Ralph's is a higher priced grocery store in comparison to Vons/Albertsons. Be thankful if an employee speaks to you as you do your shopping. When you are checking out, do not expect a greeting from the cashier or the bagger. Management needs to improve their relationship with their employees which correlates to a friendly environment for everyone. read more

Went into the store last night to look for a product. The store actually have the product in stock which was awesome because the Carrillo St., Ralph did not have the product in stock. The checker who rang my order up was the most unprofessional gentleman cashier I have run into quite some time unfortunately I did not get the gentleman's name but clearly management needs to talk to their cashiers regarding customer service. This review in no way expresses my dislike for Ralphs as a grocery store, I actually really like Ralphs. This is a review for Instacart!! I placed an order 10/14 at 3pm on the Instacart app, was told it would be delivered between 7-8pm same day. Nope! Nothing came, no email, no call. When I called Instacart I was unable to reach a customer service rep. I called today (10/15) and was told "Ooops, sorry, I system was down and all orders got cancelled." I barely got a sorry and was told to re-order. I am amazed that a tech company based in SF cannot find a way to notify their customers that orders have been cancelled by a basic email or phone call! So basically my review is to warn others to NOT use Instacart!! read more

This review is for the Bakery Department and the catering Department at the Goleta location . They messed up an order for me months ago and I swore I would never use them again. This time it was the bakery. The order was fine but the person working there was SO RUDE! Unbelievably RUDE... I will never use either dept ever again! Candy is an amazing employee. I was in line waiting to pay for my food and I noticed an older woman and her grandson in front of me. Neither of them spoke English but Candy did her absolute best to be kind and animated towards them in a way that I felt helped them understand her, regardless of the language barrier. Candy offered the boy a sticker and was nothing but kind and patient with the woman buying her groceries. Her friendly behavior continued with me as I paid for my things and kept going with the people behind me in line. I liked the old employees better. New manager Veronica is rude. I felt like a bother to her. Left me waiting for 20 mins and never came back! No one else wanted to help either. Store wasn't even busy. Too busy clicking in or out for their breaks and acting busy. Shopped there for past 8 years and I'm thinking of changing stores now. read more

Since they've remodeled this Ralph's, it's so fun to shop there! This is my go to grocery store and I feel like I'm in here at least a couple times a week. The staff here are always so friendly and helpful and it makes shopping so much more enjoyable. I also like it because it never gets super busy which is nice and I'm a person that doesn't like to be around a lot of people so this is a great thing for me! They have a redbox out front so you can rent movies as well and the deli makes great sandwiches! Their desserts are amazing and overall, just a really great grocery store! read more

This place has great prices and a wide variety of items to choose from. Whether its meats, veggies, or condiments, Ralph's will not disappoint. The whole store is run efficiently and the cashiers are great. We were helped by David B. who was very personable and kind to my girlfriend and I! Most HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I called trying to order a cake from the bakery & when the lady with the accent picked up she put me on hold by putting the phone down so i can hear the back round but she never came back on the phone. I called again trying to order a cake for my sons birthday & she couldnt understand me nor was shw able to do it bcz she didnt have a picture. I told her the picture is online on the ralphs bakery & she was stating she needs a picture. Are you kidding me!?! Never again. We are coming in from out of town & i cant believe how difficult it is to place an order. I have never had this issue with other ralphs bakery. read more

The manager here is amazing, he's such a hard worker and truly cares about customer satisfaction. I've been helped by him on multiple occasions, and he always goes above and beyond to cater to customers' needs. If you want to go to a store and have the best customer service come here! They have the friendliest most helpful employees that go above and beyond. I went in with my 2yr old and the bakery department was so beyond amazing with her help. She found exactly what I needed for my sons birthday cake that no other store was able to do. Her name is Alicia. As I'm walking out another employee offered to throw my toddlers snack trash away for me and offered if I needed his assistance for anything. Just in the 10 minutes I was there they were awesome and I wouldn't want to go anywhere else! :o) read more

This is my favorite Ralph's. I frequent this location for groceries weekly and I had to write this review to let everybody know how great the stories. It's always well stocked clean the staff Checkers Personnel on the floor always are willing to help with a smile on their face they treat you like your are regular friend they go above and beyond and many times when I was lost and couldn't find an item I'll ask someone on the floor and then not only put me in the direction that the walk me to it just last week I couldn't find the location of the kendalls and I stopped a lady named Lisa who works for the store she stopped what she was doing smiled told me she had no problem with showing me exactly where they were and walked me all the way over to them even pointing out some recommendations on ones that were her favorite when employees go to this point of making you feel like you matter I think it's then that you should post something to let everybody know what an outstanding job this employee and this Ralphs does. This is where I shop several times a week, so there are definitely things I like about the store. However, they need to do a much better job training their baggers. The baggers are mostly young kids, so I'm not expecting a serious professional. But...they should not be talking to other employees about their social lives while they're working. I do not want to listen!!! And while they're so involved in conversation they are not paying attention to what they're doing. I just had a purchase and was using 3 cloth bags. The bagger made one bag so heavy that I couldn't lift it and another bag held only a bag of chips. When I mentioned to her that I would have to repack my groceries when I got to my car, she just laughed. read more

Surprised by the negative reviews. After the departure of Von's, had to find a new grocery store. Haggen's incredibly overpriced, poor selection. Friends recommended this Ralphs. Lived here over 25 years and never patronized until now. This is a great store, wide aisles, plenty of selection both organic and non. I found the staff to be very friendly and they helped me sign up for my Ralphs rewards card. This is now my "go to" store. Prices are good, and I no longer need to feel robbed by Haggen's, Whole Paycheck and other overpriced grocers in the area. read more
