Until there was an opportunity for me to have an independent, reputable roofer give an objective evaluation, at no charge whatsoever, including photos and a full report of damage, I was not aware nor would it have been possible for me to be aware of the extensive, permanent damage you have inflicted upon my home. There is no mold anywhere in the world which is capable of causing huge gaps in flashing on a roof. Multiple large gaps in the flashing on the roof your crew installed here are the result SOLELY of bad workmanship. "Mold" does not cause huge gaps in flashing, leaving wide open holes through which rainwater, melted ice, melted snow are entering the ceiling structures. None of this has anything to do with "mold." The ceiling located directly below the wide open gaps in flashing is water-damaged. A 10-year-old child can understand that the roof is leaking, thanks to wide open holes that were created, by horribly bad workmanship, when the flashing was installed. Look at those photos and tell me where you see "mold!" Blaming your negligence and horrible workmanship on "mold" is beneath you, in terms of an excuse that even a child would be fooled into accepting. So you're saying that "mold" caused the bad workmanship, as displayed in some 27 photos we have. --No! Not even close. "Tree damage" did not cause a drip edge to be incorrectly installed. All of this is at the doorstep of BAD WORKMANSHIP AND DENIAL -- REFUSAL TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY. If the roof does not need box vents, why did you personally write into the contract that "box vents" are to be included, with this roof installation?! Shingles are wavy, damaged, uneven, haphazardly installed, and yet this is merely the tip of the iceberg. I guess we can blame "mold" for all of this as well, right? And let's blame "mold" for the fact that roofing cement has been smeared all over electrical conduit, causing permanent damage! YOU WERE INDEED CONTACTED MULTIPLE TIMES, as soon as I discovered the damage you've made to my home. I texted and you did not respond. I emailed multiple times and you did not respond. I filed grievances with Better Business Bureau and with Consumer Protection and you did not respond to them, either. You were asked to respond over and over and over again, before my attorney contacted you.  As soon as you were aware I have these photos, you refused to respond. If there were damaged structures interfering with the roof installation, this should have been noted in writing, including photos, and I should have been informed. But I was never so informed.  Any former leaking was to be definitively resolved with installation of a new roof by Empire Home Improvement.  Instead of work completed in an workmanlike manner, you have left HUGE OPEN GAPS in flashing, in multiple places across my roof.  Rain, melted snow, melted ice are pouring into the ceiling structures. Water-damaged ceiling is directly below HUGE OPEN GAPS in the flashing --- horrible and indeed negligent workmanship by Empire Home Improvement. This has absolutely and literally NOTHING WHATSOEVER TO DO WITH "MOLD" OR WITH ANYTHING BUT YOUR LAUGHABLY BAD WORKMANSHIP!! You are a thoroughly dishonest person, who does not stand by the quality of his workmanship whatsoever. You were asked multiple times to make this right and you simply ignored many, many requests to respond. Sure, the old roof was leaking -- which is the reason for installing a new roof.  Any new roof is not supposed to leak, Greg.  Any new roof is supposed to PREVENT rain, melted ice, snow, cold air,etc. from having access to the inside structures of the home.  This is not and was not a "mold problem." Did mold cause huge open gaps in the flashing, through which rain, snow, ice, cold air, etc. are entering the ceiling structures?!  I'm sorry but your explanation is simply WRONG.   You have not examined the roof.  You did not inspect it when your crew was finished. If you had, then you would recognize the DAMAGE caused by your crew. Electrical conduit has been smeared and covered and damaged by roof cement -- more horrible work by your crew. That incorrectly installed drip edge is not the fault of anything but your bad workmanship. Shingles are wavy, uneven, and generally installed in a totally INCOMPETENT, NEGLIGENT MANNER.  I am owed a new roof PLUS the cost for repairing extensive purposeful DAMAGE to my home, caused by Empire Home Improvement.  We have the required proof and this will not be the forum.

He showed up the day the insurance estimator came to do their estimate, he spoke with him and walked with him through the process making sure he considered everything listed on damage Empires damage report. he brought out several options for roof color as well as gutters. He started within 2 weeks of the insurance approval etc. I was very happy to see that he had his crew fix a facia at the peak of my house that was NOT damaged by hail but was in rough shape. He also had them replace screens on 2 windows that were old and in rough shape but was not damaged by the hail. I appreciated those things being replaced and he did that on his own to make them look nice. Greg always responded very fast when I would text or call with questions, his communication was very good throughout the entire process.

I knew of cardinal foundation through my automotive work, Steve(owner) is a fantastic customer of ours and i had been told he does fantastic work and decided to ask him to come and take a look at my cracking foundation. Steve quickly set up an appointment with me for the following Saturday, he took a thorough look around my basement and reassured me that all of the damage would be repairable and was honest to the point of letting me know that I probably would not have to address any of it right away as it was a slow sinking issue. However I expressed the extent of my concern to him and he set up a plan to repair and support my home. we set a date for a around 45 days later to begin, and as promised Steve and his team showed up and got to work, I left a key for him and by the time I was able to stop by on my lunch, less than three hours, they had already installed temporary supports and had removed five large sections of concrete for the repair. I was highly impressed as they did all of this not only in a extremely quick period of time, but also in my basement that has a staircase maybe three feet wide and with ceilings that max out at six feet at most! Steve gave me a call a few hours later to update me that they had poured all the new concrete fillers, cleaned and locked up for me. I of course had to take a curious peak at the work when I got home that night, everything was very clean and perfectly poured/ leveled. after letting the concrete set they returned about a week later and installed the new supports, after I stopped in that day on my lunch, Steve and his team were able to address a separate concern of mine and shim/ raise one corner of my home at the foundation. when I returned home that evening, walking around it felt like a brand new house! no more squeaks and rattles from the floor and I could jump up and down without a single noise from any of the surrounding rooms! I was very impressed! after looking everything over once complete i was blown away! I never thought a repair could be done both quickly and cleanly, it was amazing! throughout the whole process I felt informed and allowed to be involved as much as I wanted, I was allowed to touch most everything, I was also relieved to have someone I could trust in my home while I wasn't there. to top it all off the price was extremely reasonable and Steve informed me that he would stand behind the work and address any issues that could arise in the future, though I doubt ill have any issues based on the appearance of the work! However, the piping of the kitchen sink was done with corregated tubing which caused a massive leak. That took days to get anyone to come help so I can wash dishes. The fireplace in this 1900's home was never sealed off making the home cold and the electric bill sky high ($551 on our last month there). There were zero fixtures in this home upon moving in as far as window coverings, not even a toilet paper holder. All of these had to be provided by us ON TOP of our insanely overpriced rent of $2050. Which btw, they're trying to charge more now that we're moved out, don't fall for it. Paid every month rent early. However multiple times, I was asked where my rent was TWO WEEKS AFTER the due date, even though I texted the landlord every month as I was dropping rent off. Communication was horrible. To try to get someone to fix something usually took a solid week to even hear a reply. Then I'd get a follow up text usually a month later asking me if maintainance ever came. Two months before we moved out, we got a text from a random guy saying he was our new landlord, Cory. No heads up from the former landlord, and not even a personal meeting or visit, not even a phone all from the "new landlord." Just a text from a random guy I'm now supposed to give my $2050 to every month. NOW Cory is saying that we will not get even a portion of our deposit back ($2000 deposit) because we left leaves on the deck, the grout was "dirty" and there were scuffs on the wall. In what world would those things cost $2000 to fix. Not to mention out of the 4+ places I've rented from in the past, I've ALWAYS got my deposit back because I'm an ideal tenant. Don't fall into their trap. You've been warned.
