The Ramsden Arms (Hotel) is a pleasant, traditional pub north of Blackpool city centre, just a stone's throw from Blackpool North train station and a huge Sainsbury's. There's not much here for real ale lovers [only a couple of hand pumps available], but in all honesty real ale pubs are few and far between in this coastal town of "amusements". But the pub is nicely laid out and spacious, and it's just a comfortable place to relax and unwind if you want to avoid the often noisy, packed bars on the seafront. There's certainly no better traditional venue in the vicinity. Staff are friendly and laid-back, the real ale I had was fresh. Prices are very moderate, too. Recommended! read more
