While I was never a patient there, St.Vincent's has been phenomenal in taking care of my boyfriend and my Mother when they had issues. It never dawned on me that behind the hospital in the Joe Adams building they were seeing people for everyday care. I went in and the staff were so friendly, seeing that I was a new patient. I had requested they send me all the new patient paperwork in the mail so that I could fill it out ahead of time, especially the medical records transfer and they did this in a matter of days. I waited maybe 10 minutes before I was called back. My new doctor, Dr. Katie Longo, might be slightly younger than me but she was so helpful an courteous. We reviewed all my old records and anything that may have come up since my last doctor's visit and she put everything in the system. She also informed me that I don't need certain exams as often as I had been going prior. I wish my old doctor had told me that. I could have saved myself unnecessary trips. I really like her and I love how it's so close to me now. I would definitely recommend this doctor's office to anyone.

My lab work was scheduled after my visit with the doctor, and then I received a text message advising that the date and time had been changed. Because I have low blood sugar, I cannot have a late-morning appointment. There were also three separate attempts to get my imaging orders sent to the correct location. While I did speak with some individuals who were professional on the phone, all of my imaging requests were routed through referrals, and that is where the process broke down. I understand that end-of-year volume may be a factor, but these issues have made scheduling unnecessarily difficult.

Seamless and quick then I walked out to check in for the x-ray where the experience was similar. I hope I can come to this facility again for some future things like mammograms, x-rays, and bloodwork. I would like to permanently break up with Labcorp. Right away he was telling me about a law where i need to take a drug test before he continues my prescription. I said ok since it was a law how can i even argue. Turns out I get a $220.00 bill from my insurance because they only covered $1000.00 of it. That was the last time i went to this doctor. My new doctor did not require me to take any lab tests and has been continuing my prescriptions without issue. Basically this guy is a crook and they are not in the healthcare practice. They are in it for business and to make money. They can care less about their patients and the costs that the incur. If you like paying and waiting for hours for your appointment then i highly recommend this place. If not, stay away.

This is definitely NOT the choice of the office staff but it is certainly affecting the practice. I've never had to chase down refills or pre-authorizations myself until recently (which is my biggest complaint as of now). If it weren't for my PCP....... I'd have left FFM/Millennium shortly after the switch. Everyone's healthcare should have the benefit of human care/interaction/interest and not just a "check here" mentaility.
