Rajah has been on this site for years. An unpretentious Indian restaurant with a fairly standard menu. There is a list of more expensive 'speciality' dishes, if you fancy pushing the boat out. Generally, the food is not remarkable, but it's ok, especially after a drink or two. Portion sizes are good, and you won't leave hungry.
They usually have some kind of deal on, e.g. 3 courses for ten pounds from a special menu, and this makes a visit here worthwhile. If you live in or near Sherwood, give it a go. Your only other option in the area is Saagar, which varies wildly from one visit to the next, and I have only heard bad things about it recently.
Rajah: Standard curry, decent prices especially if they have an offer on. Don't go along if you prefer ultra-modern brasserie style Indian restaurants that plague Maid Marian Way nowadays, this is much more old school. One of my gripes with the place is that is closes around 10.30 - 11pm, which is no good if you fancy a post-pub curry.
