It was very convenient to where I needed to be, and it is located right behind the Civic Center, so that would be great if you have an event there. The lobby area is very large with great seating options, and it really has a glam feel to it. Check in was very easy, and the delightful employee made sure I was quickly to my room. I was given complementary water, so that came in handy with hydrating! There is just one elevator on the side were I needed to go, so I suppose that could be an issue if there's large crowds or for busy check in/check out times. My king room was on the 4th floor. The room is very large and was very clean. A large flat screen, mini fridge, coffee set up, and all the other usual items were there. The AC works VERY well, and it did not have that overly damp hotel room feel. I walked around the hotel, and it has a nice indoor and outdoor pool, and large workout room that even has free weights, and some of the rooms even have balconies overlooking the pool. I weighed my nearby restaurant options, but decided to just eat in the hotel bar area (I missed happy hour, but they have some deals during that.) I was a bit shocked at the prices of the food -- VERY affordable. I went back and forth on a few items and, per the sway of the employee there, chose the quesadillas. I was very satisfied and walked out not spending too much on a drink and dinner. I would have spent more if I would have gone off site. Back to my room, it was very quiet all night - nothing woke me up. The bed was pretty comfortable, and the shower worked all as it should. The icing on the cake is a noon check out! I was able to race, attend (and receive) the race award ceremony, go back to to the room to clean up and lie down for a bit, and then head home by 11:30. That is SO convenient when you sweat all morning and have a long drive home. I will absolutely stay here again when my path leads me to Houma in the future!

I just so happened to call the hotel shortly before my stay and was informed 'we can't honor your reservation.' I asked for the manager to call me back and haven't heard a word since. However, I see they went ahead and cancelled my reservation on the Hilton site. Sorry best friend, I can no longer serve in your wedding because I cannot find accommodations this close to your wedding date. Horrible, horrible experience. Especially considering that I'm a diamond member who stays exclusively at Hilton properties when traveling.

I had the ham and eggs, simple, "clean", delicious. My only reservation is for the potatoes. They are definitely just French fries in cube form, but they were hot and not too terrible. Kids would love them. My daughter had the French toast, which came adorned with strawberries and whipped cream. Yum. They haven't fixed anything that is old! The light above the mirror at the sink was falling and would just turn off randomly, so bad wiring. The coffee pot didn't work at all in the room, but yet did in the lobby and though they were going to put another in our room, we never got one. The worse problem we had was the shower, it had so little water pressure, it took over 20mins to rinse conditioner out of our hair! It was like a kinked water hose, it was bad!!! The food wasn't as good as it has been in the past either, but again, people were awesome. I really hope they figure this stuff out, as we love staying here and giving back to a local buis

Call before you book & make SURE the Satellite/TV works (if that's something that important to you). Room is clean & in a really good area of town. Chic-fil-a & Walmart just .2 miles away. A lot of businesses on this strip. I would gladly stay here again- but I will call about the TV situation before I book. (They will probably lie - like I feel they have done all evening)

The master bedroom has a king sized bed, the second bedroom has a queen bed and the third bedroom has a double bed. Each bedroom and the living room all have big screen tv's. Great front porch to sit and people watch. The back patio is wonderful and big. The neighbors thought we were the new owners and were stopping by and welcoming us to the area. I told Yelp several times that the place is not in my name, but they have not edited it as of yet. I was scheduled to stay there five days and I liked it so much, I asked to add the weekend as well, if they were open and they are! My two sons stayed with me the 7 days and my grandchildren stayed two nights. We all had a great time. I hated to leave. I most definitely will stay here from now on, when I visit my family. I highly recommend this place.
