READ BEFORE USING THIS "BUSINESS" I would literally NEVER recommend this "business" to ANYONE. PHOTOS INCLUDED I walked in today, was given forms after being asked about insurance, rushed into a room with no time to fill out the paperwork. I was asked if I had insurance multiple times. Doctor came in and didn't acknowledge us (gf was with me) and told me to sign the paperwork even though he knew i hadn't read it yet. He immediately complained to me that this paperwork shouldve been done already. I had only had this paperwork for 10 minutes while simultaneously having to answer many questions from the nurse. I honesty felt like he made a lot of "sideways" remarks. I felt rushed throughout the whole process. Not talking in a way that resembled a medical professional doing. He asked me about my axillary. When i was obviously confused, he repeated axillary again. When i was still obviously confused, he rudely replied armpit. My gf was in the room, after my appointment she admitted to me that after her years of medical classes, literally having to memorize the whole body multiple times, she was still confused by him acting this way. Why would an experienced medical proffesional talk to a patient this way? "I dont know about your insurance, but you obviously have some things going on." He said this after he already knew i didnt have insurance. My girlfriend's main concern comes in with the medical paperwork. When we left we were given only one paper. It was the receipt for the "service" the business owner who was the doctor "provided." We went home and she said that we needed my medical paperwork and pointed out it was VERY weird that i was provided with no paperwork about my condition especially considering that it was a condition neither of us had heard about nor about the medication that was prescribed. We went back for my medical paperwork and they were kind of weird about it. Repeated several times that they werent sure if they could print it and that he hadnt signed it yet. In return, i kept repeating that i just wanted my information and they eventually let me have it. My gf's top concern is that many things in the paperwork that werent talked about and she only feels relieved we basically demanded to have it because we use many things that the paperwork says makes my condition worse. I cant think of anything else to say at the moment, but if you HAVE NO OTHER CHOICE but to go here, be prepared, stay safe, know your rights and do your own research. I had a horrible experience and wish I could give zero stars. The only benefit is that there are appointments readily available but you're better going anywhere else. The nurse and NP made me feel like an idiot and were not clear with the scar that would result from the procedure that I had administered. I was left with a hole in my arm because the NP didn't use enough stitches in my incision and thus resulted in the incision popping open. Which according to the NP was "my fault." Maybe the med spa side is better but I'm not going back to give it a go. read more

This was such an uncomfortable experience for me, and the doctor was extremely unprofessional. I was so shocked and baffled by the whole experience that I actually tried to tell myself I was crazy for feeling the way that I do. Then, as I was telling my friend about it, I actually heard my words and realized a doctor should NEVER make you feel this way. (Please note: the two ladies at the front desk are extremely kind and professional. This office is so lucky to have them as their first point of contact.) As for the appointment itself: There was a lot of uncomfortable chatter throughout the appointment, but biggest red flag was during the skin cancer screening. I was not offered a dressing gown, and they did not leave the room to ask me to change. I never even sat on the examination table. The doctor just started looking at my arms and face and told me to take off my shirt. I had an undershirt on, so I went with it. He pulled it up to check the places that would have been covered by a gown. When he finished that he actually told me to stand up and TAKE OFF MY PANTS. I said to him, "that's not normal, that makes me uncomfortable." Then he said "Well are you wearing underwear?" I continued to tell him that that was not appropriate, this was not a normal process, and it made me uncomfortable, and he told me I could just "pull them down to my knees." Let me remind you, I am not sitting on an exam table at this time. I am standing shirtless about an inch away from him. I finally just told him no, that request was unprofessional and inappropriate. He said we could just do it next time, then. Let me say, I don't know know if this was overtly sexual harassment or just lack of understanding about patient interactions and bedside manner. I hate to say that age may be a factor, but the doctor and assistant both appeared to be about 22 years old. Even their conversation with each other was extremely casual and underdeveloped, as far as professionalism goes. What I DO know is that I was uncomfortable and do not want anyone else to encounter that situation or feel like they HAVE to pull their pants down for anyone. That being my main issue, I also continued to be just perplexed by the doctor's actions. I also went in to have a wart frozen off of my thumb because I've been having no luck with OTC medicines. I had to specifically ask a couple of times. He said that all warts will eventually be cleared by the body on its own, which isn't actually true. Especially after an extended amount of time. He did do it, but it didn't work. He then saw 2 pimples on my face, regular issues with my cycle. Other than an occasional one with the hormone changes, my skin is fairly pimple free. He said "You have acne! I'll write you a prescription." When I left, I had that prescription and one to help with the wart. I did fairly extensive research on the wart medicine to see what it was, and it was a prescription for genital warts. I search high and low, secondary uses etc, and could not find anything about it being used for typical skin issues. I still don't know how I feel about that prescription. I also feel like maybe he's getting kickbacks of sort for prescribing certain medicines? Anywho... I have red hair, blue eyes, and fair skin. I have a history of skin cancer, and my family does as well, so when I moved to Lafayette I wanted to be proactive and find a dermatologist. I am not a stranger to the dermatologist office or skin cancer screenings and feel like I have a good grasp on what the experience should be like. This is NOT it. read more

I'm writing this review in regards to the amazing nurse Karla! I had an appointment for back acne and this nurse from start to finish was very attentive. She stayed afterwards to answer any leftover questions I had and to help me remember medications and information the nurse practitioner mentioned so that I could write them down. To be honest, I was a bit overwhelmed with everything the NP told me, pretty fast too, but the nurse turned it around and took her time with me. She also brought out some much needed samples for me to take home and went out of the room to check for another I had questions about and bring it to me. The nurse also was genuinely kind and friendly which made me feel comfortable. She helped me understand the medical jargon and calm my confusion. Thanks Karla, you the real MVP. read more

I had my first (and possibly last) dermatology appointment yesterday in White county. The nurse was wonderful. The doctor came in and immediately gave off a bad vibe. He was rude, dismissive, argumentative and somewhat belittling. I was there to have a spot removed from my head and sent off for testing, so understandably a little nervous. I have read reviews saying he can be abrasive, but knows his stuff. That's wonderful, but for a new patient with concerns, a little compassion goes a long way. I absolutely do NOT recommend this clinic. First of all, i was waiting about 45 min for the doctor, then the visit was literally 10-15 min maximum. The doctor wasn't look very professional to me. He said me all the info i already knew before. He told me i have to go to Walmart and buy moisture over the counter. He also prescribed me Dexamethasone, which would cost me 15$ with my insurance for the small tube! I refused to buy that, my eczema was gone itself to the time i got to the Walmart. I feel i just should pay 50$ for nothing! So just don't waist your time there read more

I would not recommend Randall Dermatology. I would find a more professional and knowledgeable facility. I was referred here due to lumps on my neck and head and a full body checkup on my moles. First off, the nurse practitioner T. Coyner was rushing as soon as she entered my room. She barely looked at the lumps and told me they were cysts. She shot steroids into them. She wanted me to come back in two weeks to have the "cysts" cut out of my neck. She went to leave the room and I had to remind her to take a look at my moles. She took a very quick glimpse with her eyes and told me they were fine because I have had them all of my life. I was not happy with their care so I cancelled my next appointment and found a new dermatologist. My new dermatologist informed me that the lumps on my neck were NOT cysts. They were swollen lymph nodes. I also had to have 3 moles cut out at my new dermatologist due to them being pre-cancerous. I am very disappointed in the care I received at Randall Dermatology. Randall also sent me to collections a month after receiving the outrageous bill for their poor care even when I made a payment towards it. Please take care of your health and skin and find a dermatologist who is responsible and knowledgeable. read more

I have no idea if these people are any good at what they do. I waited an hour not to mention the 15 minutes early that they expect you to be. When Holly walked in she was very rude in a calm way but didn't tell me anything I already knew. Patients time is also valuable (I should be able to charge them for an hour of my time!).......what would they do if we were an hour late? They would charge us and then reschedule. Followed instructions and by 1 day post op had a raging infection. Severe pain. Called the office and was lied to about their ability to write for pain meds. Drove an hour to an appointment in severe pain only to find they could only write a script for antibiotic. Went immediately to family doctor who was very upset at the raging infection. Did wound culture, antibiotic shot, pain/inflammation shot, oral antibiotics, pain meds. Culture came back positive for MRSA. I am very upset that I have to even take my husband back to this office for suture removal. We will not return here after this visit. I recommend you do not use this physician. read more

My appointment was in Frankfort. I arrived early to fill out paperwork. I was called back before I finished. Wasn't a long wait at all. The NP came in asked why I was there..showed him a spot on my leg and shoulder. He said they were ok. A bump above my eye..he asked what he was looking at?? Then said it's nothing. Showed him a spot on my ear..said he could freeze it. He did with no explanation at all. Never asked if I wanted a skin tag removed on my shoulder by the spot he looked at. He has the personality of a tick. Maybe he was having a bad day..leave it at the door. I won't go back ever to see him. The girls in the office were great. Very nice and professional. read more

My first impression when I called to schedule an appointment was that the secretary was rude. However, the waiting area was clean and impressive. The NP I met with was very nice. She answered all my questions and offered me exactly what I had wanted. She took into consideration my availability and insurance and made sure I knew my options. After leaving, I received a notification that my prescription cost was $280. I was not notified of the prices during the appointment, because I believed it'd be covered by insurance, so that was partially my fault. I called back and left a message to discuss cheaper options. Make sure to discuss prices. I have bad luck with dermatologists; make sure to prepare yourself with questions before your appointment. read more

I'm frustrated with 3 attempts to schedule with this company as they visit Terre Haute. I've been told on calls made Monday & Tuesday that the computer was down and they couldn't set the apt. I called again on Friday and I was told that I need to call on the day that they visit Terre Haute because they only have a physical date book with them & that's the only way you can schedule. I was a new patient at the West Lafayette clinic. Dr. Randall abruptly came in my room (no knock) and did not introduce himself. He rushed through my appointment and left little room for me to ask questions or clarifications. He immediately started injecting me with anesthesia without really explaining the procedure and the purpose. He had probably done the procedure a million times, but I was a new patient and had never done it before. I've been here a few times and it's honestly the only practice that has really made a change in my eczema. Dr. Randall was very helpful and listened to my concerns when he prescribed something I was skeptical about and changed my prescription to match what had worked for me in the past. He was also very thorough when he was concerned that I might have cancer and the biopsy was totally painless. Out of the three dermatologists I've tried for the same skin issues, this was the one that really made me feel heard and made the difference. read more

VERY unprofessional. This review is for the Terre Haute location. I had an appointment to be consulted for Botox and filler. Though I have had both in the past, I wasn't 100% happy with my results so I was looking for a new facility to go to. I made my appointment for 2:00 PM, I knew that would work with my work schedule. On the day of, I received a call asking to move my appointment to 1:15. I was unable to, I had meetings all day until 1:30. When I got to the office, about 10 min early, I was asked to fill out the usual paper work, no problem. I was still filling out the paper work when called back. I was asked what I was there for. I told the nurse, Botox but I wanted to talk to the nurse practitioner, Lindsay, no doctor on site, about filler. When Lindsay came in, she seemed very rushed, like she didn't want to hear anything I had to say. & she was irritated that I didn't have my paperwork filled out! She was like, well I am going to talk to my front desk staff about the fact that you are still filling out paperwork.. She asked me what I was in for, I told her my interests, & asked her opinion, mind you, I know what I am looking for, & I know my face. I like the natural look, nothing over the top or over filled. She began to give suggestions that was WAY over the top. Filler in my forehead, said my forehead was sunken in & that I had an older look! ( What?? isn't that what Botox is for??& no one has ever told me that I have an older look, if anything, always told I look younger..) two full vials of filler in my cheeks, I know that is most likely the norm, but to much for me, I don't need much, just a small amount to look refreshed. I appreciated her input, but I said, no, that is to much for me.. I'm guessing she wasn't used to anyone not agreeing with her, because she walked out of the room & slammed the door! Came back in & was like, then what do you want?? I have given you my advice, you're not taking it, so we are doing Botox! And she slams the Botox vial down on the table! I forgot to mention, that when I was telling her about my past experience, because she asked, she kept cutting me off & honestly didn't want to hear my concerns, then asked me what doctor I had been to, that I wasn't happy with. I didn't feel comfortable telling her, I didn't want to slander a local Dr, well she didn't like that either. Then she says, your appointment was at 2! You were supposed to have your paperwork sent to you & filled out at home & since you didn't, you should have been here early! I informed her that I didn't receive anything in the mail & was here 10 min early. She once again said, I am going to have to talk to my staff about that!! At this point, I was thinking this lady isn't touching my face. She was very hostel & irritated. I said, maybe I need to think about what I want a little more.. she glared at me & said, I think you are right! I don't think anyone can make you happy!! I was later asked by a friend, did you tell her how unprofessional she was acting? I didn't, I was so caught off guard, that I went on the defense, saying to the the nurse practitioner, I have had a bad experience in the past so I was a little gun shy & was just making sure I didn't make the same mistake twice! she didn't care what I had to say, she opened the door & asked me to leave!! Mind you, this all happened in the matter of 15 to 20 minutes! Its not like I took an hour of her time. I have never been treated with such disrespect! I have a feeling it had something to do with the fact that I wouldn't move my appt up, when she came back in, right before she slammed down the Botox vial, I asked if the door should be shut, she rolled her eyes & said, no your are the last appointment. Just VERY, VERY unprofessional. I have had appointments with nurse practitioners in the past, they were very professional, and courteous. Lindsay gives all nurse Practitioners a bad name. I was embarrassed & upset while leaving the office. All of the staff knew what was happening. It was awful. I would suggest, if you have your own opinion about what you want, go elsewhere. First time patient to this clinic in West Lafayette. Disappointed in the lack of bedside manor of the Nurse practitioner on initial visit and on return visit treatment was even worse. I was charged $116 for less than a five minute face time with Nurse Practitioner. Didn't even have a chance to ask her to explain my test results before sherattled off medicine jargon and left the room. Her student spoke to me more than she did ad she exited the room. I'm in my 80's and am very grateful for all Randall Dermatology has done for me for the past 30 years. I have sun damaged skin from having spent my childhood summers out in the sun before there was such a thing as sunscreen. The nurses at Randall have painlessly removed many keratosis's that could have become cancer. As for my husband, he too is grateful as they spared him an unnecessary operation when he was told by a doctor at Arnette that a sore on his hand that wouldn't heal was cancer. I suggested he go to Randall for a second opinion and thankfully he did. He was prescribed a cream to use every day and the sore disappeared. With all the work we have had done at Randall, I have always been pleased with the cost. I love the environment of Randall's spa. It's beautiful and uplifting, and the people are all very friendly and competent. I would never go anywhere else. It's very busy for good reasons. read more

This guy was a real asshole. The first time I came here, I waited over an hour and a half past my appointment time and only got to see the doctor for three minutes. When I tried asking a question, for clarification, he ignored me, got up, and left the room. The only good thing about him was that he knew his stuff because whatever script he had the nurse bring in to me following that did the job much better than anything I had been prescribed before. During my next couple follow-up appointments, I never got to see him. I only got to see his PA. I found Dr. Randall to be rude, arrogant, and unprofessional. Don't waste your time going here. Be prepared to be CHEATED and charged a ridiculous amount of bill if you decide to go there. I went there a couple months ago. I was charged $400 and my situation got worse. I went there to have an itching/painful lesion seen by a nurse practitioner named Laura Wavra. She told me that if she could inject me with steroid once and the lesion would fade away. So I let her did it. A week later, it didn't go down but still there. In addition, I started to have crazy periods (only 8 days between two periods! for four months!). I called them and they asked me to come for a second visit. Laura told me that steroid is not hormone (but it fucking is! check Wikipedia) and should not cause period problem. For the lesion problem, she told me that: "I've seen 30 yrs of lesions and nothing like yours can go down after one injection! It may go away if you keep injecting it, or it may forever be there. I'm not the person making decision. You need to decide yourself." which was totally different from what she told me last time. Then she told me "there is no cost today". But when I got home I got a $200 bill for that second visit when she did nothing. When I asked them why, the woman in the insurance office named Paula, who was another ass hole, told me that "you came for office visit; you should pay for it". So DON"T GO THERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO PLAY WITH ASSHOLES AND JERKS. It doesn't worth any penny from my $400. read more

My 83 yr old mother was seen for an all body exam by nurse practitioner Theresa Coyner. Theresa was incredibly thorough and thoughtful in her comments. She was an extremely good listener and made us feel like she was fully attentive to our concerns. She was patient and did not give us the impression that she was in a rush. I looked up pricing and procedures before I went. I was surprised at how much my ink removal was quoted. (He charged per square inch like most places but charged for the empty spaces as well- there are two sections of about four square inches with no ink that I was being charged for.) I know I don't live in the middle of LA where business is booming for this kind of thing but I think I'll drive the extra hour to Indy. I paid to much just to be seen. One of my tattoos are on my upper leg. There is no dressing. He just has you drop your pants. He explained the machines. I read about them before and everything he said was correct. read more

Had a very pleasant experience with the gal at the Westfield, IN office. She took biopsies and all went well and no problems. Then the bill arrived. My biopsies were sent to a lab in Texas (out of network insurance provider). No mention of this when the biopsies were being taken. Now insurance will not cover any lab work done and the amount is ridiculous. Not sure why a local lab could not have been used. Will have to discontinue using Randall Dermatology because of the hidden bill cost. read more
