Appreciated his good humor and obvious skills. I had some initial auditory problems with the complimentary video compilation and third-party issues with the listing. Blaine in tech support stepped up calmly to address both issues. Turns out I just needed to wait a day or two for real estate sites to capture and upload the MLS video. I also ordered a discrete video file to give to my clients which enhanced my professional bona fides. My clients are professional musicians and gave their approbation for the video musical score as well! (Wings of Hope). I will never use Rancho Photos again. The homeowner met the photographer at the listing on May 29. All lights were on as requested. The photographer started in the front. The homeowner wasn't able to close the garage door before the photographer shot the front of the house, so the garage door was open, and there were trash cans in the driveway. Inside the house, some of the cabinets were missing. Instead of working around the missing doors, every picture of the kitchen has a missing door in it. When asked to take a picture through the window, showing the plants outside, the photographer told the homeowner, "I'm the professional here". If the photographer were truly a professional, he would have taken pictures as requested. I have to have all pictures retaken. read more

I have to give a mixed review for Rancho Photos. They were recommended to me when I asked someone who would be good to photograph my vacation rental home. I specifically selected Monday May 31 because I am only in town a few days at a time. I knew it was a holiday, but no one at Rancho seemed to indicate it would be a problem. My scheduled time was 2pm. I received a message from my photographer (while I was in flight), asking me if I could meet earlier. I said maybe 30 minutes earlier because I was in flight. The photographer sent me a text saying that somehow I slipped through the cracks because I was the only person in the LA/ San Diego area scheduled on a holiday. Um, ok. What do you want me to do with that tidbit of information? Anyway, I wasn't too warm and fuzzy about this guy and he hadn't even set foot on my property yet. I busted my ass to get everything set up like they request (lights turned on, blinds open, etc). When he arrived I made some specific requests for shots but allowed him enough creative freedom by saying to him, "If you have a better idea of how to capture the shot, I am open to ideas." Most photographers I have worked with in the past appreciate this because they usually don't like to be dictated to and they like to use their trained eye. The response I got back from him? "Well, the places I photograph are usually staged in advance." I got pissed and said, "Well I am not a realtor so I am doing the best I can." He sensed my frustration and then he gave some helpful comments about photos of my beach amenities in the garage which was great. From the jump he made me feel like such an inconvenience on a holiday despite the fact the Rancho office scheduled me. Hey, take your frustrations up with the scheduling office, not me. If you ever work with Rancho, please make sure you don't work with Alex. He won't check in to make sure he is getting the shot you want. In the end I got my photos but it didn't need to come with a side order of attitude. A photographer should be polite, collaborative, offer suggestions and be professional. This guy wasn't. read more

I just used Rancho Photos for the first time on a residential "for sale" listing and experienced better photos with other photographers. They use and HDR process while only using three photos per picture instead of 5 or 7 and didn't use a tripod for the shots and shot in JPG instead of RAW. Hence the photos turned out with glare in the window for the interior shots and overlapping images for the leaves on the trees and the green grass looked for lime green that grass green. I expect higher quality for what I paid and it was the most expensive package. It's has also been hard to get a response from the company to get the re-shoots and they agreed that a tripod should have been used and the company was disappointed in the photographer that was sent out. I did like the turn around time but would rather wait for higher quality photos out of post production. Maybe I'm to picky but when the home is listed for over $9MM I would think the company would want to showcase their work and deliver something that would be worthy of going in architectural digest. Update: I'm now working with Blande to fix things I'll keep you posted. read more

Look elsewhere. I had Rancho Photos take real estate photos. I agree that their pricing is competitive, and there were able to turn around in 24 hours. However, it was not at all what I expected, and I was extremely disappointed. The pictures represented on their website are obviously edited and retouched. The photos they delivered are not. Many of the pictures I received were blown out, even in rooms that didn't have much light coming through the windows. There was extreme glare from windows, on glass tables, and curtains. They included a lot of useless photos and didn't include photos I wanted. I have spent several days Photoshopping the photos myself. I have had amazing pictures taken in the past, so I know the difference. The home looks better in person. I am even considering having another company out and redoing the shoot. read more
