My original attorney for my DUI only charged me $750.00, and did a much better job. I wish I had obtained him for this case as well. Mr. White was extremely callous, and showed no concern what so ever for the chance that I may get jail time. I do not recommend this attorney at all. I think he is only in it for the money, and does not show any concern for his clients at all. The results of my hearing in GD court was a guilty verdict of 10 days in jail. Which I would have had to serve all of. He showed no remorse for me at all. Had the nerve to hand me his business card while I was recieving my sentencing papers from the court clerk. I wanted to tear it up and throw it in his face, but I'm not that kind of person. He was also 15 minutes late for my hearing, and I never met him until that day. I even had to call him and remind him of the day of my arraignment. My hearing lasted about 5 minutes, before the judge rendered her verdict, and he said nothing. Did nothing to properly defend me. I appealed this case on my own, and appeared in Circuit Court, May 7, 2025 as my own defense, and did a much better job than he did at the lower court level. The judge asked me why I didn't obtain him for my appeal, and I told him everything that I have said in this review. I recieved no jail time, and my case was put under advisement until my interlock device is removed, which would have happened regardless of the outcome of my hearing. I represented myself much better than Mr. White did. He should be ashamed of himself for taking my money for a case and not doing a thing to defend me. By the way I had to do all the research and leg work for the evidence on my case. He did nothing. I thought it was always the attorney's job to do find all the evidence to defend their clients? When I asked him to get me weekends, he informed me that I needed to go speak to the officer in charge of the weekenders to get permission for doing weekend time. The court clerk, and the officer both asked me why my attorney was not handling this. I had no answer, except that was my question as well. Apparently, all he seems to care about is a guaranteed win. I did not know at the time I hired him, that he was mostly an injury attorney, but he assured me I had nothing to worry about, and my case would be dismissed. I gave him 1 star, but I wish I had the option to give him a zero, because that is what his attorney skills are worth.
