Came for the first time today. Fresh items and nice to discover this gem in Scarsdale. Got the tomatoes I was looking for. The staff could have been friendlier though.

There is another ramseys farm in New Jersey I do not know if they are related, I think not Mrs Ramsey was a strong bold outgoing welcoming npositive wonderful Swedish woman who created this incredible oasis of a simple down- to- earth GENUINE farm kn the south east corner of Scarsdale New York. Yes, Scarsdale New York! My Nisei Japanese-American parents discovered this oasis in 1958 when they moved us to Scarsdale " to get the best education possible". My dad too, had a lovely garden in our back yard but ran to Mrs Ramsey's farm 2-3 times EVERY week the minute she opened in late June to buy her spectacular super super fresh DELICIOUS CORN!!! Sadly she passed away too young 20 years ago but amazingly, her son took over and now with his beautiful Eastern European wife and lovely two small children STILL run this amazing farm. I am sure many developers have pestered them to sell out/ make monster profits by selling their land. But somehow her son keeps working striving very very hard to provide the lucky neighbors with huge vine ripened tomatoes, the Best fresh beans I have ever found, fragile ducats arugula, with some soil still attached to the sweet roots, pale celadon peppers, magnificent miniature Japanese eggplant, miniature white delicate eggplant and beautiful Italian parsley cilantro dill. And on and on and kn . In the early spring they have wonderful strong beautiful potted flowers and can crest custom ones as well. I now live in far away Minnesota. Our corn here is very good, but no where near as delicate and consistently sweet as Mrs Ramsey's. I just moved my daughter to westchester and have visited this rare wonderful farm many times in the last month. And I return home EVERY trip, with Mrs Ramsey's corn yes, in my suitcase!

Wonderful place. Always handy local spot to pick up some fresh fruit or a pumpkin for Halloween. FYI - They only accept cash.

I made the rounds grabbing a assorted of produce of fruits and veggies along with a few jars of jam and honey but the fresh baugette breads was the highlight for me as the bread was delicious and worth the visit alone . It's cool that many towns , villages , etc , in Westchester county have these seasonal weekend markets available for us city folks to enjoy . I recommend the hartsdale farmers market with a 4.5 stars yelp review , a bit pricey compared to your local supermarket but worth it in my opinion.

You can snag a parking spot right by Starbucks or adjacent to the Metro North station- if it's crowded. The many times we've stayed up in Woodstock, always make it a point to have a bite at the Bread Alone café- just because we know their breads/baked items are good. So when we noticed Bread Alone's table at this market, I was all over it. If Bread Alone isn't participating that particular Saturday, there are other Bread goods that you can get your hands on. With the exception of their Produce, there's also a Pickle & Olive table and Pastries too. This market is a decent fixture in these parts with basic essentials...... but it's really small. Seems like you can get away with a bigger selection over at the White Plains Farmer's Market. My only focus? The Bread Alone table (or any other baked goods).

I went specifically to procure pork from Thornwood Farms, which recently bailed out on the Ossining market (boo!!). I got my pork, and then some! A lavender farm stand makes Scarsdale its home, with beautiful gifts (sachets, etc.) and lavender scented baked goods. There are several produce stands, though only one vendor had (sort of pathetic looking) fruit. There is a fantastic cheese vendor where samples abound, and that day they were selling organic lamb spring rolls, which were delicious. There are two wineries, an Asian sauce vendor, a pickle vendor, and more. Surprisingly pleasant for tony Scarsdale! I'll be an occasional visitor.

The selection of breads and baked goods - trucked all the way from Meredith's Bakery in Kingston, N.Y. - was off to the side. The quiches and breads looked good, but I did not purchase any. I was after the produce. The overall selection was not very large, and I was disappointed. I was hoping for a wider selection of vegetables, and I didn't see any cheeses, jellies or honey on display for the customers, as the Cold Spring Farmers' Market offers. The larger tomatoes were nearly gone - only two were left when arrived, and one of the workers explained that they had a run on tomatoes that morning. I did choose some nice potatoes, shallots, grape tomatoes, nectarines and an onion, so I did not leave empty-handed, and my purchases totaled only $8, which is definitely less than I would have spent for the same amount of groceries at the supermarket. I had wanted to buy some mushrooms for sauteing as well, but declined when I saw that the cheapest ones on sale were $10/pound. What the hell? I'm giving the farmers' market two stars because the employee who rang up my purchases was really nice, and the grape tomatoes he suggested were delicious. Besides, they might have been having an off day. I plan on taking some trips back here to see how they fair as the summer season ends and fall kicks into gear. They're open through November, and hopefully they'll have some great pumpkins and squash.

I've been eating here since about 2017 when it was a great deal smaller with no seating inside but limited outside dining. Since it's expansion they offer so much more. A few things offered are ample seating inside and more space to move about. They have broadened the food selections. They are known for their hot food. If you want a good hot meal, this is your spot. But come early because things sell out quickly, they offer fantastic salads and a wide variety of salad dressings. On my visit I was really disappointed, that the salad and pasta cooler was half empty to the point of being depleted. They normally have meatless burgers and a bigger variety of pasta and beans. I chose the Farro Protein salad. It was really nothing to yelp about. So I'm yelping about the other stuff, not the Farro salad. Got it? Okay! They have pizza on the other side and a delicious bakery section in the expanded section. I loved the food so much that one year I asked them to cater a thanksgiving dinner with cream spinach and a carrot cake. All carrot cakes aren't the same, believe me. Cherry Lawn had one of the best, if not the best carrot cakes around. They also have a sushi section that's pretty tasty, as a matter of fact I just may go get sushi soon. They even have all sorts of flowers. They offer a huge parking lot for our convenience. Going in, you must form a line for the hot food, salad, and pasta sections. The customer service is wonderful here, they work in harmony like a bunch of worker ants. So uniformed and organized. If you want a variety of food and groceries, they have it.
