During that time I had to look for medical care elsewhere and discovered Pacific Medical. My initial contact was with a receptionist (name ?) who was the most pleasant receptionist I believe I've ever met. She was so helpful and arranged an appointment for me to meet a new PCP (Primary Care Physician). She transferred all my medical records from UW Medicine making the process painless. Did I mention the receptionist was so very pleasant? After my initial meeting with my new PCP, I was thoroughly impressed with the staff at Pacific Medical. The medical facility is really close by my apartment, so traveling back and forth is not a problem. Lots of parking, with about half dozen Handicap parking stalls directly out from the front door of the clinic. Perhaps the time spent with negotiations between Aetna & UW Medicine was my good luck.

I was extremely nervous, but once we started talking, he was such a kind and caring man, that my nerves just faded. I felt like he listened to me and we worked out the best possible scenario for my needs. One thing I really appreciate about him is that he sat down and talked with me without typing. Every doctor I have been to in the past types their notes as they talk to me and I don't really feel heard. I am very grateful that I found him and I also want to say how appreciative I am of his nurse, Caroline, for reaching out to me personally the week prior to see how I was doing. I can't remember any prior doctor's office staff reaching out to me like that and she spent a considerable amount of time talking to me. I felt so much better after our chat! I definitely believe Dr. McLaughlin when he says Pac Med puts their patients first.

I will no longer return to this office due to the shoddy service received here. The doctor clearly overwhelms his schedule to the point patients wait 45-60 minutes past their scheduled time. When you do see him, the entire visit lasts less than 10 minutes. On top of that, he offers no advice, personalized care, or any real conversation. He clearly wants people in and out as fast as possible. They will bill you through the roof, though, for the 10 minutes they see you. Office staff is also inexperienced, apathetic, and some of the billing managers are rude.

I went to check up with my normal doctors office as advised and it was JUST ridiculous! Though, most of my hives had subsided upon arrival I was still feeling very sick and having some odd symptoms I had not experienced before. My apt was at 4:30. The last appointment of the day. The whole time the doctor and nurse were rushed. They kept looking at the time on the computer acting anxious to leave. I understand, it's Halloween but this is also my health. I had to TELL the doctor what tests I'd like to get done and some the hospital suggested. He didn't act a bit concerned or really care as long as he could get out of there ASAP. Some of the seats in the office should be repaired as the seats have been sat in so much they are dipping and sagging for cushion. Reception is friendly, nurses are friendly. It can take a bit to be called back to a room and the doctor seems to take a bit longer than I would like. However she is a specialist so I imagine she is super busy but guest service is important to keep in mind.

Dr. Troncales is a geriatrician who is caring, thorough and knowledgeable. She is my mom's PCP. My…read moremom is hard of hearing and Dr. Troncales has been extremely patient with her. She frequently makes sure that she was able to address my mom's questions and concerns. My mom is a retired physician and although quiet during appointments, she usually tells me a lot after every appt. She has been nothing but satisfied with Dr. Troncales. She appreciates that she does not feel rushed. She is grateful that she has gotten established with a physician who is so passionate about helping the older population.
