It's also very dog friendly and overall just has a safe, relaxed, family atmosphere. Definitely one of the better parks in the area.

You are able to rent the area in 3hour increments so we rented the 8:00-11:00am time block as well as the noon-3:00pm time block. Depending on the season the prices vary in the city of Rancho Cucamonga. It's about $90/3 hours with hidden maintenance fees on top too. I think we get a better bang for our buck at the parks in Upland where you can pay by the hour and pick your own times too. Mountain View Park has a small parking lot with a football/soccer field, baseball field, a full court basketball court, a children's playground area and swing set and an exercise court around the perimeter of the park walk way. In addition to the large picnic shelter area, there are many small open picnic tables and barbecue areas that available on a first come first serve basis. The hexagon shaped shelter area gave us much room for creativity with our blue and yellow Minions themed party. The shade was really nice for our older relatives who doesn't love the sun. The kids loooooved the playground. There were swings and slides and some of the kids were just playing in the sand. I have a soft spot for parks with sand, instead of the nasty wood chips. One of my nephews brought his soccer ball and they were all over the large grass fields. We even had a pinata but these trees were too short. It was no challenge for these energy pumped kids. The kids had a blast and our party was a success, but I feel like this park it still far from a 5 star. It is definitely on the smaller side so a lot of the group was standing around or scattered to the nearby tables to make it work. I prefer it when the large picnic area is enough to fit the whole group, especially when the city is overcharging for the space.

We are absolutely in love with how many trees there are for shade and so much greenery around. The view from the park to the mountains is absolutely breathtaking. The park is also well maintained. No trash or tagging at the park. Just occasionally dog poop on the sidewalk but not enough to be a huge complaint. The restrooms are also pretty clean, no hand soap our paper towels to dry your hands. We love that the park has a playground for the bigger kids and a separate playground for the younger kids such as babies and toddlers. The each have their orb sets of swings as well with 4 seats for the older kids and 4 seats for the younger kids. Also has a basketball court that's on the side.

The fields that we have played on are very well maintained and nice to play on. The bleachers are always clean, and its nice that they are covered. The bathrooms are always clean, but they are your typical park bathrooms. Don't expect soap, mirrors, or paper towels. BUT you can expect stall doors that lock, fully stocked toilet paper all the time, and graffiti free walls and doors. The grass areas that are not a part of the baseball fields are mowed, and clean, and shaded. There is plenty of space to post up when waiting for your next game. The parking situation is not bad. We come expecting for it to be packed because we are always there on tournament weekends. There are 3 parking lots (maybe there might be a 4th, but I'm not too sure.) We have never had a problem finding a spot to park, but there is no guarantee that it will be close. The playground that is here is small, but clean. The same goes for all of the tables and covered areas... no overflowing trashcans, and clean, graffiti-free tables. All in all its not a bad place to spend a weekend at for a tournament.
