The sump pump is also tied to the new drain system. Looking at my yard after the job you can't tell they were here. Curtis and his crew were able to save my sod and put it back over parts of the drainage system! They were fast and super clean! I have a home sound system and the day of the measurement, I asked the gentleman if my plans to run wires are around the perimeter of the room would work for installation. I was told yes, no problem. I spent several hours running the wires and securing the to the subfloor. I took pictures of what I had done and took them to the Korfage location and showed them to the same gentleman that had done the measurements and he again assured me that was not a problem. Day of installation and the installers arrive and tell me those wires were absolutely not going to work. I watched as they pulled all the wires I had carefully laid and ran them down the center of the floor which I had tried to avoid as I feared they will be visible after the carpet padding gets packed down after foot traffic of the course of a few years. Very frustrating. For anyone who has read this far, your takeaway should be a few things. 1. Korfages has a great selections of carpet. 2. The sales process was easy as I took samples home which made the selection quite easy. 3. Their prices are a bit higher than the big box stores but buying carpet from a guy that was mixing paint the day before kinda offsets that issue. 4. Everyone that I dealt with at Korfhages were very nice. 5. My carpet looks fine, the installers were professional. 6. I'm not sure of why the disconnect between what I was told about the wiring by the measuring gentleman and the installers but that was frustrating. I hope I don't have a wire lump across my floor in a year or so. 7. Would I use Korfhages again? I think I would but I would likely ask some additional pointed questions.

Within days of moving in on November 19th, our contractor found severe hidden issues: active roof leaks, soaked insulation, wood rot, mold in the walls and ceiling, and improperly installed metal roofing where sunlight was visible through gaps. Repairs cost $3,600. I first sent Jim photos and videos showing some of the discovered damage on November 21st and received no response. I then sent even more photos, as well as the contractor's report on Dec 22nd, 2025. For weeks he ignored my emails and texts, then repeatedly tried calling me to "talk on the phone" instead of addressing it in writing like I had requested numerous times. I gave him a written deadline to refund the inspection fee of $750 or I'd file a complaint with the Kentucky Board of Home Inspectors; he missed the deadline and still hasn't taken responsibility. The inspection report also omitted basics such as the HVAC system details, detailed roof description, main water shut-off, and electrical panel. Buyers beware! My experience shows why it's critical to hire an inspector who fully documents findings and stands behind their work.

We have repeatedly contacted Freddie and asked him to have the work redone, or to reimburse us for the cost to have it fixed. He initially responded and promised to work with us, but since April, has completely ghosted us and refused to make this right in any way.
