I was not disappointed, in fact, I was delighted. Their staff was welcoming and friendly. Their vendors were the example of the Sunshine. They were bright, polite, professional, and helpful. Cheers to the dream coming true for our High Desert Citizens who hoped something like this market place would happen! I am learning a lot about the 2022 Apple Valley Community... I want to give a special thank you to Free Spirit Boutique who earned an unofficial 5 Star rating for their beautiful items. My wife is delighted with their gorgeous attire. As well as all of the other vendors who we interacted with. For those who we did not interact with, we will catch you on the next visit! See you again soon. :)

The decor on the hour side of the building drew me in. They even have a Joshua Tree in the very front. Pros: Lifelike replicas of animals found in the high desert A variety of things to explore: animals, cameras, geological artifacts, displays that can be touched, and information about prominent people in the community. They have a map table where the map consistently flips to show different things. The woman at the front was extremely friendly, helpful, and patient. There's a playroom (queue the parents with children across multiple age ranges). There's a scavenger hunt to keeps the kiddos interested and interacting. You can get reduced admission if you have an ebt card. Plenty of free parking. They have a well-kept, clean facility. They have a sheet with writing prompts near the end of the displays. Great for homeschooling and/or checking to see what your kiddos learned. Cons: I had to leave. They wouldn't let me stay overnight...just kidding! It may be far for you to drive to if you aren't local. In speaking with the woman at the front, she advised me that some displays change roughly every six months! It's awesome because they have wonderful displays.

They have a good variety of exotic animals, and one of the best parts was being able to get pretty close to them and even feed some of them with the help of the staff. The workers were very friendly and made the experience enjoyable, especially for a family. The prices were also very affordable. The sanctuary itself is fairly small compared to a traditional zoo, but I actually liked how close you could get to the animals. Parking was spacious, although just be aware that you have to drive down a pretty long dirt road to get there. I do always feel a little bad seeing animals outside of their natural habitats, but overall we really enjoyed our visit and thought it was well worth it. If you have a family and want to take the kids somewhere to see some exotic animals up close, or you're simply an animal lover looking for something different to do, I definitely recommend checking this place out!
