Dr. Shafipour is absolutely amazing. He is extremely easy to connect with when you are having a problem and is the kind of doctor you can only dream of having. I have not felt well for many years and it has never been diagnosed so I am constantly bugging him for suggestions as to whom to see next. He is extremely patient with me and does his utmost to find answers. He once said he likes to treat his patients as he would like to be treated. Well he would certainly be treated well. She reads the notes carefully from all the previous visits I've had, offers suggestions for preventative care, listens well to my input and quickly follows up with an Rx or an Imaging Request. I never feel rushed when I see her and it's nice that I never have to wait long for my appointment. Her medical assistants are really on top of things too. Immediately rapid Covid tested both of us. Negative two days in a row. Hey, he breathes where I breathe. Sunday, allegedly "Funday" would it be mimosas or urgent care? The latter. He kept telling me he went to UCLA urgent care. I Yelped it. Uh huh, nothing there. Finally, he found a business card in his Rolodex for here. (Yeah, who has one of those? He does.) Since we're both in the St. Johns' Providence system, I recommended we go to urgent care here today (no forms to fill out, etc.) since at the beginning of the pandemic lock down with zero home testing available, he was sick. He went here. Was it a cold or was it Covid then? Cold. Praise be! "Call them from that Rolodex card!", I yelled to determine if care is available on Sunday. It is. M-F: 8:30AM - 7:30PM Saturday & Sunday: 10:00AM - 2:30PM (Doors promptly lock at 2:20PM). Arrived at 11:30AM. Processed and seen by noon even with a few folks ahead. Vitals (A-OK), Covid, Strep test taken, negative. GREAT doctor! Professionalism with a capital "P". Sent home with OTC med Rx and to return or contact primary physician, or EMS if symptoms worsen. I'm not denying these things took place but Dr. Hopper took his time with us, answered all of my questions, and shared some tips. He was courteous and professional. Ultimately, it was a positive exchange. The real frustration was trying to find the place. There are two locations with this address; one in Venice and Santa Monica. Calling for clarification proved to be a no-go. Rather than being informed of the building name, I was told that they were by a Chik-fil-A. No specifications beyond that. There are two Chik-fil-As on Lincoln. Surely, any frustration I had is understandable. All in all, I appreciate the doctor's matter-of-fact way. No complaints with regards to that here.
