When our family started going to RAK back in November of 2014, we had NO idea our lives were about to change in a very big way. Why did we start going to RAK? Our then-3-year-old daughter was very sick -- she was in and out of the ER several times for viral-induced asthma. Our family was living in constant fear and worry every time she got sick. I love RAK! I started going there eight years ago because of a running injury. Dr. Ryley not only helped with the injury, but also helped me find balance between running and strength training, which has resulted in drastically fewer injuries. When one does pop up, I can usually use the tools he's given me to work through it on my own. I love the doctors' holistic approach too. I wasn't full-on "crunchy," but I developed some of my own beliefs about traditional medicine watching my mom be treated for cancer. After seeing everything she went through, it felt like there had to be a better way. I've learned a lot about nutrition and lifestyle practices from the doctors at RAK that affirms that. Now I'm doing the health scan/detox regimen too. I wasn't having any major problems and I was already physically active and eating well before I started, but I know there's always room for improvement. Dr. Katie has helped me learn a ton about my body during the process. I can't honestly say I've felt amazing every single day, but I realize my body is doing a lot of work it needs to do on some of those not-so-great days. I have a better idea of what my body needs and what I need to avoid. I'm more aware of how certain foods make me feel, so I'm starting to identify food sensitivities I've had for a really long time. I'd been having symptoms that I just assumed were normal. I've been sleeping better and am starting to have more energy than before I started the protocol. Even though I'm not done yet, I can already tell I'm going to feel better. The chiropractic care is outstanding too. I moved out of state for awhile and now I'm back but have to commute to Rochester. I've been taking my children to RAK chiropractic since my daughter was a newborn. Last year I started weekly adjustments for them and it has not only improved poor sleep patterns, skin issues, and digestive regularity but it has also helped keep my kids healthy. Dr. Katie makes my children feel comfortable. She is attentive and gentle and walks you through each step of the adjustment. Despite bringing my kids weekly- I myself have never been adjusted. Recently I hyperextended my back, and I couldn't even stand without feeling like I would collapse from the pain. In an emergency- I went to see Dr. Ryley. He walked me through each step of the adjustment, explained everything and checked in through each step to make sure I was doing okay. I came back a couple days later and was adjusted by Dr. Katie. I look and feel amazing and its all thanks to RAK Chiropractic! For 12 years I had been to several specialty areas within Mayo Clinic - never any answers just more pills to mask my pain. My newborn was fussy and colicky and I was exhausted. my mom recommended we bring her in to see Dr. Katie. I thought it sounded crazy to bring a baby to a Chiropractor, but it was the BEST decision ever! After a few adjustments she started sleeping through the night (9pm-6am) (and this was at only 2 months old) and she was no longer colicky. Dr. Katie took the time to explain what she was doing and why/how it would help our daughter. A couple months ago my daughter had a bad cold/cough so after a few days I took my daughter to be seen at Mayo. ( A simple nurse visit with no shots costs $85). Dr. Riley helps me with my chronic pain. I have chronic migraines, pinched nerves and a finicky nervous system. The amount of pain that I go through has been REDUCED tenfold. The staff is super friendly, it feels more like I'm getting comfortable in a friends home rather than a sterile doctors office. If I'm having a problem and feel like I need to be seen ASAP, I'm, more than likely, able to be seen within an hour, or 2 on busy days, of calling in. Never had a problem with billing and if there was one, I let them know and it was fixed right then and there. For those saying that they just don't care about you, that's just NOT true. I have been coming to RAK Chiropractic for 5 years. I was suffering from awful migraines. Someone suggested I try a chiropractor. I have been seeing Dr Katie for quite a few years. Her and my mom were in the same small business networking group. I have regularly seen her since.
