I had called a nearby mechanic to receive the tow, but minutes before our arrival at the auto shop Fazl mentioned that my insurance would cover a tow all the way home to SF. He pulled over while I decided what to do, and when I told him that I would indeed like a tow to SF he offered to give me and my friend time for a meal in town before leaving (we hadn't eaten all day).
