails. DH and I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon . The building is super cute and I expected only good things. We sat down at the bar only 3 other people there . After a bit of time (longer than you would expect) we were greeted. I am not really a stickler on service to be honest but since there was nobody there this was almost uncomfortable. We were handed our menus and then I told the server what type of beer I preferred and asked if any of the beer they had was similar and we were told that she has no idea because she is under age and doesn't drink the beer. Food is great! There was one item that I did not like on the menu that I received, and the chef came out to personally ask me what food item I would like in place of it. All the staff is super welcoming, and they have a pretty large assortment of beer flavors. I like that there is also a rating system on the beers that tells you what other customers have rated the beer flavor in the past. For the times that I bring my toddler with me, they have a wall of toys and activities to keep him busy. Will definitely be returning! read more

I absolutely love the revolving craft beer selection and the friendly staff. The menu has changed a couple of times recently but the food is great for bar snacks. We went here with our friends for the first time Friday night. The inside was rather brightly lit and had customers at the bar with a couple of tables filled with customers. We found the door to the outside seating and took a table outside under an umbrella. They have a lot of nice outdoor tables, with and without the umbrellas, and a porch with tables for seating. Very nice. We were thinking that this would be more of a standard type menu, with a choice of entrees including pasta, steaks, etc....but couldn't find anything on their website or internet. What we did see was that it was more for beer, flatbreads, sandwiches/burger and wraps. My wife and friend asked if they had Chardonnay wine. The waiter said they had red and white wine. She asked what type, but he didn't know. Our friend asked the same thing. He went and checked and came back saying they did have Chardonnay. The ladies ordered a Chardonnay. My friend ordered a red, and I ordered the #10 beer on their menu...some type of Weiss beer. We wanted to order the chicken wings but were informed that they didn't have any wings. Our friends ordered the chicken sandwich with fries and a hamburger with fries. My wife ordered the salad and I ordered the grouper sandwich with aioli on a brioche bun. The food came out fairly fast...I was impressed with the speed. My wife said the salad was one of the best she had. It had strawberries, blue cheese, sweetened pecans and crispy chicken with a vinaigrette salad dressing. She said it was one of the best salads she's had in the area. My Grouper sandwich was also very good. Blackened grouper, tomato, lettuce, aioli and a nice bun. The only thing wrong with it was it was hard to eat as a sandwich, as the grouper was hanging out of the round brioche bun. Very good though. The fries (which were supposed to be truffle fries) were excellent. But I think they gave me the regular fries instead of the truffle fries, as my friend ordered regular fries with his hamburger and they were exactly like mine. His wife ordered the truffle fries and they had a drizzle of something on them, different than ours. I know the taste of truffles, but didn't taste any on my fries. Her chicken sandwich was very good, crispy and moist. All in all, the food was excellent. What we didn't like were the prices. Hamburger was $16.00 plus add $2 for fries or other sides. My grouper sandwich was $13 plus $2 for fries. My wife's salad was $13. She ordered two chardonnays and I had one beer. So my bill for a salad, fish sandwich with fries, two wines and one beer was $66. I didn't pay close attention to it but when we got home I looked at the bill and they had charged me $7 for the truffle fries (which I did not get). My friend ordered the Chicken sandwich with fries (supposed to be $2)...but she opted for truffle fries so they added $7 for those. Quite expensive. Food is good. Service was decent. We probably won't frequent here often, but will go back because the food was excellent. read more

Love this place. Mike was our knowledgeable beer guide (bertender). I was able to sample until i found the ones that suited me. The enviorment is friendly and inviting. Really just a layed back, relaxed atmosphere. They have expaned so now there are 2 sides to it. Lounge on the couch, watch sports on one of the many TV's, play a game of darts, or choose one of their board games or......Jenga!! Also they opened an outdoor seating area out back!!! If there was a sixth star I'd give it six. I went there for happy hour last night. Recently heard about this bar and had no expectations. Initially I thought this could be one of those "rough Elgin" bars. Not the case at all as it was about 30 "beer nuts" in a room. Everyone was enjoying a host of unique beers from all over the country. It was literally amazing. The 15 tapped 1/6 barrels that they had flowing was awesome. They kicked 4 barrels in the time I was there but had awesome beers that followed them up. They rotate kegs quick which I loved! Basically every beer was amazing. The staff also was outstanding. Dan is the man and seemed to be the personality of the bar. The ladies with him were kind, friendly and knowledgeable. There was a beer in there for everyone and they were glad to help if the didn't have a macro you were accustomed to. Not sure bud or Miller lite was there so hit some other place if that's your bag. There's no food but they're totally cool if you want to bring your own or call the Pontiac House of Pizza. I had an awesome time last night and plan to be back many times. Well Done Elgin! read more

We have been here several times and we are definitely fans. The beers tend to err on the higher side of moderately priced *but* they're all exceptional quality. I don't think I've ever gotten the same beer twice and I have never had a bad beer. They have 15 rotating beers on tap, featuring many local brews, and an ever wider variety in their beer cooler. The staff is always exceptionally kind and personable, and the patrons are laid back and inviting. You walk in and everyone treats you like family.
